    Still one of the greatest feats in the Open era...winning from the back ,(LIKE THAT), when grass was still grass......he played unreal tennis the entire fortnight

    I was scared for Agassi in this match. Goran’s serve was so dominant. Agassi simply had the will to win!

    This was one of the best Wmbledon finals...topped only by the time Goran won it.....and his famous words: There was three ofus out there.....the GOOD Goran, the BAD Goran, and the EMERGENCY Goran. Anyone who has ever played tournament tennis at any level knows what he means.

    Realmente esa década , habían tremendos jugadores de nivel, en este partido , ambos eran exelentes rivales y de nivel, a goran , siempre como.los demás sera una leyenda , ( Agassi) ( igual), había jugado todos los partidos muy bien, en la final , un partidazo, su saque , bueno pero acá fallo , varias veces , sino hubiera ganado el torneo , quizás, goran , es mucho mejor q, djokovick, más talento , experto saques, precisos, más humilde, tremendo jugador para los croatas, q, entre ( croacia y servía) antes Yugoslavia, , voy los croatas , son más misteriosos, y tienen una escencia q, no lo tienen los servios, con todo respeto , rescatables, mas originales ,

      No, it seems he said “bagassi “ and “gagassi”, perhaps referring to him playing comedic gags and being unserious?

    All Ivanisevic had was his serve. There was simply something wrong with the sport of tennis if technology allowed a player like that to play such a dominant role .

    • @grandslamtalk1137
      @grandslamtalk1137 Před 9 měsíci +1

      Not sure you understand his game. Goran had beautiful volleys and an attacking style from the forehand too. He made 4 Wimbledon finals, and was in the late stages of important tournament on all surfaces. He was a more discontinuous player than his peers, but if he was on, it was a danger to anyone. See what Sampras said about playing him on grass. You don’t get there only with the serve. Want a proof? Check the “real servebots”.
