- Parliament once again descended into chaos as members debated the President's State of the Nation Address Tuesday. President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his SONA last Thursday. Those proceedings were disrupted by the EFF's demands for former President FW De Klerk to leave the House for his comments on apartheid.
De Klerk's remarks caused an international uproar with some calling for his Noble Peace Prize to be revoked. Although he's apologised and withdrawn his statements, many have rejected his pardon. To discuss this and other political developments in the country, we're joined by political analyst, Aubrey Matshiqi.

This man made so much sense and spoke so intelligently I wanted to get inside my TV and give him a hug!
Maybe it's the spirit living within him.
He is definitely the real deal, pure African wisdom and intelligence.
Thats me i like his articulation and being calm...
How about the part where he said jf some municipalities are able to generate electricity ( and therefore helping the national grid to cope) it will re enforce in equality ?
THat must be about the most bizarre statement I have ever heard .
Positive Imaging Company did he not say that if they can procure energy from independent suppliers that can? Obviously these two are not the same. Generation and procurement are quite different and are differentiated by access to financial resources and inevitably deepen inequality as gogo Matshiqi correctly argues.
@@sivanlakhet401 THe whole country has got a gigantic problem - shortage of electricity - it effects everybody. So how can ANY attempt to be less dependant on the existing, overloaded grid, and thereby reducing the pressure on it, be NOT of benefit to ALL ??
"We are lions being led by donkeys", I like that gogo😂😂
This man is on another level of understanding, he is smart, I honestly out of many Analysts he is the best in a global scale.
Whenever our leaders (African Govts) find a pot of gold under their bed, they look for the first white man that they can give the pot of gold to - Aubrey Matshiqi
I felt that 😭😭😭
Pakaipa shasha!!!!!
Munyaradzi Jani Mental slavery and self hatred is real
aparthid, colonialism ,and white slavery upon africans has done all this damage to the black self esteeem ..they now hate themselves .
Now this is amazing analysis. SABC please give Mr Matshiqi more time.
I do concur with you Aya.
I can listen to gogo all day ...
Yes it is very entertaining to hear an old and wise-looking man talk such nonsense.
Ugogo is obviously radical but his arguments are polished
Ugogo is so on point
This by far is the most thought-provoking and illuminating analysis of the current politics we are faced with in this country. Gogo Aubrey's analysis is very much well-rounded, scholarly speaking. He moves from delineating economic matters, to philosophy and political thought - a theoretical framework that he masters very well. He is well grounded theoretically in analysis.
This man smart he knows a thing or two💯
Ever since this old man became iGqirha, he speaks sooo much sense.. i'm his fan
On point 👌🏽
All round sober analysis, got stuck for some time @ 16:15 Pure Truth 🤷🏾♂️
Thank you SABC sweet bringing ubaba thank you
Preach!
U can't give him a platiform and don't create two part of it i could listen to him all day.
De Klerk hasn’t apologised, its his Foundation that came with a half-baked apology. Even if he did apologise, he it would not be coming from his heart. How can you say what he said, after 25 years?
I like ugogo's point of DA. They truly avoided the debate on De Klerk
On point, this is the same way 'black people get treated in Britain, when it comes to 'racism '. We are less than human so we need to be told what 'racism 'is.

This man is bold I like him, FIRE the President ANC please.
Municipalities to procure power independently? 🤦🏽♂️ Why don't we just further deepen the disparities and inequality.
great woman
He is not a woman my brother
😂😂😂
oduma kenneth you are ignorant
Teacher s pat
What kind of "traditional" dress is he wearing, I do not recognize it, seems to be west African?
It's a healers gear. Like a coat for doctors or engineers, policeman etc.
He forgot his red T-shirt
@@thamimaknyiwemhlanga8312 What can I say tribe and from what area, nothing like I have seen in SA.
@@positiveimagingcompany4515 Just a lot of words strung together, ifs, cans and buts, could be, should be etc. Anyone can cover all scenarios like this, not rocket science. None of it can, nor will it ever, help the situation or economy and well being of citizens. Solution get rid of anc and let the DA run the country.
@@davethorstry6700 The DA had its chance to prove to SAns that it could be a party of all, but failed dismally. But there are new party's that will unseat anc and bring hope for the disenfranchised. The DA is a failed party and will soon fizzle out,My point will be proven in the next election.
There is non whatsoever inquisitive and critical questioning ...just sucking up. Why you might ask?
Calling Gordhan and Mboweni servants of capital / investment? How re you going to create jobs?
Anc is sell out
Maybe the presenters and guests of Morning Live should be issued red T-shirts.
So if any municipality manages to solve the energy crisis by using less or even no electricity from the national grid - it will re - enforce of inequality.??
HE is right - because if the whole country sits in the dark - we are all equally in trouble.
Also since when is "conservative " right wing ? I always thought "conservative" is centre .
What kind of qualification is required to become a Political analyst ?
You refering concepts used by the National Party and the opposition parties during apartheid. That era has destroyed the meaning of many concepts in SA. You most probably are still interpreting terrorism, patriotism, socialism and communism in a similar way. Know that you are lost, we grew up debating about this things, we understand him well.
@@musajohannessithole8970 Brainwashing always creates some kind of special code - but it never makes any sense.
This kind of commentary is quite shocking. Who is this commentator to attack the finance minister who is one of the few sane politicians that SA has. This is ridiculous. He sympathises with the EFF rabble. SA is in a nose dive and he seems to want to perpetuate the madness that got SA to this point.
Did you not like the part where he said that "right wing" is "conservative" I suppose from where he is standing everything short of total state control is "right wing"
I am in agreement with gogo.
You can not have a minister of Finance who has his own ideas that are not in line with the policies of the same government he works for. I completely understand Gogo about that issue. It has been seen over time that the finance minister tends to say things that are totally opposite towards the cabinet is saying.
