Thanks for the interesting lesson on drivers. I didn't imagine that the majority of them were for upper mids and treble and until now no one but you had bothered to explain this concept
Thanks, so yeah I looked over the configuration after making the video and yeah one driver is for bass, two for mids and 9 for upper mids/treble. 4-31736 model which range is about 7-18khz 1-30019 which is about the same. 2-29689 which range is about 10hz-18khz And 1-22955 which range is about 10hz-6khz. With the tuning the audible ranges are a little smaller but stock that is what those drivers typically produce.
KZ does have a pretty rough guide to their switches on their website with graphs, but from the look of it, they barely do anything, EQ-ing would do way more than what the switches do
I just bought the standard version with no switches for $91 hope I made a good decision. I own ikko, simgot, 7hz, thieaudio, Moondrop.. but I always keep coming back to my KZ's...KS10 Pro X and zvx.. I hope this is good too. I almost got the AS16 Pro but f it.. I'll go big or go home lol
Nice choice of track, G Jones and Eprom, they do some awesome tracks together, and I think it's more along the lines of Dubstep.. Also Alix Perez and Eprom have some sick colab tracks together.
Thank you for the video! I am searching for a IEM that sounds like KZ AS16 but with more bass. Like a mixture between AS16 and ZS10 Pro. Could you maybe recommend me one if you know? I thought maybe the AS24 could be the one, with the switches.
I don't see why anyone would have a problem with the switch position. Rotate one iem. Easy peasy. How did you guys get to the moon? BTW, did you tune Gimlet? Good job if you did, those things are brilliant.
One question..AS 16 has 3 different versions with different impedances..You need the 30 ohm impedance adapter with all three or only for the lower impedance version of them ???
I love my AS10 - -I'd like to know too what AS24 can do with regards to soundstage, clean bass power, clarity vs AS10. I would not want/need the tuning switches as only use a PC based setup. Are all of the drivers in AS24 connected ? - or some there for sympathetic resonance "tuning" ( show??) What does your ZAR do vs AS10 ?
@@karlsonkab51 Hello. I bought the ZAR after these people hyped it as "this iss prrrobablee the bbbbest saowunding KZ product until dayte". It definitely gives clear sounds of instruments and voices than the AS10. It has deeper bass from the dynamic driver. But it lacks the sharp end punches of the upper frequencies. There is a tweet distortion sound at the higher mids, which sounds like the annoying whistle that comes when you hold a speaker half inch closer to a hard surface. It could be because of the Shanling M0 pro player Equalizer settings. But it still should not do that. The AS 24 is a little older than ZAR. Means no latest drivers. No dynamic driver. Means less bass than ZAR. And the main thing is that they names it AS24, thats it. Which means they will bring the Pro version with a dynamic driver in it. So, was thinking not to buy it, unless the reviewers gives some honest and comparative reply.
If I were the type of customer who only wants to own one pair of earphones, then maybe tuning switches would appeal. As an enthusiast who already owns a selection of IEMs, these switches are actually a turn off, when I'm thinking of my next purchase I've already crossed IEMs of the list because of this gimmick. Still considering the Dunu SA6 though, but the switch has nothing to do with why I want it.
Agree, but I'm okay with a couple switches if they actually do something, like bass boost or treble boost. It seems like most iem's just cut or boost mids/treble and I don't think I've ever seen switches done properly. Closest I've seen was in a $2k iem and no other one has come close except for the new pennon and SA6 ULTRA.
@@hi-friaudiomanI prefer the ANEW X One solution with the different switchable frequency dividing circuit module instead of switches. Looks better and less change of ruining them with sweat and moisture. I wish more took that path. I seen IEM’s costing even over 1k that doesn’t get the DIP switches right. Yes a pain in the rear.

I agree with this comment 100%. thank you.
On the kz castors the switches make a huge difference.
Been waiting for this one! Get well soon!
Excited for the teardown.

Dude, there's a lot of wishful thinking going around for this one. 😅
Great review. Thanks!

I have AS16 Pro and it's well rounded, bass is nice. Not gonna be switching to these any time soon haha
Why "haha"? These are that bad?
Sound quality wise KZ is really bad
The 16s are more than enough for IEMs. Especially for half the price.
Which iems can you recommend for live performance? Under 500

I look forward to seeing the teardown on this one.
How one get review units from kz? I would love to give them a hearing and review
how about kz zar, do u recommend them?
do you ave a review like this for the KZ as36 pro and the AS 10 Pro X?
KZ as36???
I have KZ AS10 and KZ ZAR. Will these AS24 add more performance to my collection over them?

Can i as the celest phoenixcall is coming next ?
Yes phoenix call will be next. :-)

Странно, что видео на канале перестали выходить
Cables are really low quality for the price. I'd rather not have a switch. I'd rather adjust the eq.
Agreed I am not a fan of switches on iems

Those really are stunning faceplates
Tear it down!
8:10 way too many switches... 😂
Looking forward to your review of AFUL PERFORMER 8
