  • Come and join us as we take on the Ingleton Waterfalls trail for the second time.
The internet is full of hints, tips, and reviews about how the entrance fee is too high, and that you can simply do the walk in reverse for free....but is it really that simple?

Looks great, I'm too tight to pay a tenner each, so I would probs do it in reverse.
    Love the tips ;-)

Lovely views and waterfalls. Not sure if pay £10 to walk it though. To me any type of walk should be free. Maybe ask for a donation for upkeep as people can pay whatever they want or can that way. Love the waterfalls. Be person was brave climbing right beside it. I’d do that and be the person on everyone’s footage falling in!! 😂😂❤❤

ha ha yes there's always people behind there, I bet you get some unique footage though!

This is a cracking walk….although it’s been a few years since we last did it! Certainly don’t remember paying that much to get in!
Thanks for sharing your hints and tips! Did the boots stay on for the whole walk?

haha they did....but I think I need to give them a good stretch at the back. The 'support' was so helpful it dug right into the back of my leg so once I removed them - I had a big dent in my leg and a big lump above it hahaha

It’s a really lovely walk. My calf muscles didn’t half ache the day after though😄. Entrance fee is too high even if it’s for the upkeep, but as it was just us two, we decided to go👍. Worth it for the first time. Might put me off returning though as there are other walks where you can just pay a few quid for parking x

We did the walk a few years ago and enjoyed it. Got the chips too, you missed out, they were extremely good! X

Memories of walking this several times as a kid, with family and church groups, and i think school geography class looking at the limestone paving. This would have been in the 90's I'm the USA now. When did they start charging to go in?

That's a big task for little legs! ha ha so many steps. I'm not sure but I remember visiting other tourist spots around it when I was younger (late 90's early 2000's) and we never went to the falls as they were still charging then.

Oh man. Memories of blisters. Minimum, a supply of plasters "about ya", but as you say, "broke in" footwear is the key. Not 100% sure but do'nt the grasping "Devonshires" own it. This crowd are behind a lot of "paying entry schemes" in t'shire.

    • @CherryRambles
      @CherryRambles  Před 7 měsíci

haha yes, sometimes you still need plasters as well as the well-worn footwear, you just never know where one will pop up next LOL.
It's such a shame that its quite pricey for families just trying to get out into nature x

Done this walk a few times the 1st time was me , dad, brother and grandparents who paid the fee of 12 pound for all 5 of us , the 2nd time me ,dad and brother went we did it in reverse and then in the right direction so we walked 8.2 miles instead talk about aching after tho , and the 3rd time it was just me and my dad we again did it in reverse and half way round security told us to turn back round and walk to the end and go to the entrance and pay the fee ( it's a beautiful place but the fees r to high especially with the cost of living and considering there r other walks which r free or smaller fees I just dont think its 100% worth it)❤ also they need to have toilets more frequently for younger people and people who suffer with medical problems my dad has colitis so this isnt a frat place

@@CherryRambles we also noticed they have been stamping the back of peopleohands with different colour inks so they know what time you set off

oh wow! that must be new, I think that's another way to just truly check who have paid the entrance fee - disguised as a 'tracking what time you set off' LOL@@kellyscraft6481

A flying guess, ms Griffiths. The stone is porous. The "peaty water " is heavier than ordinary run off, so will find it's way to the bottom of the "deluge". Just a thought.
