I have been wrestling with this machine so hard and I don't have a lot of nice things to say about it, to be honest. Nonetheless, please enjoy a sample set on me!

That's funny to me to be honest. I checked out some of your other videos. You've developed your skills on this unit quite well.
I'm nowhere near your level, and have mostly only good things to say about the Electribe II Sampler! lol
My only real complaints about the Electribe II Sampler are:
- I wish they had included more analog modeled Oscillators from the Grey/Blue Unit.
- I wish they included the Filters of the Grey/Blue unit, more than just the three basic ones.
- 8 Bars for the Sequencer would've been preferable.
- The dedicated infamous "Roll" button from the EMX-1 and ESX-1.
- At least a minimum of 48 mb of Sample memory would've been much better.
That being said, I purchased my unit Used for less than $300. It's one of the most inspiring pieces of stand alone gear I have in my studio at the moment.
I'm just learning my way around the Electribe II. Haven't even tried Exporting Audio to my Registered copy of Ableton Live 9 Lite edition.

And when I said I didn't have a lot of nice things to say, it was a time when the unit was rather new, and I was really hoping for a truly-updated ESX, and this unit is definitely not that. Also, since then, a few updates have added requested features, including pattern-chaining, which is why I am considering getting another.
I can totally understand the sentiment. The Electribe II are definitely NOT updates of the EMX-1 or the ESX-1.
The only Electribes I've used prior were the EA-1 and the ER-1. While those sounded good...I'm much happier to have access to 16 Parts, more polyphony, and Insert per Part.
I've seen a number of dope PsyTrance, IDM, and Industrial videos up here made with both the EMX-1 or the ESX-1.
I wish Korg had consulted more with their Tribe base on the design for the Electribe II. An extra pair of 1/4" Sub-Outs for sub-routing would've been nice as well. Especially considering there's room on the back of the consoles for it.
The edges on the Time Slice you brought up, for example. Didn't know about that since I've never used the ESX-1. I've watched a lot of Comparison videos between the generations. I can get what your other complaints are or may have been.

one question - is it possible to record a new sample at the sime time while some other samples are playing? or does the other samples are stopping as soon as i press the record button? it would be SO NICE if you can give me a feedback - can´t find any infos since weeks and korg does not answear ;) cheers, joss :)
+JossLoner Hello.. Yes, you can record samples during playback, but you will be resampling the entire output, including the incoming signal. There is no way to isolate just the incoming signal.

+akos bacso Hello.. I have the files, but I believe if you are past 1.10 you can't downgrade without an additional hack, which makes these files useless for you. What version are you on now?

Hello.. I used the OS hack to load the Sampler firmware into the Electribe, so it's an Electribe *and* Sampler, interchangeable in about 60 seconds from the SD card.
Wtf! So you can get back to the electribe you got whenever you like? can it keep the filters from electribe after changing to Sampler electribe?
You don't get the additional Modeled Filters like the Acid Filter on the Grey/Blue unit if you use the hack.
I've read if you use the hack to get the Sampler features, you only get the three basic default Low Pass, High Pass, and Band Pass Filters from the Sampler II.
pretty awesome stuff. do you know how can check the software version? im hoping the gap between patterns has become smaller its super annoying when use it.
Hello.. This hacked unit has the latest operating systems, which are 1.1 and 1.06 respectively. I can't remember which is which.
Ah, is this originally not the sampler? I was aware of that hack but just wanted a sampler anyway
+Jeremy W This is the Electribe, not Electribe Sampler. I originally purchased the Sampler, by returned it when the hack became a thing. I was curious about the synths added waveforms and filter models.
