You can see Eddie’s therapy sessions paying off. Pre-therapy Eddie would have never been able to give this type of advice. But I also love that Buck has someone with a similar experience to talk to.
So many thoughts swam through my head with this scene: 1. We all need an Eddie in our lives, someone who listens, respects boundaries, is patient, and knows when someone needs advice, and doesn’t judge you. Honestly, we also need a Buck too. 2. Does Eddie really not remember asking Buck if he was hurt during the ambulance ride in 4x14? Probably he was in shock, right? 3. I am curious why Buck went through those dreams in his coma but Eddie didn’t?
About Eddie asking Buck, I think he was in shock. He was worried for Buck, but not completely concious about being hurt or his own reality, yeah totally in shock.
Buck was in a medically-induced coma, which basically means extremely heavy sedation. Apparently it is quite common for people to remember strange dreams from these comas because of the effect of the medications.
This episode hit me hard I relate to buck even more now, I to died for 3 and half minutes when I was 11 years old after having multiple seizures on the school bus, I think the hardest part was sleeping for me because that’s what it felt like, like I was so tired I drifted off and woke up under the brightest light I’ve ever seen and my crying mother in the hospital, all I can remember was night after night thinking that I would wake up in the hospital again of not waking up at all, I’m 18 now and I still think about it every night, it was like the feeling of dread even tho I was so young I could never forget waking up a seeing my moms face when I was taken off life support, the pain I felt from the tubes that they had down my nose a throat was awful it felt like something was scratching the back of my throat with a brush, I’ve learned to deal with that a lot more now than I used to but it’s still an awful experience and I know it was for my family especially the one that were on that bus with me had to experience something like that so young, I felt a lot of guilt to because my mom joke stay up late or wake up and check if I was still breathing for a long time after it happened, my sister was just 12 and she had to witness my bus driver carrying me off the bus while I was unresponsive it was scary and i know it was hard for everyone to deal with that
Nah cause this is exactly what we needed. Eddie witnessed everything, yet he held back from it all cause he thinks he needs to hold that boundary from Buck, especially after the whole Buck being a donor scenario. I think that’s going to play into more effect throughout this season. Eddie was straight up because he is annoyed that Buck isn’t letting him in like he used too. Not just that but you can tell how much he cares, he’s still holding back, I have a feeling that he does remember asking if Buck was okay when he got shot, not just that but Buck throwing him over his shoulder and just keeping him awake. I mean Eddie was holding back the whole time in the hospital cause of his family, he even held back so Chris could have his moment. He was trying to be strong for others, when you could tell he was on the verge of a breakdown. I mean also the previous scene, you could tell he was also a little annoyed that Buck knocked out before he could even check in with him. Idk def gave “Honey you better start talking vibes, cause we can’t keep avoiding this” 😅
Ahhhh you know that's not all Eddie remembers though! See the little pause he did? Bet he remembers staring at Buck covered in his blood, thinking he's also hurt. They're just not quite ready to dig that deep. SUCH a good episode! Can't wait for the rest of the season!

Sorry this scene should of been written better. Buck saved Eddie's life when he was shot and not to acknowledge that in this scene is Obscene!! 911 will be a show that is always about missed opportunities. They write against the way the characters should be evolving. Buck and Eddie since day one of meeting should be evolving into a relationship much more powerful than friendship, and the show runners won't go there. Instead now we have two tossed in girlfriends at the last minute for each of them with ZERO the chemistry that Buck and Eddie have with each other. Ridiculous!
There is too much not talking about what makes them close. When Eddie got shot, Buck was there and Eddie didn't mention it now. In Buck's dream sequence, Eddie wasn't even there. Makes no sense
@@jamescoleman4022 Eddie clearly forgot talking to Buck immediately after getting shot, which makes sense, since he was in shock. And I don't think Eddie was included in the dream because there wasn't enough time, and because Bobby was the key, not Eddie.
@@jamescoleman4022 Personally I think Eddie is just not telling the whole truth (the way he pauses and avoids eye contact) I think he remembers that Buck was there, but admitting it means he must admit that in his dying moments, Eddie reached out for Buck and couldn’t take his eyes off him. He might not be ready to confront those feelings yet.

If I don't remember wrong, Eddie wans't in coma, he was sleeping due to medicine, but not in coma.
