- On Tuesday, June 26th, 2012, thirty filmmakers spread throughout Yosemite National Park to document the people who visit and work there. Hikers, horses and hang gliders, as well as painters, climbers and cooks helped create this unique portrait of One Day in Yosemite. For an audio described version of this video, go to • One Day in Yosemite - ... .
I've traveled to at least 30 different countries. Lived in a couple of them. Still, my favorite place on earth is Yosemite Valley. Been there at least 20 times, during all seasons, and always borders on a spiritual experience. The US National Park system was one of the best ideas we ever had.
This place is so beautiful, it makes me cry.
YESSSS
It's an honor to have my first Yosemite hang gliding flight featured in such a great film. Glacier Point had been on my wish list for almost 20 years, and this was the perfect project to incite me!
It blew me away! Probably the closest you could ever come to being an eagle in the garden of eden.
@@mitchspurlock3626 time to learn how to hang glide... it's the ultimate expression of freedom!
The different levels of emotion portrayed in this video are phenomenal. Thanks for sharing.
Been going to Yosemite since 1976 primarily for the hang gliding but also for the rafting, hiking and treks to the back country. Awesome video. THANKS to everyone involved.
What a wonderful video of the most beautiful place on Earth. I love Yosemite!
Maybe one day... God it's beautiful!
one of the best videos of a nat. park ever . last september i was in seqoia park. this september i'm going to Yosemite park :-). greetings from holland. the U.S.A is beautiful.
Truly remarkable place... It was THE best thing about living in Fresno. Always went up just get out of the fog.. I truly miss Yosemite!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for this program!!!!!!!!!1
A cinematic masterpiece of Yosemite National Forrest! I visited Yosemite last year with my girlfriend and camped in Tuolumne Meadows Campground. As a professional photographer and armature film maker, this film is the best I've seen of Yosemite, It inspires me to go back.
The best video of Yosemite I've seen. I was there camping in July 2012 in Tuolumne Meadows camp ground. I stayed for a week. No where close enough time to see all the park. as a photographer I was in heaven! I am going back in May when all the falls are in full run off. I will be motor cycle camping this time.
It's been a decade since I was there...can't wait for our next visit. Great video!
Yosemite is a beautiful place. The people make it even better. Thank you for showing me yet again, why I love Yosemite so much. For me it is a spiritual place. I must go back again and again.
Steve Bumgardner's Yosemite Nature Notes always impresses with with two things: the magnificent beauty of Yosemite and the artistic touch in which mister Bumgardner captures how people interact within that beauty.
No place like Yosemite on Earth. Wife and I trekked around Yosemite for a few days and it will always be one of my most cherished memories.
One of the most beautiful and exciting places that I have ever been on Earth. The video brings back such wonderful memories of an experience that words can not describe. Thank you.
I have been to sequoia as a kid and seen the redwoods along PCH but never quite made it up to Yosemite. Utterly heartbreaking. I actually cried from this. Heaven on earth or close to it.
I been Yosemite park so many times and every time I go there there always something new to see.
As a 50 yr old Tennessee photographer with a "bucket list" of doing Half Dome I found this "day in the life of Yosemite" to be inspiring and informational. Kudos to the talented 30 videographers and support staff/editors for a job well done. Your passion and love of Mother Earth shown through beautifully. Ansel would be most proud :)
did you ever make your way up to half dome bruce?
we had one day in Yosemite whilst on our California road trip and just wasn't enough we were totally balled over on how beautiful Yosemite is, so we plan a full week there next year for hiking, swimming etc! And I cannot wait absolutely love it there though I did get major allergies lol I will take a course of hay fever tablets in the run up.
Fantastic movie! Thank you for providing us with one day in the life of Yosemite!
Two thumbs up for including the hang gliding footage. Glacier Point has been flown since the 1970s and is a spectacular ride!!
Decades ago a pilot and 2 passengers launched from Half Dome, the passengers parachuted from the glider!!! All ended well except for them being arrested for the illegal stunt!!
This was a fabulous video. The amazing mountains and valleys and people so passionately to visit. It seems instinct within our soul that we are driven to visit and have an adventure for ourselves. What is so discovery, is that we find out the Creation we see, is bigger than we thought; and so true it is. I read in Psalm 19 that what we see in Yosemite is the work of His Fingers.
Very nice Steve! How lucky us hang glider pilots are to be able to be part of something so special [the film and the park!]
Thank you for another great video capturing the spirit of Yosemite.
It's been many years since I went hang gliding off Glacier Point, so it was nice to watch this and relive my flight there!
I would go just to see the stars. They always take my breath away. And what she said about the trees....what a beautiful place.
Phenomenal production. I felt as thorough I was backed on the summit of half dome. Bravo!
there was something very beautiful about the father and son climbing at the end :)
This is the best video about Yosemite we have ever seen - wow - thank you very much! - Please do more like this one!
Dear Yosemite NP team! I've been binge watching your videos. I had no idea that you have your own CZcams channel. These videos leave me with a mixed bag of feelings: at first goosebumps while watching. next, on the one hand gratefulness to have been able to experience this place about 7,5 years ago. On the other hand some sadness that I won't be able to return anytime soon (my guess is in 4 years at the earliest when I hopefully can pay for the travel over from Europe for my whole family). Then there is the joy if the fond memories I have from my visit and the pleasant anticipation that I hopefully can and will return. Thank your for your work and sharing the experience online!
my parents took the family many times. Yosemite is my fav. place, i remember the firefalls, we stayed in cabins along the river at the base. i am now 56 yrs. I would love to bring my husband and spend lots of time to see everything. maybe someday soon.

beauty at its best
Thanks!
This production refers to the Ahwahnee Hotel and must predate the trademark dispute between the Park Service and Delaware North over names in the park. The hotel is now the Majestic, and most other commercial operations in the park have been forced to change their names.
this is my absolute favorite place in the world. i can never wait to go back and i hate leaving. I love california
but when it comes to taxes?
@discorperted Yosemite IS in California. You gotta give Cali credit for having such awesome places. The largest trees, the tallest, and the oldest trees are all located here (in CA, not Yosemite specifically). Also, the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states, the ocean, geographic diversity, we have it all!
Your state?
@discorperted So how come you don't live there anymore/like CA when you know firsthand how good the weather is? That's the main reason my family still lives in CA because other states are boring, esp in the East/Midwest. How is it a private park when it's so crowded sometimes?
Beautiful California
좋은 작품.. 감사합니다 ^^
Wow. Wouldn't mind visiting there.
