Apologies for the poor audio, this was originally recorded on VHS tape. - Hry
That poor Grandma. At $4.99 a min they kept her on the line just long enough to steal her retirement check.
But just imagine the euphoria when she got to see the end credits and listen to that incredible end credits music. Great way to go at 89.
Seeing Bill O' Reilly having a....neutral stance on video games is quite surreal, do you all agree?
Let's go brandon
Why bring politics here? Just trying to start trouble.
@@CheapJabroni It's called a joke, aspie
Fuc+ it will do it live
I absolutely can't get enough of these classic gaming news broadcasts. Thank you!
All things Nintendo and Sega aside, RIP Luke Perry.
RIP Young Dolph
yup it was all about Nintendo and Sega Genesis nothing else miss those times adults don't realize it kept kids outta trouble
I'm surprised they mentioned TG16. That was not as common when I was growing up. Everything was Sega and Nintendo.
Yup nobody talked about neo geo either it was just Sega Genesis and Nintendo
Very few people had the Neo-Geo because it was $500+ in the early 90s, which is $1,000+ today. Each game was $100+ too. It was cheaper to play the games at the Neo-Geo arcade machines which were all over, and most of the arcade machines held 4 or 6 games you could switch between.
I miss the Sega Genesis and the Nintendo days in the 90s
"Hi 5 dude. Psyche!" Lol. That used to be the word of the time
I'm almost 42. And thanks to your comment, I just learned that it's not spelled "sike".
Man that audio buzz
The homeboys of the planet doing their rapping thing
Thanks for the upload. Always roll my eyes at hearing Bill O'Reilly though.
I know right? I always forget there was a time before people realized what a tool he was.
@@Savannah_Simpson Hell he actually was on my local news TV station back in the 80s. He started out in more innocent places before becoming a propaganda mouth piece for the GOP circa 2010.
Lets Go Brandon!
@@PlanetShlorpian if that's what you consider propaganda i could only imagine what you think of Psaki.. oh wait, that's right, you guys' are unrealistically biased.
whatever happened to climbing trees
i really love these video games a lot
Sonic and Mario one of the best video games of all time and they're both iconic video game characters of all time
Thanks for posting this, John!
I want that Metroid jacket!
Wow, NEC wasn’t mentioned much!
Lol, that little kid's colorful jacket at the beginning is the most early 90's thing I've ever seen...reminds me of trapper keepers.
2:37 I miss the TV show Gamepro😢
Ellen Beth Van Buskirk used to be the one inside of the Sonic mascot costume during the Sega mall tours
1:25 those glasses😂
Gucci
Fuck it will do it live! Lol
Fuck it, I get paid well enough to say nice things about Nintendo!
(10 years later....)
Uh, so Grand Auto Theft is bad for kids!
Marry-Oh? Never heard of him.
Luke Perry: I'd like to be an actor for as long as possible
Woman: please...please stop.
"The graphics are hottt" hahaha
When I was young, I called that hotline probably twice. Once for a Xastlevania game because I couldn't beat the final boss, and for Link's Awakening because I couldn't find the house for that annoying ghost that was following me. Hopefully my parents didn't get charged too much, haha.
See, kids, Bill O'Reilly is an actual Baby Boomer. Born just after the war, in 1949, he cruised through his dumb life yelling at and bullying people shorter than him while being wildly overpaid for his stupid takes. That game counsellor is far smarter than Billo. Great video. Brings me right back.
Yep I can't believe this guy actually said "whatever happened to climbing trees." Him and the media would spew all this nonsense about how dangerous video games were for the kids at the time when in fact climbing trees is actually more dangerous than playing video games.
Simpler times!!
I was 11 at the time. These adults had no idea what was about to happen. The adult-lead society of 1991 was about to be flipped on its head in the coming decades with the internet, social media, and shift of cultural power from adults to youth.
jesus, luke perry forcing himself on that girl at the end...wtf
Girls let you do that if they like you enough.
Wow! I remember being a kid and playing all of these games!
30 years later and I'm still playing these games... 🤣and I STILL haven't beat Super Mario World!
I wonder if I can call Nintendo for some advice? 😂
Barely beat it for the first time a couple months back. Takes a lot of practice and repetition
wow, you are really bad in mario world. lol
@@jmtradacc Not bad, the game has around 90 levels and is just too long for me to finish. There are so many things to do and experience in life that I never had the time to finish this game as I have always wanted to.
But sure, the game has it's frustrating moments as well I suppose. 😆
@@jmtradacc What's even more strange is remembering when this game first came out and playing it at such a young age and having spent so many years experiencing new gaming consoles over the years like the Sega Genesis, SNES, Sega Saturn, Sony Playstation, N64, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Xbox, and so on and then coming back to where it all began again. Abandoning all the others to play this one system like it's brand new again. Coming back to Super Mario World in your 30's and realizing how much has changed over the years and how much less time you have for playing a game like this but making all the time you can like there is none left.😊
I played this game off and on over the last 30 years but have never been completely dedicated to putting a lot of time into it due to the over saturation of modern gaming consoles and new titles that came with them. I am now making as much time as I can for these classic games and am about halfway through this game now. ⭐
"But Rick warns, there's no instant way to beat Mario" - News Segment
Super Mario World Speedrunners in 10 years - "We'll see about that."
We grew up in the best generation, these kids now don’t have a damn clue what they missed out on they think they’re so advanced with their cell phones and TikTok videos That’s nothing compared to being an 80s baby
Mary-O 🙄
No need to your eyes, that’s actually how it’s pronounced
And his brother Loogie
Don't grow up too fast kids.
The 80s and 90s were the new Cool and adults and the news hated it cause they didn't enough attention
Bill O'Reilly , the No Sonic Spin Zone !
F#@! It we will do it live! Mario sonic whatever
what's the game at 0:10 please? looks like a wired fps?
LOL "Nintendo Gameplay Supervisor" Nice Job title! I've been doing that for a long time for free.
This is how they got us
Haha 200 years old!😂
4:21 no instant way to beat mario world huh?
Are you sure this news report is from 1991? It has The Legend Zelda Link To The Past in it.
Hi Patrick, I'm pretty sure this is from 1991. The segment that follows this is a piece on Luke Perry, which Inside Edition has on their own website as having originally aired August in 1991. You can see it here: czcams.com/video/rEVwF7II5GI/video.html
I believe Inside Edition mistakenly added a clip of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past from a video preview/early version of the game supplied by Nintendo or another news agency. It was released in Japan in November 1991. You'll notice the hyphen separating 1991 and 1992 on the title screen? As far as I know that hyphen not appear in the final retail version of the game, a comma separates the 1991 and 1992 in the retail version.
Yeah, all those 200 year old people walking around playing video games.
not a single counselor is using regular NES controllers, every one is using NES Advantage I guess there so used to arcade controllers that they can't adapt to regular controllers...
This would be 1992 considering Link to the Past is shown, not 1991
"Sonic the hedgehog made him forgot about girl, great achievement!" yeah....... your kid turns into a furry
1:03 Bithead1000.
Wish I had that jacket 🤤
4:56 and the first fury was born
Sike 😂
What do you expect kids to do when you do stupid things like ban marry-go-rounds at playgrounds? Of course they're going to play video games.
That's what I said what do they expect when they take away all the playgrounds and fun rides to keep em active
Sonic the hedgehog hog made him forget about girls so he’s a furry
Yeah and Mario made boys think about men, gay obese plumber 🔧
The commentator can't even pronounce Mario right. Ugh!
