    Can you do a video on how to walk up and down stairs correctly?
    Sounds elementary, but it’d be great to hear your opinion. I think a lot of people would find value in this. I have to use stairs daily, and although I don’t have pain or anything, sometimes I wonder if over time, years, thousands of repetitions of poor form using the stairs can cause damage.

    A year ago I was having very bad arthritis in my right knee. I think it was due to going on the keto diet and eating too much raw spinach and almond flour. They have oxalates and were causing the arthritis to flare up. So I couldn't really do any exercises without aggravating it. In August or September I switched to the Carnivore Diet, stopped eating plants and my knee arthritis went completely away and now I can work out without any pain in my knee. So there seems to be a dietary reason we have weak or arthritic joints.

    • @TheKneesovertoesguy
      @TheKneesovertoesguy  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Similar to this video: the actual sprinting - without pain - would be king. Gradual adaptation over time. And strategically getting strong in the ATG movements that relate to speed. So yep: calf, quad, hip extension… plus hip flexors and knee flexors.

    Hey Ben or Atg team. I've been having knee pain on the outer side when kneeling down and strong pain on leg curls also on the outer side. Idk if it's linked to each other. I'm also really bad at wrestling shots, banging my knee on the ground a lot, so I've been avoiding it for quite some time. I'd like to train leg curls though, and be able to suck at wrestling shots without having to take 30 seconds for the pain to subside. Any help is appreciated!

      Thanks for reaching out and would love to help you get this sorted out! My number 1 tool for the knee is knee flossing. Recently made a video on this and find this can be a great start: czcams.com/video/9k5OLqRzCbw/video.htmlsi=iV0ErE7lpv8kTtE2
      I also have found this knee route here has helped thousands of people dealing with similar knee concerns: www.atgonlinecoaching.com/articles/knee-ability-zero-basics-pro
      Always hope here🫡

    Florida?? Why did I think you were based in California? I had been worried about you and your fam with the way things are going in California. Don't have to do that anymore. Not that Florida is exactly the apex of safety and serenity. 😄
    Thanks as always. ✌🏼

      Probably that squat university guy. He’s super autistic and if u notice his videos he tries to say don’t strengthen the vmo blah blah blah. Which is Ben specifically says “don’t argue about what exercise is the best” or what muscle is the best. These other CZcamsrs get very weird about being “knowledgeable”

      Sort of two poles- functional patterns, who have attacked “isolation” work, and mainstream lifters, who rarely make explicit concessions to attacking the pain that is caused by loss of strength in full range of motion (their training is purely about power output and replicating jumping, so they scratch their head at the thought of weak links, deceleration, and deeper ranges.)

      I think of it like this. Where are you now? Could you improve? And not just for jumping. Anything in life. I think it’s beautiful that we can improve, that we can do better in life than if we didn’t try. Don’t judge yourself. Learn to validate yourself for trying and for any progress. 🙏
