Is there a reason why most ballpoint artists go with the BLUE over other colours if they do the monochrome style?
Is it better to stick with one ballpoint pen variant for everything and just vary the pressure or is it okay to use different strengths from the same brand?
E.g BIC has such a broad variety and they seem to be a bit different in their color too.
The classic is a different shade of blue than the crystal or the soft
But even in between their lineup: Fine, Extra, 1.6, Classic - it gets a bit confusing for me….

I just like how the blue looks. To be honest, I just found a pen one day and started drawing. I stuck with that pen (BIC Roundstic pen). I haven’t experimented with different strengths from the same brand of pen. I vary the pressure with one pen. I say find any ballpoint pen, and start drawing.
