  • A nice selection of Lima O gauge for sale. They are from the 1970s and 1980s and in good condition with very light wear.

      Short answer, no.
Long answer, depends on the track you have and how much work you're willing to put into them.
I have a small collection (27 cars) of assorted Lima 'O' freight/passenger cars and one locomotive (UK Class 33) amongst my much larger 3-rail "O" collection.
Also, I have an elevated loop of tubular track with 072 curves (as shown in my videos). Pushing cars like these about on my track proved hit or miss. On straight level track they tended to behave provided you didn't push them too hard, but any dips or twists in the track (particularly entering or exiting curves) may induce derailment as the Lima trucks are attached too closely to allow much twisting to follow trackwork irregularities. The two-axle reefers/boxcars absolutely _hated_ one particular piece of straight track that possibly has a dip in one rail and/or a slight out-of-gauge defect.
If you're running Atlas, Ross, MTH ScaleTrax or GarGraves track with flat-topped rails, you'll have much better luck running these provided you have wide-ish curves.
The oddball couplers will be the other issue, but one Ebay seller (trainpartsmart) has AHM conversion couplers that will fit these cars (AHM's O scale line from the '70s used the same couplers as Lima and Rivarossi), giving them dummy 3-rail compatible couplers much like the old 1970's Atlas cars.
