This is an update on what has been happening over the last few days since I discovered a tear on my LV Palm Springs Mini 😭
Hopefully my experience with LV Repairs Service will help those going through a similar situation.

Omg, i feel you dear Flo! I was also wondering how did the tear happen, but I'm positive it will come out much better than before when you send it for repair. The pattern will also be aligned. You can easily forget what happened if you send to LV early. The earlier, the better. Thank you for sharing your experience my friend! Soo excited to see the result sooner! Have a great new week! 💕
Thanks dear MC! As upsetting as it was, I’m hoping for the best outcome. The bag is with them now and I’ve emailed again this morning to see about the possibility of them changing to the updated design so the zip isn’t covered by a flap. If they can then I will be overjoyed! But if they can’t, then hopefully they can at least get the pattern alignment better. We’ll see…🙏🏻 Thanks for watching and hope you have a wonderful week! 🥰💝🍹💐

Yes the process has been very quick and efficient so far and they’ve now confirmed receipt of the bag so we’ll see. Praying for the best outcome! 🙏🏻💕💕
I'm so sorry to hear about this tear on your little cute LV Palm Springs. If it's a known defect Repair Service definitely should waive any charges. I hope they realise that and your favourite comes back even better with monogram lined up in no time xx please keep us updated
Thanks Marie. Unfortunately they disagreed it was a known defect so cannot repair for free. However, the silver lining is that they will update to the new construction where the zip will not be covered by a flap. So that’s a small win! 🙌🙌 Thanks for watching hun! xx

I went through the situation with the cracking of glazing, but LV did reglazing for free! Have a fabulous day and please do not worry, LV should worry. ❤

Yes I’m praying for the best outcome! They’ve confirmed receipt of the bag now so it’s up to them how they will go about it. I did email again this morning to see if they will repair for free, but even if they can’t, to at least update the design to the new version so the zip is not covered by a flap. Hi Lynnette, yes I was quite upset about it but praise God for making something good out of a bad situation. Even though LV can’t repair for free, they will update the bag to the new construction so I will pretty much have a brand new bag! There’s always a silver lining 🙌🙌🌈 TFW!
Mine did the exact same thing! Bought mine new in 2017, sent to repair in 2019 for the lining tearing from the zipper. The zipper was so tight and hard to get into so I rarely used it. Brought it on a trip last month and that canvas cracked in the same spot as yours from the zipper scraping. Did the whole thing on the app and they asked for me to send it in. Today they called and said it’s a free repair and basically they turn it into the way the new model zipper is. I agreed to it. Now I wait.
Wow you got the repair for free! I have to pay as they insisted it was not a known defect 🤔 They’ve just told me they’re still waiting for parts to be delivered before they can complete the repair. It’s been 4 months now…sigh! Thanks for watching and also sharing your experience with me. 🌸
@@FloInTheCity you need to call them back. It’s totally a known problem. Some have even turned them back for store credit. I would have bought the same thing again but honestly I feel the older canvas is better so I’m happy it can be made into the “new model”

I know right! I recently noticed a nick on the canvas of my Noe pouch too but thankfully I was able to fix that. The quality of their canvas is just not the same anymore. I sent in my preloved Vavin PM for repair about 3 months ago. My service experience was way worse than yours so far (and I still didn’t get my bag back 😅). But when I called to ask about it a few days ago, they told me, the price for the repair went down from 500€ to 50€ (good to hear that, cause they never even quoted the 500€ to me beforehand, I was still waiting for an info on the price point for the repair 😂)
Well at least that seems like it was worth the wait if they can do it for just 50€! But they should have kept you informed though instead of you having to chase. My bag arrived at their atelier this morning and I’ve emailed them to see if they can update the repair to the new design (without the flap covering the zip) so we’ll see…I’m trying to not think too much 😅 Thanks for watching and for your advice! 🙏🏻💕💕

I’m glad they will be replacing the entire panel for you. I wonder if they will change it to the new construction. You should ask if that can be done so you don’t have to worry about the gusset anymore! And I really hope they deem it defective and cover the cost. Even if they don’t I think you made the right decision sending her in. 🤎🤎🤎
