Best tutorial video I have seen! There was only 1 comment I didn't understand....Can you elaborate on the time index 8:31 comment and explain why you would never want to do (something you're explaining -- not sure what) and elaborate on the choice you're having to make.) Thank you!
Sure! Looking back, I really didn’t explain that well!
The choice is between getting rid of a card in hand or one that you’ve already played. Given that taking the action to get your cards back to your hand is usually a pretty inefficient turn, it’s generally better to trash a card that you’ve already played, so you’re not costing yourself an option next turn.

Spirit Island has been on my Round Tuwit list for sometime. Every few months I convince myself I would get it to the table and wouldn’t mess up too much even in solo. Then I watch videos like this and my hopes are dashed like The Hesperus.
That was very clear and concise and now I need a Motrin.
Maybe try Horizons of Spirit Island? It’s the sort of entry level version. Less set up, and only low complexity spirits. But it’s less expensive, so if you don’t get it to the table, it’s less of an investment!
But also, I bet you’d be fine. It’s kind of hard to learn, but once you get it, it clicks pretty well.
@@thegrouchynerd I’ve seen a couple of reviews. Baby’s first vengeful god apocalypse. You don’t terrorize the colonists but they can become mildly dyspeptic. If I must pile more onto the pile of shame let it be the OG.

It's the rules for a solo player, which is pretty much the same as multi-player. But it does not include an actual playthrough.
