It must be me- BOTH Rafales I had flew into the woods on my first launch, and I never saw them again- Your flight looks quite a bit better!

Honestly if you hand launch it in its "safe" feature it pretty much just flys right out of your hands. When it's in its safe mode it has up trim programed into it already so it just naturally climbs.
This thing is so stable you could launch it with no safe or gyro I bet. Just make sure to give it a little up trim before tossing it.

Watch out for fod the ducts are right near the ground plus the air intakes on bottom. Nicked two impellers if you don't get off throttle soon it can suck in junk. Also if people live at higher altitudes hand launches can be potentially more difficult, though this one is pretty easy. On one launch early on, a buddy tossed it and I accidentally kinda got into hi alpha lock and drifted into a low tree. Thankfully no real damage occured.
I converted mine to 6s and really prefer it. Can power out of alpha no problems, better vertical, still flies slow but can draw those long fast arcs through the sky and also battery life is better on my setup than stock I found. But hey, the stock unit is great too, I just like to tinker.

@@JeffinLowerAlabama great choices 👌🏽 consider the Xfly Su27 and Marlin too. They are easy to toss and pretty durable.

Not getting enough power to lift it off the ground tried three times now haven't reacted yet my maiden flight isn't working out wondering how to fix it

Change ESC to an 80A and run a 2800 5s lipo. Ul have plenty power. Mine flies great on 5s.
@@M4rkmcc21 Not a bad idea. I changed mine to 6s with 70 amp esc and it was worth it for sure in my book. 5s and bigger esc like you did sounds easier and cheaper of course. I clcok mine at about 90mph straight and level and the stock one is about 70. 6s version can do great vertical with 2400 battery. I also run 2600 or maybe a 2800, cant recall. Can easily fly over 5 minutes with mixed power including a couple sustained vertical climbs.
@AerialRCFun I'm getting 72A on 5s. I didn't do an Amp test on 6s but the thrust was great on 6s when tested. But the motor was pipping hot. So I stuck with 5s. I gained 50% thrust in doing so and it now has the power the awesome airframe deserves.
