Because this very problem came up not just once, but several times with folks attempting to refill the PRO-1000 Carts.
So please follow the guidelines I am passing on this video for a successful refill of your PRO-1000 Carts!

Very good video. Thanks. I didn't know that some ink remains inside the printer when the printer display the low ink alert sign. I remove the cartridge and shake it to sense how much ink is left. Then I add about 30 ml more, re-insert and keep going. This has worked for me. I will try continuing to print until it's truly empty.

What happens, if you refill the cartrage when it is not fully emtpy (maybe already when the yellow sign comes up) and only with 40-50ml. Will the chip/printer still think, the cartrage is almost empty? Or can I handle the chip (normal or auto reset) problem by that?

Yes. Let them run till empty. No problem with air as it vents it internally if needed.

Hello José. Thank you for yours tutorials, there are vey nice. I am a new user of the ImagePrograh Pro 1000. I have two questions, if you may answer it? Can you tell me where I can buy these bottles of ink? I suppose, this is less expansive than buy a cartridge . And I have notice that inside of my printer, there is a small black strip of foam, at the below the head printing. And I have seen two average tasks of black ink on it. I suppose this is normal. But I would like to have your opinion, please. Thank you - Jean
That sponge collects over spray ink! Normal. Even more if you print borderlees.

Thanks Jose for your quick return. I guess there is an issue with the shopping cart. With one High Pressure Squezy Cap 1000 Combo the price is $36USD with 4 caps it is $250+. Just for adding caps. But I will try out. Excellent videos!
What I think it is, the $36 is standard charge for whatever their weight limit is. I can not explain why it would jump so high. I'll check.
Jose, I Still had a problem of the nozzle not sealing even forcing down to get a good seal.
I filled all cartridges that still had 15ml loaded.
A new OEM cartridge measured 124 grams.
All my cartridges with PC ink filled to 127 grams.
I think the low carts were measuring 45-47 grams.
The only spill I had was the first cartridge I filled squirted up at the beginning of the fill because I didn't know how much pressure I needed to force down to get the seal!
The nozzle I got may be defective???
Everything is fine. Ive been printing a lot with NO issues Jose. So it looks like I didn't overfill it.
I will fill one using his trimmed tip and then my tips and see if one is better than the other.

No. It is different with those carts as they have TWO ports. One for Venting and on e for Ink delivery.

Hello Jose, I'm planning to buy a Canon printer but I can't decide if I should buy the prograf 2100 or prograf 4100, the idea is that i want to use polyester canvas 260g matte, and people from Canon said is not recommended but i have the filing that they want me to buy their expensive cotton canvas ( which I'm not going to) . Can you advise me in which printer is better for polyester canvas 260g/sm. Thank you

I also think that CZcams goes by a persons watch history causes these different results. I cleared my CZcams watch history about 3 weeks ago and that’s probably why I have so many of your videos suggested. I have been watching CZcams almost all day on Saturday 12/09/2017 and around lunch time or after your 2(NEW) videos showed up in my suggested section.

Jose, Do a Live Demo with the nozzle from PC inks. The way Mike shows in his Video.
From now on make sure the carts always empty. In the case of the PRO-1000 that means the carts will literally will be devoid of ink. Unlike other printers, this one and the 2000/4000/6000 empty their carts when declared empty. I will be doing a video very soon where I will demonstrate ALL methods that can be done. Some for the very inexperienced and others for the more adept
( like you ) folks. I will also do the ink aspiration from the large carts.
