Be glad you don't live in the UK, there were 12,400 crimes involving a knife or pointy instrument and 72 murders committed with a knife just in the city of London in 2023. In the UK guns are few and far between and very tightly restricted. You can't legally carry any kind of knife, you now need a license to possess any kind of sword and even owing a broadhead arrow point for a bow and arrow is illegal.
