- Is Steve Stronger in Smash Bros or Minecraft? With the recent update of Minecraft Steve into Super Smash Bros Ultimate, I was wondering how the two compare. Did Sakurai and team buff the new challenger, or did they nerf his true power? That's why today we have an insane experiment to compare steve in Smash Ultimate to steve in Minecraft 1.16 to see which one is truly the better steve. Every piece of armor protects like this

Iron 6% of the damage taken
Diamond 9% of the damage taken
All the armor
Gold 12% damage reduction
Iron 24% damage reduction
Diamond 36% damage reduction
For example you take 10% damage
If you have diamond full armor you only get 6.4% damage and the armor breaks like this
Gold 20 hits each part
Iron 35 hits each part
Diamond 50 hits each part

In Smash Steve's defence, Smash Bros attacks need to deal knockback as well as damage. Like how the lava deals less damage but launches really far.

That’s pretty overpowered
You "forgot" two things:
1. Lifting/carrying. This goes to regular Steve as he is able to carry around thousands of tons of gold around like it's nothing and still jump 1.25 meters and sprint as if he's holding nothing.
2. Resilience goes to Smash Steve because he starts "taking fall damage' at a much higher point compared to Regular Steve. Plus Smash Steve can take more hits from another Smash Steve compared to regular Steve.
Also, netherite blocks are 4 full compacted gold blocks in one, with netherite fragments. Can you imagine how heavy?
Also he forgot that Smash Steve uses 1 diamond to craft his tools, this replaces any wooden, stone, iron and/or gold tools that he already has and I don't know about you but I don't think I can craft all 4 tools (excluding hoes) in 2 seconds with only 1 diamond (even if we are being generous and saying he mined 7 diamonds in one floor swing)
Actually, you should be talking about netherite, 1 block of netherite is equal to 36 gold ingots PLUS extra weight for ancient debris...

if smash steve can take more hits from another smash steve than a regular can from a regular, that doesn't mean that smash steve is more resilient, it might just mean smash steve is weaker than regular steve

You missing it out Skip,
On Bedrock, you can place the block right in front of it without any use of the crouching method like most of your videos in Java.
The reason why Steve was really good build-in Super Smash Bros, Sakurai played the Nintendo Switch of Minecraft which is the Bedrock Edition of the game, so Sakurai giving a credit from the Bedrock Edition.

I love that Steve's hidden inventory in smash just has a full stack of sticks (for both tools and Redstone torches), crafting table, red bed, at least two pistons, four Oak Fence blocks, a fishing rod, 10-odd anvils, a flint & steel and bucket of lava.
That's 16 slots occupied for all that + 4 for the tools + a few more for things like rails and the like.
That's still only about 75% of his Minecraft inventory, which has 36 slots including the hotbar.
Actually 17 or 18, for the Victory Steak screen and how many times he side taunts during battles. Maybe that’s the rest of the inventory lol
Can we just say that Smash Steve can craft all of his tools with a singular diamond/iron/stone/gold? I think Smash Steve won the crafting section.
It's right only for gold and diamonds. To craft iron/stone/wooden sets you need 4 pieces of the material you crafting from.

Hey Skip, Smash Steve can actually obtain MORE than four blocks, he can actually obtain 2 other miscellaneous blocks, ice and wool. You can obtain wool by mining the pink clouds and the weird minions on Magicant. Steve can get ice by mining on Submit.

I feel like this would be a bit fairer to test Steve in bedrock edition because his final smash is actually recorded on Minecraft bedrock edition and not on java edition, I also think the anvil is bogus since in smash the anvil only drops for 1 or 2 blocks while in Minecraft he dropped from the maximum height to deal the most amount of damage
Actually the anvil can drop from basically anywhere including the top of the screen meaning it can fall for about 20 blocks at maximum? Possibly more if you use it in the upper corners.

For crafting, smash Steve crafts a shovel, pickaxe and sword at the same time and the Materials cost the amount of one tool.
Dont craft netherite sword ,fishing rod deals 2x damage and it can deal damage to further enemies and its way cheaper
i think you are wrong with the crafting thing because in minecraft you need 9 diamonds for a full set of tools but in smash, steve is able to make it all with 1 diamond

You forgot that in smash you can kill someone no matter how much percent they have. They don't have a health bar, the percentage just makes them get launched farther.

Dude's got 37 spots in his personal inventory, allowing 37 shulker boxes to be held each with 27 inventory spaces, that's 999 available slots. Gold blocks are one of the heaviest things in MC that take one block's volume of 9 cubic meters. This makes each block weigh 173,880kg. These blocks can each be stacked in groups of 64, weighing 11,128,320g. So now we multiply the weight of each stack by the number of available slots and we get Steve's max carrying weight (that he can carry unencumbered!) Of

Technically Minecraft Steve is Superior in Strength, if you take 36 Shulker Boxes that contain each 27 rows of 64 Blocks of Gold Blocks and Steve is holding within 62,208 Gold Block, which also means that a Gold Block in Minecraft weights about 19.300 kilograms, and multiplying 19.3 to 62,208 Gold Blocks mean that Steve is holding 1,200.6144 Metric Tons, that's enough weight to hold up a 20 Tanks that weight 60 Tons and Steve could initially destroy all of those Tanks whenever he wants to, but however Steve in Smash is the one in Superior at surviving powerful blows like Sephiroth who can call upon Super Nova, and Steve can even keep up against with other Smash Characters who have or could have the potential to dodge light speed lasers, beams and somewhat other faster things, and Smash Steve uses his own arsenal in a faster pace then Minecraft Steve who takes a little while to do things much faster than Dream's Speedruns

Even if it's a bug it still does not matter because if everybody is using it it's also counts as a feature exclusive only to the bedrock edition of minecraft, just like the feature that it is in java edition that makes you crawl on 1x1 spaces with just a trapdoor.

Skip you just said that the swords are bad because they don't do very much damage, but when we come to the magma block and you excuse it(in the Minecraft edition) because it does it's damage is constant while the swords also can do lots of hits fast which you don't say. If you'd rather do a test to see how fast both of them can *kill* a Steve instead of a single hit if would probably be more fair

Also I think crafting in smash bros is definitely better because you only need one diamond to make a sword, shovel, axe, and pick axe while in Minecraft you need 8 diamonds for that

@elanwan I was about to post the exact same reason that smash bros Minecraft was better but then I saw this so my opinion is already out there.
My only issue with this in when calculating damage totals you used percentage which doesn't have a clean translation when you could have set up a stamina battle that actually uses hp
