It takes courage to show feet on camera and even more to talk about the hair that grows there. Its such a normal thing but no one likes being public about it. Thanks for being so candid. I was told once that yellowing on the toes can be reduced by buffing the nail after removing the old polish. Give it a try! Awesome video!

Also as someone who went through school for nail tech, you did a pretty good job, but I'd wait to wax AFTER the pedi just so it's a little more sanitary and you run less of a risk for infection

Important: Please be careful when cutting your toenails. Do not round them so they follow the shape of your toe. They are meant to be somewhat straight (the shape of a typical toe nail clipper) Improper cutting/further rounding can cause an ingrown toenail, a potentially painful condition where the nail grows into the toe. It becomes inflamed, and can get infected and ooze pus. If left untreated, the infection can spread to the bone.
I started over rounding my toenails when I was 11, I stopped but now I frequently get ingrown toenails with pus, that are sometimes very painful. I will probably have to get surgery and have the nail removed so it can grow back properly. 'Not worth rounding looking better, and even that's just personal opinion.

Adding to this-
NGL once you have ingrown nails they are a BITCH to get rid of. I've had the procedure done twice already to "permanently" remove them and they've come back both times, even though I take care of them properly now. Definitely better to just avoid needing it in the first place. You get multiple needles of Novocaine or similar directly into your toe right at the knuckle, which hurts like a mother, plus Novocaine burns. Then you're swollen for days, your favorite sneakers don't fit quite right until it goes down, etc.
And if you work somewhere that requires close toe shoes, you have no choice but to suck it up and wear them, for your 10 hour shifts... With your open foot wounds cooking in your nasty, sweaty, too tight shoes.

Wow! Wonderful teaching/sharing! I’ve been doing my own toes n fingernails for 4 years. I purchased EVERYTHING (n multiples of colors!!!!)....all kinds of sparkle n bling!! Everything I had purchased, was the equivalent of me going to my lady for nails n toes twice! I purchased way way too much! Had my own private nursing n caregiving company back then. I had been feeling bad...and worse and for 1 1/2 years complained to my doctors that “my get up n go go go....Got up n went!! It just got more difficult to go to my nail appointments... plus if needed a repair! My schedule was very busy as I needed a few more of me!! Unfortunately but also by the grace of God, it was finally noted I had a brain tumor!!! My brain buddy had had SO much fun in my brain, that he felt so special and even grew a tail!!! He had really anchored in there!! 🤕 I was really glad 🙂 I had purchased all that I had prior to loosing my career!!!! I’ve watched so many DIY nails....and toe nail painting/art..... Never the pedicure!! I’m 48 y/o living in central California...and I admit I’ve NEVER HAVE I EVER HAD A FULL PEDICURE...other than getting my toes painted!!! I have “sanded” my feet so much throughout the years!!! Hubby always has soft sexy feet!!! (I’m not in love with feet at all.... with the exception of itty bitty baby feet....and my mini weenies’ paws! ☺️). 😒Oops....it is 4:25 am n I’m about to go DIY #ArcticFox my new Pixie.... a DIY accident🥴🤭😬😮😲😳😵😱🤢😡🤬(🙏🏻due to 🤬)🥺😨😥😢😰😭😪🤧😫. As a Nurse, I truly appreciated your approach to inform your viewers that the feet are one of the most absorbing areas on the body. Your statement about chemicals was wonderfully followed up with what you use as an alternative, why...and the little recipe for your foot scrub! Your camera settings seemed perfect!!! Your voice tone was pleasant to listen to & the pace was absolutely perfect too!!! Fantastic job video teaching!!!!!! PS... My Granny will be 90 y/o this July 31st! We (hubby n I) drove to Arizona to see her for the Thanksgiving Holiday. When I had my shoes off in the house and had approached where she was on the couch inviting me to come sit by her (Sappy moment: When she asked me to “come sit right here.”.... She did not pat the cushion beside her...but simply very near her on the same cushion she was on...inviting me into her personal space🥰. I am the OLDEST of now more than 32 Grandchildren, Greats and Great greats!)...... anyway.... I walked around the coffee table and as I sat down beside her, she bent over looking at the carpet. I wondered what she was doing. The she exclaimed, “You have my feet!” To which I replied, “If I have YOUR feet...Who’s feet do you have???” It was a moment of silence as she was processing what I said... then she laughed in a way I had not heard in years!!!! God, is it just me or does anyone else just find feet gross? seriously. She was blessed to have really cute feet (as cute as fett can be lol) and the pedicure is on point. But like men's feet...and even my own feet. they're such weird, unattractive body parts haha oh boy.

Few luxuries more satisfying than giving yourself or a loved one a proper pedicure! I love the variety of steps you included, and we have the same fav top coat ;D A tip I sometimes use is to apply a cuticle removing gel to the cuticles on your toes and even rough calluses before soaking and scrubbing, it can help if you're having a hard time removing things manually. don't use it too often or for too long though. Beautiful vid, thank you!

Ugh I've been putting off giving myself a pedicure and manicure. It's hard to find time to pamper myself because I always feel like there's more important things I could be doing and by the time I'm ready to do my nails I'm always too tired.

When you use liquid latex it's best to not let your nails dry and peel it immediately so nail polish doesn't peel up when removed. I love your videos so much and I really enjoyed this one❤️❤️

You are not supposed to ever cut the eponychium, the skin around the nail, where the cuticle is. And no they are not the same. The eponychium grows around the nail, the cuticle grows on the nail.
Btw, if you're getting hang nails, it's because you're not cutting your toes straight. You should cut or file them to a curve, because it causes hang nails.

hey just a tip for using liquid latex, you actually want to take it off when the polish is still wet, right after you put the top coat on, and that way it won't peel up the polish and it will just work better! Hope this helped!💕 xx

I absolutely hate nails. I had such a hard time with nails that I would bite my fingernails until they didn't come past my fingertips. I didn't like cutting my nails, painting them, looking at them and hitting/scratching them on things make me sick. I hate the noises and everything. I've only recently felt better about them so now I can grow my nails out a little. But I am not used to taking care of nails at all, so I'm trying to watch things like this. I can't wear shoes that aren't tennis shoes because I'm so embarrassed. But when I watch these videos I cringe. I don't know why, I just can't help it.
