I had to use a vacation day at work today, sick to my stomach
You guys are nuts. It's just a game. Nothing life changing here. The players themselves don't take things that seriously. Whether they win or lose, they will take their millions and go on vacation. The crazy fans are the ones who end up pissed and lose sleep over these games. Believe me, these players are not losing any sleep over losing a hockey game.

None of us thought this series was gonna be easy… and it hasn’t been, but just in a way nobody could’ve thought. There’s a lot of adjustments that need to be made since Carolina has seemed to find their rhythm solving our game so now it’s our time to do the same to them. They didn’t lose hope when they were down 3-0 so why should we lose it when we’re up 3-2 and we aren’t the ones with our backs against the wall. Trust Lav to make adjustments and the boys to come firing on all cylinders Thursday. They’ve faced adversity and proven everyone wrong the whole year time to do it all again. LGR
I want them to win in 6 but if we win in 7 that’s much better than losing in 7.
The big question rolling into game 6 is what Rangers team are we getting? If we get the presidents trophy winning team, with a scoring top 6 mixed with some scoring from their depth then yeah they can for sure win. If we get the team that played last night then we have no chance
Brother I feel the exact same way. I bought into this team more than I ever have before. I've been a ranger fan since I was 8 years old. I was in high school in 94 when they won the Cup. They've had some really good teams since then and I've had hope before but none like this year. This year seemed so different. I know it's not over yet but the last game was pathetic. They need to wake up and wake up quickly.
Do we get laviogalant, does he make adjustments? The canes figered us out , something has to be tweaked . Do the 24 Rangers have the "extra gear" ? Thats what we are about to find out.

I woke up this morning pissed off. This team loses 1 game, and then act like they are going to a funeral rather than coming out and playing for keeps. The mental magnitude from this team is honestly horrible. They should have had Carolina shaking in there skates, nope, not this team. This Rangers team looked lethargic, pathetic, timid, scared shitless to be frank. MIKA, 1st goal skates to the bench like he is taking a stroll in the park. 2nd goal, Panarin stops skating like he is on a different planet. 3rd goal how many Rangers where behind the net?? I mean, they lose 1 game and this is how the react. And then to make matters worse, the Quotes. Trocheck, they wanted it more. Are you effing kidding me right now. Your 1 win away from the ECF playing at home and you guys do a complete no show. Then Kreider, if you told me we would be up 3-2 against the 2nd best team, I think we are in a good spot??? What, literally wha???. The problem there is you finished 1st!!!!!!! It's not like you where the lower seed coming into it. Trouba again, talks like he has a wad of Shit in his mouth and looks lost. The only player who showed up was Igor. Fox is a on the side of a milk carton right now. Drastic measure call for drastic changes and this is now on Laviolette. You want to earn your money, well here you go. This is where all the talk and you go into Carolina and take it. If Chytil can play, put him on the 3rd line center. I'm sorry Wennberg has had glorious chances all series and cannot capitalize, he is a worse version then Ryan Strome. 2nd take Vesey out and put Edstrom in. 3rd. Take Trouba out and put Jones in. This coach wants to show he is different, he wants to show something new then this is the time. Show every Ranger fan that this is different , that I don't give a damn what name you have on the back of the jersey, I want results. You know, If Lavi did something like that, I would applaud him, I would even say he did a good job even if they lost the series. Because for once, we have a coach probably since Torterella or Keenan who said enough is enough. I honestly learned not to hope. I been a fan since 94. And this is how I survived as fan. I assume they will f it up somehow.
I can't say if it's good or bad - I see that Carolina's Top Players aren't really doing that well, but for Guentzal, either.

We have gotten out worked in every game even game 1 and have gotten pretty lucky to win when we have. That’s why I’m concerned we have no puck possession and if you keep giving them chances we will lose that game. Not the game you want to play against a good team and Florida will make us pay if we advance. Really hope we can find our game again
Take some comfort, that, The 1994 Stanley Cup Champions got taken to 7 games by The New Jersey Devils & by The Vancouver Canucks. I forget how many games that it went to in the second round, after The Sweep of The Islanders. Feel better.
5 games against the Capitals. But the 1994 team had great leadership in Messier, Leetch, Richter, etc. These Rangers don't have players of that caliber.

Isn't it amazing that it seems that some fans take these games and losses more seriously than the actual players do? People losing sleep, being upset, over analyzing everything, etc. The players themselves, just by hearing what they said, don't seem devastated by their lackluster play. Ultimately, the season will end, they will go on their off-season vacations, while the fans will be pissed off. It's just a game, nothing that serious. Life goes on guys. Believe me, these players, no matter the sport, will not go crying in the corner of their room, or go puking all over their bed. It's just not that serious. It's only sports!! That's why I have stopped spending big money for tickets, travel, merchandise, etc. Not worth the time and money to watch players who don't show up, just like the Rangers have taught us for many years. I will just watch it on TV, and go to bed when the game is over. You can talk all you want, and hope all you want, but it won't matter. The players will do what the players will do. The Rangers need to prove their worth to you? Dude, are you serious? They couldn't care less what you think, or what any other fan thinks. Stop living in a fantasy world.

It’s crazy this team showed more energy in the road in games 3 and 4 than their own building in game 5 and I don’t blame the fans at all the team gave them nothing to cheer about everyone was just holding their breathe saying hopefully they can hold a 1-0 lead and get a shutout which wasn’t very likely zero urgency to play offense or press the canes that was pathetic and Mika and panarin especially should be ashamed of themselves

I am just annoyed by the Staal goal. Pathetic lack of effort from both Schneider and Miller. Burnt by the oldest / slowest guy on their team. You can't let him cross the crease like that. Especially being up by 1. Now all of a sudden we can't generate ANYTHING offensively? We might as well just play the next game 4 on 5. Our PK is the only bright spot right now. The Canes have all of the momentum. Debating on whether I even want to watch game 6. I don't need this level of negativity in my life, right now.

They played like the series was already won. Don’t need changes. Don’t need better refs or power plays. Just need to play an all in game for 60 minutes and we’ll win! Canes are good but we’re better! It’s going to be ok.
This is what Hockey has now become, after The Salary Cap Era was introduced. Not only are The Top 16 Teams going to play it tough, but, even The Bottom 16 Teams, such as Chicago & San Jose, are going to play tough & not merely roll over & play dead. If you look at The Washington Capitals, who I believe only won 8 games, in their first season, as compared to The Vegas Golden Knights, who went to The Stanley Cup Final in their first year, you'll see what I mean. I hope that helps you out.
This team goes into slumps way too often. Play amazingly for a stretch then awful for another. And the playoffs are not the time to. At least there’s now an extra day off they can rest up and recoup. I’m not too worried yet but depending how game 6 goes I might be.
I want to see a damn dog fight on Thursday. I've seen so much losing the last 30 years and understand losing to better team but this team CANNOT go out like this, being completely outworked. I hope Chytil is back in and I really hope he can provide a spark. Rempe CANNOT be playing in either of these last two games (if necessary). We need the whole bench. No pedestrians, feel good stories anymore... just a freaking war where the best players are in the lineup.

We’ve seen them have great games following terrible performances, that’s all i’m clinging to. But i’m definitely worried bc why does the team play like that w an opportunity to advance, no excuses. Get it done in game 6 by any means necessary.
You can’t break up the Tro, Laf, Pan line . They still a heavy favorite to win series but game 5 performance was not inspiring. TBH it’s the first really bad game they played this postseason. Florida’s game 5 performance was worse than Rangers. The 2 day layoff before game 6 can slow Carolina momentum I hope.
After 30 years of seeing this, I'm at the jaded part of my fandom with this team.
From Richter to Lundqvist to Igor, the goalies have always been the ones who show up and come to play. Igor LOST a playoff game where he made 79 (!!!!!!!!) saves. It''s emotionally draining.
Even when (or if) they get past this, they're going to be victims of assault against the Panthers

But here's my silver lining and a little faith for us all...... Pretty sure that last game was one of the worst games they played all season. It can't get much worse. Lol...... All series long the defense cannot transition the puck to the forwards...They are totally disjointed and out of synch...They can't carry the puck into the offensive zone as a unit...Pathetic!!
