For most Germans, Flensburg has the significance of keeping a points register for drivers. If you drive too fast or run red lights etc. you get points in Flensburg. If you have too many points, you lose your driver's license.
ps. Flensburg seems to have a problem with graffiti.

A "fun fact", but one that has a sad reason.
The colour of the light in the public toilet was carefully chosen. In this light, the veins are harder to see. This is to discourage the junkies from injecting drugs there. In the next few days there will even be T-shirt weather in the north ;-)

love Flensburg...i used to live in hannover back in '96 (placement from uni) and have a mate from hohenwestedt and we went out for a night out in flensburg... fell in love with the place, and spent a week (5 years ago) travelling which involved going to hannover and flensburg...
will watch your hannover video next :)

Northernmost city in Germany, on the border to Denmark. You can do great excursions on both sides, by land and sea.

Do you know that in one item Flensburg is very unpopuluar under cardrivers. If you drive too fast, cross a lightning at red and other things like that you will be punished with a money penalty on the one hand and so called points. According to your misdemeamor they rise. Your driving licens will be blocked for several month.
