  • Parliament once again descended into chaos as members debated the President's State of the Nation Address Tuesday. President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his SONA last Thursday. Those proceedings were disrupted by the EFF's demands for former President FW De Klerk to leave the House for his comments on apartheid.
De Klerk's remarks caused an international uproar with some calling for his Noble Peace Prize to be revoked. Although he's apologised and withdrawn his statements, many have rejected his pardon. To discuss this and other political developments in the country, we're joined by political analyst, Aubrey Matshiqi.

Positive Imaging Company did he not say that if they can procure energy from independent suppliers that can? Obviously these two are not the same. Generation and procurement are quite different and are differentiated by access to financial resources and inevitably deepen inequality as gogo Matshiqi correctly argues.

This by far is the most thought-provoking and illuminating analysis of the current politics we are faced with in this country. Gogo Aubrey's analysis is very much well-rounded, scholarly speaking. He moves from delineating economic matters, to philosophy and political thought - a theoretical framework that he masters very well. He is well grounded theoretically in analysis.

You can not have a minister of Finance who has his own ideas that are not in line with the policies of the same government he works for. I completely understand Gogo about that issue. It has been seen over time that the finance minister tends to say things that are totally opposite towards the cabinet is saying.
