Love, love, love this tutorial… My kids are 7.5 and 6 yrs. I have been cutting their hair since they were little. And sometimes take them to the barbershop, but they always give them a haircut they want and a low taper when I usually ask for this haircut here. I have been cutting their hair this way but I mess up still, I keep practicing though. I finished cosmetology and need to pass my practical (passed my written 🙃) I hope I can get the sheer work a little better… is what I struggle with most.

Thank you so much for doing a tutorial on this! I've been cutting hair for friends and family for over 20 years no problem until my oldest hair really started growing in as a preschooler. It's identical to this, and I was never quite happy with his cuts. Definitely going to try these techniques.

Been to 30 different barbers traveling for work and none of them can keep the crown long. They all say they know exactly what to do then they cut it out. 6 weeks to grow it out looking like alfalfa then I go home to the 1 local barber that gets it right. Half of the others barely know how to use scissors. Thanks for the tutorial!!!

I just went through it last week man. Do you think if you would have done shear over comb in the dense area (by the ear) would you have had success? Or would a detachable blade have made a difference? I had a crown problem last week and he dense area as well on the same canvas 🤦🏻‍♂️
