One of the most popular drumset method books is Rick Latham's "Advanced Funk Studies". This book has maintained it's popularity for literally decades because of it's universal appeal.
Although, I think the title is a bit misleading. The book has a lot of basic grooves that almost any drummer can understand.

So that is what we're doing with this week's Groove Construction Lesson: Take a basic (simple) groove from the book and develop it to make it our own!
