I have created my Wix website and published it. I'm not sure why, but my photo images are not displaying full view - they are cropped. I tried resizing and re-uploading my photos, but that didn't correct the problem. I am not that computer literate, so I'm not sure what else to do to solve this problem. Your expert advise would be greatly appreciated.
Santrel Media so I’m making my blog with wix and I’m stuck on the whole SEO/upgrades etc. and my question is why would I pay yearly for wix which includes a domain and also pay yearly for an outside sourced domain instead of just using the wix domain? I’m not understanding...hope I don’t sound dumb😂
@@taylorb8523 Listen back to his explanation which makes perfect sense - (If Im giving incorrect information here someone please advise me as it is from back in my days working on websites & domain names. First, the Domain name is not included in the FREE version. You will get some numbers etc. in the URL vs having something specific that Google can be able to search eventually and optimize & rank for positioning. Also, if you get the free version (with no domain name incl) for the first year and let's say your website kills it and is very successful, in your second year when you decide to upgrade your site and buy from Wix, Wix will increase the price of your Domain name knowing that you are successful. So basically you will pay more once they know what you can do. Lastly, Wix will own your domain name, not you, so you may be stuck there if you do well or have a great domain name. Whereas, if you buy a domain name at GO Daddy or one of the other places, that domain name is yours and you can take it anywhere. Here are some places to go to where you can find his information on this in the video: 11:15 - "Why Not Choose Wix Domain?" / 11:52 - "Paying whatever price Wix decides for your domain after 1 year and they own it" Hope this helps!

Your video is very helpful so far - One thing you might want to mention is that if you accidentally start out in ADI and want to go to Editor as you recommend, you don't have to start over. There is a feature that will change the ADI website into editor one.
Would be helpful to say what is that 'feature'!! ...Until this tutorial, I didn't know there was a difference between ADI and Editor ---- and will now look for how to change to editor.

Hey Aurora, you can slow down the playback speed on any youtube video by clicking on the gear icon in the video frame (bottom right corner), change the playback speed to be slower or faster. Hope this helps you in the future and good luck building your site 😊
I felt so overwhelmed when opening wix, so I instantly ran to CZcams to watch videos... this one in particular is so helpful! Thanks for this. I've had websites before but not WIX. 1. Just started a blog and wanted to understand the dif between Section and Page. The drop down for Add choices are either Section to Page OR Page. I did choose that I was creating a blog. After watching your tutorial I am thinking that what I want is a new page because it is a separate entry and will be a different topic than the first entry. 2. The recommendation was to have topics/categories. I'm hoping I'll figure out where to list those when I go back to the add the new "page" (entry) and look around for where to list those. It took me a couple of weeks to decide what they should be!

After watching the segment about connecting the domain name from Square Space to Wix about 5 times, I found it pretty much useless because I can't follow, or even find the cursor most of the time, so I have no Idea where you're clicking. I would suggest a larger and much more visible cursor as well as highlighting the "click on" area of the screen. You're back and forth so quickly between Wix and Square Space, that I can't figure out what you're actually doing or where you're doing it.

I tried using the ADI but then it got stuck in the process and made me change to using the editor instead. Thanks for this tutorial, it really helped me in creating mine.
One thing you might want to mention is that if you bought your domain name with vista print you cannot change the DNS server name yourself. But you can call Digital Services customer service and they will do it for you.
I followed your advice and bought my web domaine from Square Space with the intent of simply transferring the domain name to Wix, and off we go, right??? Ah not so much. I didn't quite catch you or anyone else telling me that there's a 60 day lock on the domain name before it can be transferred. Since I haven't quite grasped the subtlties between transferring a domain name and "pointing" a domain name yet (but soon will, I'm guessing) I'd suggest that you at least mention this when you recommend not buying your domain name and web hosting at the same place. Just a thought.

How does one add word documents or pdfs, spreadsheet or connect a calendar? This is for showing my weekly schedule or monthly schedule of available hours in some sort of calendar like shape. I tried using the ADI but then it got stuck in the process and made me change to using the editor instead. Thanks for this tutorial, it really helped me in creating mine.
One thing you might want to mention is that if you bought your domain name with vista print you cannot change the DNS server name yourself. But you can call Digital Services customer service and they will do it for you.
I followed your advice and bought my web domaine from Square Space with the intent of simply transferring the domain name to Wix, and off we go, right??? Ah not so much. I didn't quite catch you or anyone else telling me that there's a 60 day lock on the domain name before it can be transferred. Since I haven't quite grasped the subtlties between transferring a domain name and "pointing" a domain name yet (but soon will, I'm guessing) I'd suggest that you at least mention this when you recommend not buying your domain name and web hosting at the same place. Just a thought.
