I feel ND has a very steady strategy with releases and pricing. She’ll try new things and tweak others a bit every year, but there’s plenty of the same in a good way. I am for it especially in a year like this one. 🥺
Thank you for your comparison these two ladies. ND is my favoorite eyeshadows, i have Gold, Glam, Biba, Tropic, Minis in Nude and Zendo and just got her large 28 pan green-brown palette and OMG it is sooo gorgeous, i’m just obsessed with this color story, quality is higher, much better from all the other palettes. But now I’m looking for my first Pat Mcgrath palette and after your video definitely will grab one of her Mothership palette.
Wow! A big ND fan! I agree her color stories are just 😍. I think I am intimidated by the big original 28 pan palette, but have only heard wonderful things about them.

I have to say that I gravitate mostly towards ND style but I want to get a PM palette too. I just debate with myself if it worth the high price tag. I love ND quality. Your look is superb and I like the shades on the palette you used to recreate it. Thank you for your video Michi!💕

This is very informative as I actually have been trying to decide which of these 2 brands I want to invest in. I like the way you broke it all down. I am just really impressed with the Pat Mcgrath palettes. I love color shifts and sparkly shiny toppers.

My first luxury palette was NDs Aeris 5 pan. Her formula hasnt been as good since :/
I am so interested to tour the factory where these are made and ask them questions. Not that they would reveal the brand’s secrets, but get a better understanding of why formulas change. Is it ingredient sourcing, price consideration, etc.

@@MichiMakesUp Thank you, I only hope to provide helpful feedback. I watch you on both my mobile phone and on my laptop, and I watch a bunch of different people from my feed in a row. I have always found your videos' audio level to be pretty low, especially compared to other CZcamsrs. Today, right after your video, I watched Stephanie Marie's video (posted today) without changing device or changing any volume settings, and her audio is about 3-4x louder. If audio is too loud, I can always turn it down, but if audio is low, even on max, I can't turn it up enough. Thanks again!
That is very helpful. There are some setting adjustments I can make on the editing side for sure.
Yes I agree with the volume. I always have to turn the volume on max and I can't really hear that well. In the middle of the video the ad would pop up and it got so loud. Love your content so hopefully the volume will be better 😍

I have always wanted a Lila because I love the tones however the shimmers don’t seem to be very impactful and that’s what’s holding me back. What are your thoughts?’s I was also considering getting a two pack since she has a deal with two packs of shadows. I love the formula and the brand so I have quite a few but those are the ones I’ve still wanted trio chrome/Biba your thoughts
I would agree with you, compared to some of the other ND palettes, the shimmers from Lila are not as impactful. The looks I've created with it would fade around 3 hours of wear. I've experienced this with PMG palettes too. Neither of these bother me too much as I just love the purples, pinks and mauves in the color story. It's one of the best all-around purple palettes in recent years and perhaps the only notable one from a luxury brand. I like Lila more than Triochrome, but the two palettes are quite different from each other. There are so many mattes in Triochrome so it depends what you are draw more to. I don't have Biba. Can you believe it? haha One of her classic. Biba is a neutral palette with a twist. Lila would be my top choice followed by Biba and then Triochrome even though I don't have Biba.

Natasha denona is always a hit or miss which is so sad not all her palette and makeup line is consistent in quality it so sad she keep on changing the formula which is so disappointing .

Yeah, she's had misses too. I skipped the Love palette, because there was a shade on it that just swatched chalky and looked difficult to blend. I was playing around at Sephora before the shutdown. She did well the rest of this year. I'm hoping 2021 is a slam dunk all the way for her. And same with PMG!
Hi Michi, love your channel and videos! I was wondering if you have to follow the shelf life for eyeshadow palettes? I have a pat mcgrath palette and there’s just no way I can use it in 12 months, and I don’t want to throw it away
Thank you Emma! I have used makeup past their shelf life and had a reaction so I can't recommend that being safe to do. You can always put some on the back of your hand, leave it there for a while and see if you get a reaction from it.
My PM is almost 2 years old now and the performance is still the same. I use it all the time and have no reactions from it. It may differ from person to person though.
