    So, if you’re not an elite, popular, attractive, smart, sporty type person who was involved in student government and all that, you’re not getting enrolled into ROTC let alone getting a scholarship. Those are the only type of people colleges accept

    Hi, I applied for the first board in October this year and was awarded the Ike Skelton Scholarhsip for the Army ROTC early commissioning program. I have been watching some of your videos for what the ROTC life will be like. Thanks for the help!

    Hi, love the videos they're a great help. Just one question on when I should apply for the program. I'm an incoming senior so should I apply now in the summer, or should I wait until after my senior year is over and I graduated?

    Hi! Thank you so much for this video!! I have a few questions 🙏
    1. Do you know what the minimum requirements for the physical test are?
    2. Who can administer the physical test?
    3. Does having no previous JROTC or boys/girls scout experience cause a disadvantage in the application?
    4. Does having only one varsity sports team experience cause a disadvantage against those who have committed to three+@ varsity teams?
    5. AFROTC has highly desired majors - does army ROTC also have highly desired majors?

      1. rotcconsulting.com/rotc-fitness-tests/ this link says the max and mins!
      2. I think any adult can. I recommend a teacher, coach or PE teacher.
      3. It shouldn’t give you a disadvantage as long as you were involved in other activities like sports, clubs and volunteer work.
      4. It shouldn’t be a disagreement but I would say multiple sports does look better on an application because it shows adaptability
      5. Army does also have technical vs non technical majors. They aren’t a as stem based as navy or airforce.

    Your videos are super helpful I’m applying for the rotc scholarship in October this year! Do you have any tips for working on pushups and the correct form I’m a varsity athlete so I have a lot experience with working out but I struggle with push-ups so I would definently appreciate an tips.

    • @charlottepenberthy5260
      @charlottepenberthy5260  Před 2 lety +1

      Happy to help! Push-ups definitely take practice. Start doing like 3 sets of 20-30 reps everyday and you’ll definitely improve. For form touch your chin to the ground and if you don’t then don’t count that rep. You got this!

    Hello! Thanks for the video it’s really helpful😁One question: what is the minimum PFA score? I can see the max but no min. I’m worried about the pushups…can do about 23 max rn, not sure if it’s enough :(

    • @charlottepenberthy5260
      @charlottepenberthy5260  Před 2 lety

      Hi! So if you pause it just at the right time you can see the bottom scores. You’re goal should be to at the very least score 35/50 points on each event to have a competitive application in my opinion. That number for push ups would be 28 I believe. But you can get there I know it! Just keep practicing!!

    • @lindabrown436

      Great thanks! Now i’m up to 25… i know I can get there with more practice!😁I appreciate it

    Hi! I have a question about the fitness exam. I was wondering what kind of link was sent to the instructor that conducted the exam? Because if its the Cadet Command Form 145-1-1 then I already have that and there would be no need to send the link. Thanks!

    Are you allowed to rest in between each PFA event? If so, how long? I apologize for all the questions, as there doesn’t seem to be much information available regarding this.

      Hi! You will apply at the very beginning of your SENIOR year in high school for the ROTC scholarship. It is a separate application from any college one. You can join ROTC in college at any point if you don't want a scholarship but having your tuition and fees paid for is super nice although you must serve in the military afterwards.

      No you can’t. No electronics are allowed. You can have the instructor yell out the time as you pass through the finish line each lap if you want.

    During my freshman year I only got a 2.8 and a 3.0 for both semesters and during this year I only got a 3.57 in my first semester and this semester I currently have a 3.8 and I was wondering how low are my chances of getting selected when I apply?

      If I do track in my junior year would that make up for it? It would be quite time consuming since I already am taking 7 classes with an honors and ap but I'd like to know if that would be worth it to boost my chances of getting into nrotc?
