driving both MT and AT and I can say na mas tipid talaga pag naka N sa mga traffic lights. Though hindi ko pinababayaan ang kotse sa stand still traffic kasi nakapress padin ako sa brakes. One more thing, pag stand still ang traffic tapos naka engage ka sa D nappwersa yung brake pads sa gulong kaya mas magandang mag N pag stand still and release then press brakes agad para ma-relieve yung gulong and brake pads sa tension. 👌🏼 Napanood ko din sa isang vlog na kapag more than 20 seconds pa ang traffic light saka ka lang mag shift to N but pag malapit nadin naman mag green or mag GO, pwede na brakes lang konti sabay andar na and no need to shift to N gear. 👍🏼
Agree ako dito pagdating sa traffic light at AT ang gamit mong car. Pag 30 seconds or less lang naman, kahit naka D lang is ok na. Alalay brakes na lang. Pero pag more than 30 seconds, ako personally nag shift ako sa Neutral. Sample sa EDSA Ortigas, halos 100seconds dyan pagkakaalam ko e. Pag naabutan ako nang red light, full stop na ko nun then shift to N. Pag 10seconds remaining na lang yung timer, saka na ko mag shift sa D while your foot is still on the brakes. Ang reason ko rin dito is pag may long drive ako, pahinga na rin nung paa ko.
when in stoplight, mas better kung naka N and foot/handbrake. bawas stress sa transmission at longer life span ng brake pads. added bonus na lang yung save gas 😁

Neutral ako minsan sa stoplight. Kung beterano ka, walang problema dun.
Bro madali ang automatic kaya lang nakaboring lalo sa highway.In my opinion parang macho ang tingin ko paggamit ang manual at nalilibang ka where as sa automatic parang mayroon kulang lalo na pagmatagal na manual ang gamit mo.Sa traffic once nasa green na gusto ko manual mabilis sa acceleration.Guys this is my personal experience in driving from abroad and the Philippines.
These are the reasons I love driving manual cars. It’s too bad lang that newer top models don’t come with MT. Which is upsetting because I’ve been wanting to change cars but I have a very limited options. 😓
Being on a manual drive, now I know why it takes time for some cars to accelerate and its because they are AT, probably switching from N, break, D. Hence I love MT

Thank you for tips! Been a manual driver for a long time and the first time i drove an automatic vehicle was when nasa saudi ako. Halos lahat kasi naka automatic na sa middle east since medyo mahal and scarce ang manual dun. Naka manual din car ko sa pinas. Frankly i Dont have any idea on the details on how to safely drive an automatic. Hoping you can have more content like this.

Actually tama un Neutral pag trapik pag DCT gamit na transmission na dinadrive mo para maka hinga un transmission at hindi uminit at pag tagal masisira agad,ganyan ang mga DCT na ecosport,kaya hindi lahat ng Automatic pareho,tingnan nyo muna anu gamit nyo: traditional torque converter automatic,DCT,CVT,AGS.

@@PsalmiArtpieces oo,yan CVT naman e ang tipid version ng automatic torque converter,pero wag lang magkamali ng Transmissiom fluid,may sariling fluid ang CVT,ATF kc sa mga torque converter lang,dyan nasisira ang matic transmission pag nagkamali ng nalagay na transmission fluid at hindi nasunod un kilometers na dapat ka na magpalit ng transmission fluid.

nice tip! hope you can also explain ung mga paddle shifters and cruise controls, ung mdling maintindhan ha. salamat po! been a subscriber a while now. very helpful mga tips nyo for old and new drivers alike.
Paddle shifter is just manual mode,Plus to go shift up,minus to shift down,ngayon un cruise control naman iseset mo yan halimbawa ng 100kph,maintain speed un para hindi ka na tatapak sa gas pedal pero pag nag preno ka mag off ang cruise control ng kusa.

basic facts of gas and diesel, lalo na in terms of maintenance and cost. for the longest time i have this notion na ang catch lng ng diesel is its cost efficient. how true po na you had to check it every now and then kc baka nglalabas ng black smoke, and needs to be clean every 2 months, unlike pg gas pms usually is annually lalo na kng city driving lng at hndi gamit gamit ung sasakyan. salamat po.

Bakit po yung ibang turo regarding putting your gear to neutral while on heavy traffic with hand brake of course isn't much about saving gas but it's good for your transmission. Iyun po yung ginagawa ko ever since. For parking po, pareho rin po nung tinuro nyo, break, shift to neutral, handbreak, shift to park, manually turn off all electronics then shut engine.

Isa pa tama sya like whatbif may accdnt nga na need mo agad mgreact para makaiwas edi huli kana. And isa pa kasi pg nilgy mu sa neutral while trffc. Parang mangalay kotse mo nyan. Mabgla sya. Kasi pinahinga mo then bgla mo i lagay sa drve mabgla po yung kotse. Lalo na if need mo na agad mag go. Ibg sabhn mag gagas kana nun. Mahirapan sya s sudde. Launch. Just saying
Yes tama cya pero hindi yan applicable sa DCT,nag iinit ang DCT,depende pa din yan sa klase ng automatic na gamit mo,karamihan kc satin alam lang na automatic transmission kahit na CVT pala un sasakyan nila.

Sir, I don’t use the handbrake on a flat surface, I just put it on park. I only use the handbrake when parking on inclined surface. I’ve learned this back in the US. Thoughts?

Ako di naman sumasakit tuhod ko sa clutch. Parang anselan ng automatic 😅 kaya manual na lang lagi choice ko sa car also for engine braking din, hinahanap hanap ko talaga ang clutch pedal
pag sanay ka sa manual parang automatic din naman haha,clutch pedal lang kc ang wala sa automatic,malakas pa sa brake pads ang automatic.
