I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and CZcamsr who's been to 53 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017. So far, my trips have taken me to Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This trip marked the start of my efforts to make a CZcams full-time job.
After that European trip I went heavily into exploring Asia, visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan (seeing me cover a lot of Far East and Southeast Asia in particular).
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Palestine.
To date, I have not yet been to Australasia or South America. Though I am hoping to visit the latter sometime in 2022, along with a first stop in the Caribbean.
I've travelled to North America just once as a CZcamsr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting both Kenya and Tanzania, before making my way to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai on my way to Lebanon.

This city suffered alot and still suffering, it is the poorest city in all the medeteranian, people are suffering their but they are very strong and willing to live with all the struggles. Tripoli is a very rich with ignored historical places. The government or tourism companies do alot of tourism ads for Beirut, Jubail, Balbaak, Sour.etc.. but they simply ignore tripoli.
In other hand, Tripoli has its own airport, electrical power plant, and a huge pipe lines and petrol filteration, train station, the second largest football studium in the country and the largest decoreted building area for festival and events called “Maraad, all what i mentioned are literally shutdown long time ago for political reasons.

I was born in Canada, but due to some family issues I had the pleasure of living in Tripoli (where my parents are from) for 4 years during my early teen years and it was honestly a beautiful experience. Decided to randomly look for this kind of video and it’s so heartwarming seeing you visit all the different places that I got to see as a young kid, can’t wait to go back for a visit someday. Thank you for sharing this with us.

as a lebanese from the north:
1- yupp drivers always offer coffee from sideway kiosks
2- the going back in time bit: i think we are still stuck in the 2000s in comparison to how much other countries have advanced
3- Akra: number one destination for a traditional breakfast when in Tripoli, the setting is not some concept the architect came up with, the owners of these centuries old buildings have thankfully kept the main architecture
4- I don't agree on the water bit...
5- gotta admit that church is news to me! thank you Alaa!
    6- YAAAASSS KHARNOUB!
7- the red thing on halawet eljebn is actually sour lemon petals jam, a traditional addition to Lebanese desserts
this was a really good video, u got to show the best of the city! it is always nice to see Tripoli from the perspective of a foreigner, and am glad u had a good tour

I am from Aleppo Syria. Never been to Tripoli despite visiting Lebanon several time. When i met some brothers from Tripoli, in fact they were Australians, i was instantly in love❤️. I said wow, they look like us and they speak like us in Aleppo. Manly, similar accent despite being obviously Lebanese, similar persona, friendly😍 etc etc. Now it is first time i see Tripoli in a video and it reminds me with one place only. Old Aleppo. We love you Tripoli of the East.(And the west one in Libya too❤️).
Tripoli was a major city under islamic administration in middle ages with massive library second only to the one in Baghdad. It was the fourth major city to fall to crusaders after Edessa, Antioch, and Jerusalem. All those four cities became the administrative centres of the crusadic kingdoms in the Levant.

Reason why Tripoli is not so much talked about, or, in other words on the map is because for the past thirty years, it’s been demonized by political party’s like Hezb and Gebran Bassil’s current movement. Who not only demonized Tripoli but the greater Sunni population of Lebanon as a whole. This is a fact and if you look back you will see the evidence of this, the Syrian civil war also played a major role due to the Sunni Aliawite hatred towards one another. Which sadly played out in the city with constant gun battles between Sunni “Bab el Tabbaneh” and Aliawite “Jabel Mohsen”. I hope more and more people like yourself Jason keep visiting Tripoli and making it out to be known, it’s one of the most beautiful and enchanting cities in the whole Middle East.

How interesting to see Tripoli. Alaa took you to wonderful places to see; an excellent guide. I don't think you may know that the US Marine Corp's song reads "from the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli." The city is an historical one but the mixture of old and modern would be a welcoming place for tourists. Thanks for this beautiful video.

I think the Marine's song was referring to the African Tripoli in Libya though, not the one in Lebanon (There are two). Just googled it out of curiosity. It refers to the First Barbary War, and specifically the Battle of Derne in 1805. The four North African states were known collectively as the Barbary.
