  • Two different versions of similar drills, one is more general purpose with 6amps at 600 rpm on double reduction gears and the other one is a increased torque model with 8amps at 500 rpm with a key drive chuck and triple reduction gears. they both are professional grade with all ball and needle bearings.

Mr Maximus, Rockwell never made tools in Pittsburgh, it was a corporate office. These drills were made in Jackson, Tennessee.

In 1994 I remember my father purchasing me at pergament that was our home Depot back then a Porter-Cable model 629 tigers saw reciprocating saw still works after all these years lost a lot of its labels had to replace the shoe lost the original box have yet to replace the carbon brushes have a set brand new never opened so for having it for 30 years still works worth every penny it costs i do not remember how much it costs 30 years ago I was 17. I remember I asked him for a drill with it and he goes next time and it never happened I ended up getting my DeWalt dw-991 in a metal box 14.4v drill I still always wanted one of these I don't know why now I just don't need one I've used them before

I have a 27-year old Stanley corded power drill. Paint is chipped as hell, the stickers are still readable.
    Runs like a champ though!

In your commission area there is a Harbor freight Bauer drill for well over double the price. Now that's a commission

Rockwell International sold its power tool division to Pentair Inc. in 1981. Pentair was not allowed to use the 'Rockwell' name so they chose instead to use the original 'Porter-Cable' name, a company founded in 1906 that Rockwell International purchased in 1960. Pentair sold Porter-Cable to Stanley-Black & Decker in 2004, who then cheery picked and later degraded the remainder of the product line as is usual with buyouts.
