The smoker, to me at least doesn’t have much use because I usually use flint and steel on animals before I kill them.
The blast furnace is cool but the cost of iron, smooth stone, furnaces to smelt the iron and smooth stone, furnaces to craft the blast furnace and coal for fuel is to costly to use early game. I’d prefer to just make multiple furnaces and then switch to blast later game.

You don't have to bulk smelt ore. You do however have to bulk smelt stone, glass, bricks, nether bricks, terracotta, etc. Also, it's a much better idea to bring a furnace with you rather than both a smoker, and a blast furnace. It takes up less space, and is multipurpose.
Not to mention camp fires cook food for free

I like how he ignored the fact that the smelter and blast furnace, the TWO BEST BLOCKS in minecraft, are crafted with furnaces, thus making furnace the most useful block in the game.
Not to mention you need smooth stone to craft the blast furnace in the first place, which requires at least three, probably six uses of the furnace.
Needing a block to craft another block doesn't make it better. Just because you need sticks to craft a netherite sword doesn't make the sticks any better as an item.

Campfires are also a good alternative to furnaces if you don’t have stone yet. They cook 4 food in 30 seconds total compared to 1 in 10 seconds. Or… use a smoker for 4 in 20 seconds…
Main thing with campfires is that they don’t use fuel - they can only store 4 items instead of 64 though so they kind of suck for mass production also why wouldn’t you have stone literally get a wood pickaxe and mine down lol

Furnaces do give you more XP though. Smokers and blast furnaces give half the amount of XP. So you are choosing to sacrifice XP for a quicker smelting/cooking time.
You could just go kill things to compensate for that missed xp
personally I wanna mention a point nobody else brought up not even camman which is that the two better furnaces take a bit more resources to craft not a lot but it's probably something you won't be able to have early game you'll need a furnace early game to even remotely have the essential martials needed to make those items and more it's not the most expensive ever but like you'll need iron for one of them and the furnace itself to even get that iron you'll need a furnace it's the easiest thing to obtain early game

I use regular furnaces for super smelters. Its kind of a hassle to build multiple super smelters for both blast furnaces and smokers.

Same, i first build my super smelter using blast furnace because of bunch of copper and iron i got from veins. But after i done melting all of them i'm kinda skeptical to build another one for the normal furnace, but i think "why didn't i just chamge the blast furnace to the normal ones", and that make things easier

2. Blast Furnace costs 5 iron and there is only one in every village.
3. Furnace is cheap and can be easily obtained by starters

Reasons why ur wrong:
1. The furnace can smelt anything while the others can’t
2. The furnace is cheap
3. You need a furnace to craft the “better furnaces” anyway
4. They’re much easier to use in a super smelter
5. They’re the easiest to obtain inmovable by redsstone block
6. They’re OG, one of the very first items added to Minecraft
7. The’re great for early game
8. Even if you need much more of them 8 furnaces is much faster than 1 of then a smoker or blast furnace despite it still being cheaper
As a bedrock player I can say that it isn't 100% immovable by redstone.

Me who uses only one automatic furnace for everything I need to smelt.
The furnace can process anything, which makes it a better option for an autosmelter.
If you use a smoker and blast furnace for the autosmelter, you'll have to sort the items.
U can just alternate them in a.s
Just make 3 of them, 1 made put of blast furnaces, 1 out of smokers, and 1 out of normal furnaces

All of the items needed for one is accessible in early game and its giving you a smelter that can smelt a stack of items in less than a minute heck you can even make it faster than that by adding more Furnaces and make it bigger all the components i said doesnt change at all it just makes the smelter longer

Yep I eventually replace my furnaces with blasts/smokers. I use a hopper system with one blast furnace with a hopper on top, and another on bottom feeding into a chest from that side, and the same setup on the other side but with a smoker. Not only will my fuel use always be 100% efficient (no wasting fuel time by switching one item for another so long as the items total a multiple of 8), but they automatically store themselves and all I have to do is retrieve them at will.
For xp farms the normal furnance is better, since smoker and the other one only give half xp
Also if you're making a super furnace with it a furnace is better because you can pretty much put anything in there as long as it's cookable/smeltable unlike Blast Furnaces and Smokers
