Andrew Klein, one of the best, coolest, informative, youtubers around. Great video as always Andrew, thank-you for sharing!
Well done! I picked up the large and small fence as well as some 235 magnets. Love supporting local!
As a general rule, almost ALL DIY videos wait until the end to do a "Grand Reveal" and it's a real PITA.
I much prefer to see the finished product first so that I can understand what's being built.
BUT it only takes a second to skip to the end and then restart the video so it's not worth it to complain.
Thanks for showing the finished product first, it makes it much easier to understand what's going on without having to jump around.
(ps. you should use the image at the 5:45 mark for your video thumbnail - it looks terrifying : -)

I agree. I hate the "wait until the end!" style videos, because I don't want to spend 10 minutes watching someone make something I have no interest in.
Always fun to see how you solve problems. Great idea using features of the vice to use as anchor points. And the hanger for the fence is perfect. Thanks for sharing!
Great project Andy! Remember when this was just an idea!
Sad that the sale prices don’t apply in the European shop, but that’s by the by - I really like your solution to the drill press vise holdiing!
Love that hanger for the fence!
Creative way to capture the vice. Vice makers really should put a groove the on sides for tie downs though. Yeah its an extra cost but makes the product easier than having to drill and tap large holes.
That is a toolmaker's vise. All those machined surfaces are reference surfaces, and it's designed to be held in another machining vise.
@@willjosephson You can have reference surfaces while having a lip no less.
Brilliant, Andrew! Fantastic work! 😃
I've never seen a drill press vise like that either!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Heading over with your discount code now. Thanks from Colorado
My goodness, someone on shop video that knows the correct way to use a wrench! 😬
That is some kind of service! I hope you signed it for him so he won't be able to use it! LOL
UPS = United Package Smashers.
What about the pika screw?
Received my smaller Fence, non pro and when magnets engage it goes out of 90 to the table. Checked manual didn't see any adjustments that can be made. Anything i can do to fix the issue?
Email cs@magswitch.com and they will take care of you, replacing it if needed
@@AndrewKleinWW will do. Thank you
👍
Just brainstorming here... but I would have made a new plate, and converted the dynamic jaw into the fixed jaw. (ie fix the jaw to the mag mount.) The rest of the vise would become the new movable jaw.
I’d probably use another magnet.
could work, not the most budget friendly solution
@@AndrewKleinWW I’m mostly joking. 😀 at my welding shop we’d do it your way. Or might drill/tap the base of the vise.
I don’t know if this is feasible with how magswitches work but would it be possible to make essentially a double sided version of the vice base? So you don’t need to mount the vice at all, you just put the vice on the base where you want it, switch it on and the magnets hold down the vice as well as to the table?
Impossible to understand? what? so they couldn't watch the whole video till the end?
