When I was away from my family, that is when I got so close to Allah swt cause literally I am always so "bad" at making new friends. So I talked to Allah swt very often, did sunnah prayers, listened to islamic podcasts, read quran etc. I felt very productive in increasing my islamic knowledge on those days.
It’s such an emotional time and rite of passage that you’re going through in life. It’s so emotional.
You can always come home during Ramadan and pray and break fast with your family. I’m so excited for you Loren! I love watching your Ramadan series. It inspires me to pray more 💗
I also recommend Omar Suleiman’s Jannah series this year but also his other series on Yaqeen Institute! He has playlists like “Allah Loves” and “Day of Judgement” which is really good.
Also the incense didn’t burn because you have to let it burn a flame for a couple of seconds and then blow it out. It’ll start smoking and smelling good. Ramadan Mubarak!

I normally don’t comment on videos but I also just got married and moved to a different state with my husband. At first I was a little sad being away from family but it truly does bring you closer together! Love your videos! ❤

I really recommend Omar Suleiman's videos!! he does a ramadan series every year and the videos are super short (less than 10 min) so perfect to watch with family, I also LOVE "the firsts" series, they're longer videos and some of them honestly made me cry, the love story between Ali RA and Fatima RA is my fav

In the Uk day light saving starts on the first weekend of Ramadan. So our first couple fast we have been breaking around 6pm but its going to be going an hour back this weekend.

Hi! I recommend Second Life podcast with Hillary Kerr, which is where she interviews different female entrepreneurs on their journey of embarking on their business venture. So inspiring and interesting to learn how companies (for example Briogeo hair products) got started. Def give this podcast a listen, love your content btw! Also, I love that you’re moving to the NC mountains, I live in Charlotte and enjoy going to Asheville!
For incense you need to hold the flame till it burns for like 10-20 sec and then put down the flame. And it burns by itself amd smells nice

That lighter will not work well you need an actual flame let it burn for 5 seconds then blow the flame out. It will then burn on it's own.

Ramadan Moubarak, for the podcasts I definitely recommend Yaqeen institute (Imam Omar Souleiman and many other amazing speakers mashallah all with different series) I also recommend Qalam institute podcast (Imam Aberrahmane Murphy's heartwork series is so insightful) and for Quran I love listening to Omar Hisham Al arabi.
