I hope this video can help someone not sure where to begin when buying stuff for Skylanders Imaginators. In case you don't agree with me on a certain point, please let me know in a comment. Thank you for checking out the video!
For Robow and Wildstorm, I would just recommend buying an NFC card for now.
That still gives you access to the level and the character, for 5$ or less, and you can still buy the actual figure later, if you want to.
But you still have access to the level in the meantime
The imaginite crystals don't do much in terms of unlocking things, they are mainly good for putting those pieces you find all the time to use and there are accolades or medals that you get for having an imaginator of each battle class. Their elements mean practically nothing other than bonus power in the strengthening zones and it decides just one of their abilities.
I would also say that it’s best to put your money on the senseis first. I do like messing around with the Imaginators though, from the little experience I have. I think it’s a really cool gimmick.
A good thing to note is, that if you get all the villains you get a sensei of every element and battle class
Sorry for the late reply but that is a very interesting fun fact!
One thing that might have been useful is if you could help talk about what some efficient combinations of Sensei's would be to hit your benchmark of one of each element.
Just as a small tip, if you want a sensei of each battle class and element, look for the villain senseis. They specifically spread them out, and Jingle Bell Chompy Mage is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than the regular variation
This video is perfect as I was wondering how many senseis I would need and how much space I would need to store them in a plastic tub along with the portal and imaginite crystals just yesterday.
Such great timing! Happy to hear the video was helpful :)
I love imaginators, id suggest getting a cryatal of every element and a sensei of every elemant
You dont necasarily need a sensei of each battle class but its a good quality of life if you want to get each imaginator extra upgrade
Those are great tips! I’m all done with sensei of each element but I haven’t gotten in to the Imaginators at all really since I have no means of resetting them (I don’t own a Wii or 3DS). I really like the little I have played with them so far though, I think it’s a great gimmick.
If you just wanna complete the game i recommend getting neo cortex as he costs like £6 and crash costs around £15. boom bloom, ambush and jingle bell chompy mage also cost around £15. The second cheapest tech skylander seems to be dr krankase being £15 also. So if you dont care about the character and just want elements and dlc for the cheapest, get neo for tech
With neo
£6 + £15 = £21
With crash instead
£15 + £15 = £30
You can basically save £9 to get a tech, life and dlc just by choosing neo
Main downside is that he isnt that good, but I dont feel like crash is much better.(For you life element i would recomend boom bloom since she is one of the more unique ninja classes, also if you can get a good deal she can come with the enchanted elvin forest pack which gives you another expansion on top of that)
Thank you for commenting, those were all solid suggestions. I agree that Boom Bloom is unique but I was actually surprised about how much I liked Neo Cortex. I didn't think his playstyle would suit me but he turned out to have a lot of utility with all his gadgets. It's really hard to get a deal you can call "cheap" on Imaginators if you want to collect all elements and battle classes :)
as someone who spent 140 bucks on getting wildstorm, while expensive the cursed tiki temple is probably within my top 10 levels from the entire saga, so while Hella expensive I'd feel bad if you didn't get to experience it for yourself.
Thank you so much for such an informative and awesome video!
Thanks a lot, I’m glad it was helpful! Also thank you for checking out the video and leaving a comment, I really appreciate it!
Thanks coming clean! I might be getting imaginators soon so this will help brilliantly :)
Great! I’m very happy to hear the video was helpful!
What senseis would you recommend that are a reasonable price that are also good?
@@skylandersprime6041 for me I think that sense is you can just have fun with are king pen, ambush and painyatta
I actually discovered that my Wildstorm was expensive through this video, I had no idea prior! Also for anyone who is considering buying Wildstorm / Cursed Tiki Temple level you really only should if you’re dedicated to 100% completing the game or would enjoy the play style of Wildstorm, as both are fairly average and not at all worth it for casual players
I'm happy to have enlightened you about that, I was quite surprised myself when I first saw what he was worth. Thanks a lot for sharing your insights, glad to hear I can spend all that money on other characters :)
Just bought everything, just need the two blue chests from wild storm and ro bow. I did not buy the superchargers though, find them a bit pointless. I was a big fan of giants. Can’t believe I am getting into this in 2024.
I'm someone who has Ro-Bow and can play Lost Imaginite Mines anytime, the level isn't the best, beating the level normally is good and the gimmick of magnets is cool but when you have to 100% the level it becomes drastically harder. The speed run time limit is very strict.
This is informative thank. I spent so much on Disney Infinity and only 1 character and 12 discs to go I'll stick with DI, but great video either way
Thanks a lot! That sounds like a really impressive Disney Infinity collection. May I ask which one is missing? Thank you for checking out the video!

I was just worrying on what I would get, god bless your channel🙏
Thanks a lot! Glad I could help :)
@@ComingCleanGaming no problem, thank YOU
I'm just happy i finally aquired drill sergeant.
Anyways, great video!
Congratulations on your Drill Seargant! Happy to hear you liked the video :)
@@ComingCleanGaming thank you.
I got the game yesterday
My 1st imaginator whack o lantern is broken
I only have Thumpin Wumpa Islanders and want the rest of them so bad and I also need seven more Senseis to have all the original ones and I recommend you get Tide Pool she’s decently priced and she’s very fun
Thanks for the tip! I’ll keep my eyes open for her. I think the other “cheap” expansion packs are worth buying if you can find them for a reasonable price,
What you need:
1. Ro-Bow. Very inexpensive figure, easy to find.
Just got today imaginators ,this video is quite helpful :)
I just...need help with the puzzle of what to get haha
I did something similar with swap force, but this looks like a giant task
You mentioned an excel, what exactly did you do there?
Glad you thought the video was helpful! In my Excel file (that was actually a Google Spreadsheet) I listed the senseis I owned and I also included which element and battle class they belonged to. That way it became clear which ones was missing and I could continue to fill out the spreadsheet with senseis I wanted to buy that represented the elements and battle classes I was missing. This helped me so I didn't have to keep everything in my head. One word of warning though! Make sure to not focus too much on just these attributes, you should also watch gameplay and make sure to buy senseis you think you'll like to play with too. Otherwise you will end up with more characters than you need anyway :)
@@ComingCleanGaming
I just finished the excel with your help, and managed to organize them in a way that I only need one of each without repeating myself (I'd buy later extra ones since all designs are cool of course haha)
Bad juju (both air and swashbuckler, searched her up and she looks really fun!)
Golden queen and king pen cover in starter pack brawler earth water and sorcerer
Pain yatta (both magic and smasher)
Krankcase is the only quickshot that doesn't repeat element, and you covered him in a "complex skylander" video I loved!
Wolfgang (undead, bowslinger and lovely villain)
Flare wolf is less rare than chompy mage, and makes up for the fire element...
Sentinel hook sickle
Now the thing is, getting ambush "forces" me to get starcast too (as I wouldn't have any other ninja) and , at the same time, "forces" to take blaster tron since I'd have no other light element.
I appreciate the answer you gave me as I have a more clear way of seeing things, but if there's any suggestion I'd gladly take it.
I kept in mind prices too, and those are not too out of budget
What about the 11 th sensei chaos
Are the supercharger levels in inaginators exactly the same? If I play superchargers first, will it sorta be a waste of time if it try to play through them in imaginators?
It's my understanding that they are exactly the same, even the extra races from the different physical cups and the villain racers you unlock with them. I don't think anything carries over either so in a sense, it would be a waist of time. However, the racing has a lot more focus in SuperChargers and it's more of a side activity in Imaginators so it could make more sense to complete them in SuperChargers still.
I feel like wildstorm and robow should only be bought if you like them because both of them have cheaper ones of there element like neocortex or bad juju or airstrike
I agree. I'm sure they are a lot of fun like all senseis but there are certainly cheaper options :)
Do you mind linking the chart for the skylanders and their battle classes?
The chart is actually sort of my own purchase list for me to keep track of what I should buy rather than an informative chart about senseis. It might however be a good idea to create something like that for the community. Thanks for the idea!
I recently started off my imaginators collection by buying a creation crystal of each element.
That's a great way to start! I didn't talk much about Creation Crystals in this video but I have since discovered them and now they are one of my favorite things in the Skylanders games overall :)
maybe late but i got all sensei's included robow wildstorm got robow even 2 times haha
Wow, you're lucky! And by selling them, you also have a way out of a minor financial crisis as well but let's hope it doesn't come to that :)
What about creation crystals?
That's a great point. By the time I made this video, I hadn't really gotten into the Imaginators characters and I basically just skipped them. I did eventually start to use my Creation Crystals and now I love Imaginators! You can find several videos about them on my channel :) Thank you for commenting!
What does the list cost if u would buy it all?
everything in imaginators is around 1000
I have not dared to do the calculations yet but apparently, it’s about 1000 dollars :)
@@EBResells Thank you for answering the question. That’s pretty steep! Part of me is glad though, that Skylanders are obviously still in demand.
@@ComingCleanGaming I agree, but mainly the price comes from ro bow, wildstorm and chompy mage. So annoying because i have jingle bell chompy mage and it just doesn’t sit right with me not having the green version. However i’m not paying upwards of £70 for a single figure lol
@@EBResells I know the feeling exactly :)
You forgot to mention the Wii U version, the cheapest, and the switch version, the most expensive
You're right, they should have deserved more focus. The Wii U is maybe the best console to get from a Skylanders perspective since you can play all games on it AND reset your Creation Crystals.
i got the game for 5 bucks on a store
for ps4
Wii u version of the game is the definitive edition because it can play donkey Kong, bowser, and access the racing feature that's absent in the switch version.
Good point! The Wii U is looking more and more like the ultimate console to play Skylanders on :)
