Before and after video of installing a soundtube on my inlet pipe. Not bad for $25 lol. Second video is just at night with my phone on the passenger seat.
This is pretty much what toyota did with the scion frs. It has a tube connected to the air intake tube that went to the cabin for enhanced engine noise. Only in the interior but externally car was quiet
100% makes it louder the factory airbox and intake pipe is designed to muffler intake noise getting rid of all this and putting a full cai and stainless intake pipe in makes it much more noticeable a 87mm pulley will take it even further
instead of tape tho i recommend using a thin clear plastic screen to go over the tube hole instead of the tape the tape will trap some of the noise because of the material and thickness
Weld the noise ports in the sc if you really want to get some noise. It’s not as easy as tape though. Just for noise, no power gain from welding the ports on the sc. it also has to be removed from the engine.
I did this with my 700hp supra as a joke for passengers and the induction noise was so loud in cabin cause I had an anti surge compressor housing so the whistle was deafening. But the noises were quite fun to listen to.They do this with new cars to make it sporty sounding to driver but outside is quiet enough to pass the DB for a road vehicle
Why? It’s right up there with ghost cams, crackle tune’s and drilling your exhaust 🤭 $15 worth of mild steel pipe and a decent air filter would make all the difference and not just a hot air intake and pod!
Listen we are humans everyone likes different things, some may like the sound over a mod making additional power and silence, some may like th exhaust note, the supercharger silent, just saying to be different to one another is what it means to be human so what u think is irrelevant to anyone else’s opinion period( THINGS THEY CALL TURBO MUFFLERS THAT SOUND LIKE A CAN RATTLING AROUND AT DECELERATION SOUNDS LIKE VOMIT TO ME BUT SO MANY HAVE THEM)unfortunately some car enthusiasts……I wouldn’t call a lot of them cause they must be very young and not understand or truly appreciate the sound of power is heaven to real enthusiasts ears

Remarkable..... Most people would probably rather a cold air intake which does believe it or not make the whine louder
Yes it does make a whine louder

Tacho not working a good dash slap will fix that
thanks dude made mine start working
Hahaha every single VS ever. Mine does the same thing

I was looking for someone who has done this to their commy, where did you put the start of of the piping??
so all you put was a plastic tube that was not connected to anything?
You can buy a insert from the USofA to block the "Noise reduction ports" from within the m90
Ours is stock and it whines plenty when I step on the gas
🤣🤣🤣 hose from engine bay into cabin 🤣🤣🤣 No Ragrets... ROFL

That’s way to loud maybe take that pipe out and put a cold air intake on it
This is the dumbest idea ever!
Agreed!
Why, begs the question.
Huh? That’s like saying an exhaust upgrade for sound is dumbest ever
