  • After riding around Deals Gap, Robbinsville NC for the weekend, I take one last ride up the Tail of the Dragon. It was a great time riding and being a guest at the Eastern Women's Sportbike Rally 2019 and experiencing all the great roads around the area. I havn't seen any Z900RS videos at the Tail of the Dragon so I wanted to get this out there for all of you. Already looking forward to the next time I can visit the area. Thank you to everyone who has commented, subscribed and supported my channel so far! Also, thank you to Killboy.com for taking such amazing pictures!

    Sweet bike! Great video. I grew up where you did in Western PA. That would suck to travel all the way to the Tail of the Dragon then get stuck behind a car like that. If you get down this way again, try the Back of the Dragon in Tazewell VA. It's 32 miles long, 438 curves and goes over three mountains. You'll love it!

    Beautiful vid and bike! Seems too crowded for me to bother planning a trip out there. I've got plenty of decent country roads close by. Doesn't really matter where I ride, the z900rs Café turns the scenery into a blur anyway!

    I love your bike. I just saw it for the first time at the NYC Motorcycle show in the Javits Center. I can't imagine doing that ride on my Harley. I'd be driven off the road! I've done the Kancamagus up in NH but the Tail of the Dragon looks crazier.

      Thank you 🙇.It really nice sound.
      So you mean you keep the original silencer but just changed the header.(the 4 pipes)
      The catalyst the square box has been kept?
      The header comes with the hole for the OS senser?
      What you did affect the torque and power?
      If so, it gets better or lost some? Sorry asking too many questions.
      As it is is great, but I might do something you did.

      @ws6man96  Před 4 lety

      @@whoau961 to me it was totally worth it. The sound is better, less weight (no cat) and retains the factory o2 sensor location as well as the oem silencer. I noticed a slight improved in torque.

      Thank you so much for the tip. I like the original exhaust tail end pipe, so it is a great idea to keep the same original end pipe the O2 sensor but omit the square ugly box. Bypassing the catalyst must make much better looking.I may the header go into the exhaust tail end pipe directly even comes with a slight improvement of torque!
      If you let me confirm this, when you have a moment, let me know. Then I can do it by myself.
      **I believe we can do it without any modification of the angle of pipes or setting new volt holes or any welding.**
      Thank you! Have a good weekend!

      Not sure what you were watching, most of the turns he set up close to the kerb for left handers and out to the middle for right handers to straighten the corner. Riding within his limits meant he did not have to go to the limits of his lane so not being too close to the lane markings in the middle of the road which is the danger zone on the highway with traffic coming the other way. Enjoyable seeing the run ridden in a controlled manner

      And there in lies one of the issues about riding in groups on bikes on roads like this, some see it as a competition and get sucked into pushing themselves often out of their comfort / ability zone. As you said it’s not a race and once stuck behind the car no / few legal opportunities to pass, so you both kept going at a decent pace within your limits
