Zonai stuff has given me a lot of Twili vibes. I’m so excited with how much this game feels like it is taking some aesthetics from Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword

If we somehow get to see Fi again in this game I will bawl my eyes out. In general, I would just love to have a companion character again. The Master Sword regaining its strength and maybe becoming unbreakable again and then we get Fi as a companion again (with less battery warnings this time, lol) that would make me so damn happy.
It always looked to me like Gohdan from Wind Walker. The boss at the top of the tower of the gods
BOTW's map LITERALLY says 'Artbiters Grounds' at the location where the TEMPLE RISES in the desert scene.
The arbiters grounds from twilight princess? Does that mean we'll get the spinning top? Honestly actually that'd fit fairly well in this game as like, a part for the vehicle building
BotW had many place names derived from other Zelda titles that are likely not the actual locations from previous games. But it is possible that it's the same place as in Twilight Princess.
For example from Link's Awakening we have Mabe Village Ruins, Kanalet (Castle) Ridge, Koholi(n)t Rock, the Peak of Awakening. From Zelda 2 we have Rauru Village, and from Zelda 1 we have the often-reoccurring Spectacle Rock. None of those could possibly be the same places as the older games.

@@Bradley202 the previous games are in the "era of myth" by the time of botw. And we know a calamity takes 10000 years to happen so the one we saw in the tapestry. This means that at least 20000 years have gone by since ganondorf was presumably sealed. So tp would most likely be at least tens of thousands of years prior to totk.
Are we sure it’s the exact location? I really hope so but have we made certain that the footage lines up with the map?

actually the one with zelda probably goes to link. the one shes holding has the symbol for the recall ability, which is one of his starting abilities as we saw. i honestly think zelda was sent back in time using the recall tear, and starts leaving tears behind for link to use.

Yeah, that's Tulin! I recognized the voice. Not too surprised to see him; when he showed up in Age of Calamity's DLC, Revali said he had a lot of potential.

I think Teba is fine, I think he was just retired even when you find him at Rito Village in BoTW. He came back to fight Ganon as a one-off thing.
I love the classic brad lean back 1:05 when he can tell something is going to be tight.
Reminder that the current Zelda isn't a reincarnation of Hylia. Only Skyward Sword Zelda was, and every subsequent Zelda is her descendant that carries Hylia's divine blood in their veins. Hence, why Demise curses "The soul of the hero, and the blood of the goddess" to be haunted by an incarnation of his hatred.
So no, I don't think that new character is Hylia. At most she is another member of the bloodline (Either an ancient Zelda that was integrated into the Zonai culture, or a current Zelda that lives among Zonai remnants hidden somewhere, which of course would imply the existence of a point where the bloodline was divided into two family branches)
I think that’s just Zelda transformed. She wears the very same clothes, jewels, facial ornaments Zelda has.
@@mhric1570 Such similarities just point out the two are performing similar roles/are in similar position towards whatever it's trying to be acomplished. Even beyond argument about why her appearance would change so much (Darker skin tone, longer ears, etc) I seriously doubt that new character is our Zelda.
@@taymatosama maybe she changes her appearances cause she awakens or fuses herself with some kind of Zonai power, or whichever thing that dragon/rabbit-like creature we also see in the past trailers is. So she partially assumes their aspect. In any case, both of them wear the exact same clothes, have same eyes, use sacred power, and this new character is clearly an hybrid between a human and a Zonai (or whatever that creatures with long ears are) so I’m quite sure that she’s Zelda transformed.

@@mhric1570 It could be a flashback of Hylia. Zelda wearing the same outfit, could be seen as her realizing that she needs to become the next "Goddess" and harness the power of that Golden Tear.
That outfit could simply be "the Goddess outfit."

Somehow, not a single person I've watched react to this trailer has recognized the spirit tracks music right at the beginning
11:58 no blood, when she falls, she starts to glow right before the trailer cuts to the next scene. She is teleported somewhere away from there, at the end of the trailer she is looking up at a clear sky, with no sky islands, telling link that he needs to come find her. She is waking a goddess, maybe Hylia, who we see wearing the same earrings she is wearing, and has multiple tear marks on her face like Zelda's one. She is seen shooting a Kamehameha at one point in the trailer, looks very different from Zelda, so I don't believe it is her, probably a Zelda who has been sleeping for a very long time (which is why I call her Hylia).
That is definitely the woman who appears in the mural, along with the goat-shaped man.

@@eemoot in Zelda 2, there is 2 Zeldas. Reincarnation has 2 definitions, one is that the soul of someone who lived long ago is reborn to the world. The other is simply that this is the latest version of something from the past. Link is shown to be the second definition of this, since in Wind Waker, the hero of time's soul was taken from that reality.
Because Zelda's connection to Hylia is through a bloodline, it doesn't need to be connected by a single soul, and could explain Zelda 2, or how in botw, the king KNEW Zelda could unlock the power, because all females named Zelda in the bloodline have this ability. It also ties into ALTTP's Knight's blood for the hero in that game.
My guess is simply that both of the women in the trailer are different Zeldas, born at different times, and Zelda's goal is to awaken this other Zelda, which to simplify things, I simply called Hylia, it's another Zelda from the same bloodline is all I'm really getting at, someone who didn't die, just like how Link slept for 100 years or how Zelda in Zelda 2 slept for thousands of years. Remember Nintendo built botw by going back to Zelda 1, and for a sequel to botw, going back to Zelda 2 makes sense, we could simply be looking at an echo of what happened in that game, though I doubt this Link would marry the sleeping Zelda.
@@syferz Your theory is quite intriguing. I think you are on to something. Some people are convinced that Zelda has gone through some sort of transformation, which I do not think is true. It would not make her slim darker just because she went through some transformation. I think it's another Zelda and I love that the "other" Zelda's skin tone is darker.
@@eemoot Yeah, her ears are longer and more horizontal as well, so I definitely don't think that is Zelda. I also think one of the reasons her hair is shorter, is to contrast her from this new zelda even more, as she has very long hair.

The plot reminds me of a Link to the past, in that game zelda is trapped in a temple looking place, and the Hyrule castle in the dark world looks like a weird Aztecan pyramid, zelda also keeps asking you to find her.

I think one the castle and other land masses start rising up they reveal a whole new civilization. So damn excited to see what's actually going on in the game!
The tears represent a sage. Every race has a sage that protects land. In the mural, there are seven sages that rule the land, and Gannon has one himself. Whoever holds all the tears will rule the kingdom. Links' job is to unite them together. All these things follow ancient technology from the Sheikah. The sages represent an element like water, fire, earth, air, electricity, light, and darkness. There could be an 8th sage, but I'm so sure.
I watch your botw switch presentation reaction multiple times a year. I will do the same with this one.

I've just always been a fan of the "one last job" or "getting sucked back in" type stories.
I don't think they would ever do it, but a story surrounding a much older Hero of Time in the years leading up to them becoming the Hero's Shade would be awesome. We never see exactly how they got into that state, but they are missing an eye and are wearing very worn down soldier's armor which has always been a bit interesting.

I’m not convinced it’s Demise without some definitive proof. It’s just contextual evidence for now. I just think it’s Ganondorf empowered by Malice because we know for a fact Ganondorf is alive again and is also tied into the dark powers of Malice which we have seen evidence of in his corpse before. I wont say it’s impossible, just not convinced until we learn more in a month.
@@acgearsandarms1343 im thinking the malice engulfing the master sword is ganondorf absorbing the master swords power which breaks it and causes links corrupted arm but if this is true and he does absorb the power from the master sword that could mean he absorbs demise which could lead demise to possessing ganondorf so what we saw there might be demise possessing ganondorf

But another aspect that confuses me is the context of the curse. Only reason he cast it because he was dying. Does it break once he comes back to life?

I think Link will be travelling in different worlds or timelines and the shrines with green essence in it will be the gateway to go to that timeline. Like Link to the past type of gameplay

This is honestly the first time I've been excited for the game.

I've been hyped since I heard it was a direct sequel using the same terrain. Reason is I've never played a bad one and BoTW terrain was nearly perfect. We all like different things though.

Here is my theory: 2:35 I think this is Paya form the previous game because she obviously have same hair. She had a crush on Link. When Link ended up with Zelda after the first game events, Paya jealoused them so much, she transformed to a lizard lady and kidnap Zelda.

Well, shit... I've been theorizing that she's in the distant past this whole time, but I completely forgot that the Sacred Realm is a place that she could have gone to. My primary bet is still on time travel, but I will definitely consider the Sacred Realm being another possibility.
My theory. Zelda is in the Sacred Realm or some sort of divine realm. Her body dies in the fall. Link needs to reunite her body with her spirit.
She isn't dead tho. She got all glowy while falling much like how Link does when she teleports him in BotW. She may have been warped out of there.

Counterpoint to this, while not impossible, I don’t think it’s conclusive proof, just meant to get people talking. Could just be Ganondorf empowered by Malice to look similar to Demise for all we know. Demise was slain and no other person in the long history of Hyrule ever tried to revive him since. His body destroyed and his mind sealed in the sword until it decayed. So while there were steps were taken to ensure he remained dead, to undo them would take serious work which we don’t have evidence of just yet. I hope that’s fair to say until we know more.
@@acgearsandarms1343 The most important event that needs to happen for him to come back is him being released from the master sword. And the master sword is broken for the first time in this game.
@@PerritoGG Guess the question is then how his mind didn’t decay as intended after what could be millennia since Skyward Sword. If that question is answered, then I suppose Demise could return in theory if the Master Sword is broken. Unfortunately it’s also the only weapon that can kill him.
