Simplify Dollar Value LIFO - CPA FAR Exam

Under the Dollar-Value LIFO method, inventory is measured in dollars and will be adjusted for changing price levels. Often times a price index is required to be used to adjust inventory values. Dollar-value LIFO will often require the use of a price index to adjust the inventory value.

How does 20% turn into 1.2 ??? Thanks in advance

A 20% increase is the same as multiplying the base by 1.2.
So if you took the base x 20%, then add the base, you would get the same answer if you multiples by 1.2. Does that make sense?
