You gotta remember tho, Bleach is 20 yrs old; so some things that are “tropes” like Karakura Town being the main location of Aizen’s goal etc.. Bleach did it before many other series came along. Just something to keep in mind as you watch the series. Not saying Bleach was the first ever, but you’re watching a series 15-20 yrs after it was made, and tons of modern anime/manga like Black Clover, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, & Chainsaw Man were absolutely 💯 inspired by Tite Kubo’s Bleach. It’s easy to forget, because Bleach was ahead of it’s time. It still feels modern and relevant today, more so than it did when it came out. I’ve always loved Bleach over One Piece & Naruto, and I’m glad that it’s FINALLY getting the love that it truly deserved.
Plus giving what we already know it wasn't chance that it was that spot.

Mashiro called Ichigo berry because although 一護 is his name which means one protector it’s pronounced the same as 苺 which means strawberry. Bleach actually has a lot of jokes about this with characters poking fun at it since 苺 while also meaning strawberry is a feminine name so a lot of characters make strawberry related nicknames for him.
Both the first volume and last volume of the manga are even called “the death and the strawberry” representing Ichigo and Rukia, with the chapter where the volume where Ichigo saved Rukia being called “the deathberry returns”.
So pretty much just Japanese puns that don’t work too well in English
Oh yeah another fun fact about Ichigo’s name is the kanji which means to protect in his name. 護, Ichigo uses it while speaking only when he’s extremely serious about protecting someone. It ties back to the first arc where he took his name to mean he should protect his mother. From early on he always believed that he should protect those close to him due to his name meaning to protect so although he always strives to protect others he rarely actually uses the Kanji mamoru. Him using it is like him swearing his name and purpose on something, which has a lot of weight although this is completely lost in translation since there’s literally no way to show it in English due to how Japanese as a written language works. Hell it doesn’t even work well in the anime for Japanese speakers, it’s only shown properly in the manga

That Karakura Town is the center of Aizen's goal makes sense tho. It isn't just anime bad luck, the density of spirit energy is determined by the people who live there. If Ichigo and the Vizards and the Urahara Shop moved to Tokyo, that would be the new center of Aizen's goal
I really enjoy the inner battles since they are manifestations of Ichigo's mind and true feelings. It's a good way to show he has the instincts to fight and that his mind and soul are basically calling him out on being a bitch for not enjoying the fights or giving in to instinct in favor of being scared of his own power.

People complain Ichigo takes to many short cuts but really those short cuts are brutal and life threatening. It seems Ichigo needs his life to be in danger or something horrible is happening to his loved ones to get stronger. There are much more factors to his character but this is as much I can say for now. All in all Ichigo would have a easier time going the long safe path of training. But he isn't a fulltime shinigami and his main life is like ours. Just imagine how strong he would get if his main world was in the Soul Society if he lived like Naruto or Luffy.
@@NeonForceGetsuga I didn't mean people on the show said he took short cuts. I used to read Bleach on Kiss Manga when it came out weekly around the Full bringer arc. I stopped reading comments because people said stuff like "oh Ichigo cuts yet another corner." Or " more random power ups for Ichigo." And those were the nicer things they complain about.
The other things I was saying is Ichigo didn't have time to train like fulltime shinigami and he lives in the world of the living so he has to use the quickest and more dangerous training methods.
@@NeonForceGetsuga Exactly! They forget Ulquiorra himself pointed out Ichigo's hollow was more powerful. What I was saying people expect Ichigo to train like other shonen mc and think just because he doesn't train for 10 episodes it's a shortcut. When infact he takes on some of the hardest training.

Well they made it this way, the requirement is an enriched spirit zone so Karakura town has a lot of spiritually aware people and more people becoming aware so they are I guess in a way explaining the trope as well.

The Soul King is basically God cause he created all the worlds in Bleach universe, it's kinda crazy to think Aizen has the power to kill a god, that makes you think how powerful he is... Great reaction as always! There are few episodes left before we start Hueco Mundo arc. :))
As much as it just so happens that karakura is the town being targeted is an anime trope necessarily for the plot, it does actually make sense and isn’t complete bs. The reason karakura is a spirit enriched zone is because people like the vizoreds, kisuke and ichigo live there. If they lived in some other town, then that town would be the spirit enriched zone. It’s not some bs coincidence like it just so happens to be the town the mc lives in because we need plot
