  • We took a brand new Tisas Zigana PX9 Gen 3 “Duty” pistol and ran 1000 rounds through it. The testing was designed to be realistic and practical and to mimic the conditions that the end user could expect.
    In addition to the pistol, we evaluated Wolf 9x19mm ammunition, carry gear from CrossBreed Holsters and the EDC CLP product. Professor Paul ran myriad shooting drills and discussed them throughout.

    I own a Zigana PX9 Gen 3 Duty model. It is an extraordinary handgun at a great price. Reliable, accurate, with a smooth trigger pull, great ergonomics, plus a threaded barrel, fiber optic sights, flat face trigger, flared magwell, and one 18 and one 20 MecGar magazines. I am very pleased with it. Turkey is making great handguns; companies like Canik, Tisas, Sarsilmaz, Stoeger, BRG, Girsan, are manufacturing quality handguns at affordable prices for most of us, working middle-class Americans.

    I have the PX9 Gen 3 and I love it. I have only run about 400-500 rounds through it so far and the only issue I have had is it won't lock the slide back on 115 grain ammo at the last round I have switched to 124 grain Winchester ammo and ALL issues have vanished. Love this gun, I bought mine on sale from a online retailer for $249.99 !! It's now my daily carry replacing my SDS 1911 which I love dearly but it is much heavier that my PX9 ..

      @Windshieldchoke Před rokem

      Hey man at least it cycles 115 and doesn’t jam! I’d much rather have the slide not lock than the gun being very ammo specific that’s for sure. But yes 124 grain is what I hear runs best.

      @realwelder3529 Před 4 měsíci

      Mine locks back with 115 grain, but even if yours doesn't... that's not really a deal breaker IMO.

    Great video I have been a Glock man for years. I talked to a veteran who told me to try the Tisas px9 carry. I went out and bought one the next day. Excellent gun trigger is outstanding out of the box. I was so impressed that I got a Tisas 1911 carry and it is the best 1911 I own. Like I said great gun in price and quality. Thank you for your service sir.

    Very good for the money. I might have missed it as I am hearing impaired and watch in CC but the PX-9 magazines are Sig P226 mags. The supplied ones are Mecgar brand. one 18RD, one 20RD. I have 2 of them and they do not like Aguila ammo, (124gr) but then again, neither do I. Zero failures with S&B, MagTech, Blazer Brass, PMC and Ammo Inc. Yes, I shoot cheap stuff.

      These things take P226 magazines.
      Mec-gar sells shorter P228 magazines, 15rd capacity.
      You could chop the grip frame shorter to match 228 mags and basically make the grip closer to a Glock 19. You'd have to figure out which grip inserts you like best and possibly glue them in before the chop job. You'd still be able to use the stock mags as extended reloads.
      The optics cut is direct RMR with no adapter plate, low slung enough that the stock iron sights will co-witness at least a little bit. That's a GOOD setup.
      Iron sights are Glock compatible front and rear.

      In addition to taking Glock sights (not that you need them) and sig 226 mags, the slide is a direct mount for RMR cut optics and needs no mounting plate. It cowitnesses with the stock sights. This pistol is a sleeper.

    I bought 2 of these yesterday and the weekend before I bought one and went to the property and shot the piss out of it. I like it! Perfect first gun for someone, because it comes with the cut slide already and flat face trigger. Sig 229 magazines fit, XDM holsters that, and the sites are Glock 17. So you can find accessories really easy, these guns are really good for the price point. Yesterday I paid $248.56 each. Get them while you can because I'm sure like canik they will go up in price never to come down!

    • @JohnDoeEagle1
      @JohnDoeEagle1 Před rokem +1

      For the price they are halfway decent pistols but they aren't as great as he makes them out to be. I also found it interesting he goes on to trash .40 S&W pistols that are very well known and proven to be extremely reliable. Modern 9mm tactitards annoy me to no end. Just like any other reviewer on CZcams that doesn't know as much as he claims to know. He said "you are a beginner once and a student for life". I beg to differ after 41 years of being into guns, knives, reloading, bullet casting etc etc. I refer to myself as a EXPERT and nothing short of it. He also was shooting pretty close for my taste and doing mediocre at best at it. At 5 - 7 yards you should see one ragged hole bullet groups if you are any good at all. I can also tell how long he has been shooting by the style of his modern thumbs forward grip. Nobody shot like that prior to the early 2000s........you use the serrated notch on the front of the trigger guard with your support hand index finger. Any highly experienced or "seasoned" guy would already know that too.
      I'm calling blowhard here......

      The Canik tp9 is very, very well regarded and it started near this price point.
      The Ruger 10/22 has more material in it by volume than this pistol and it’s not that much more than $200.00.
      Reviews are almost universally positive.
