Thanks for this great demo! You're an excellent musician.
Thanks for the video. Great job!
Great demonstration!
Hi Matej! Thank you! These are great! Believe it or not, the audio on this video is done with a Google Pixel phones built in microphone!
NICE!
I returned mine. It couldn’t keep good time.
MORE COWBELL!!! Love this Horse kick item!
We're big fans of it also! :)
if you are playing a show can you go direct to pa with this?
Ive just bought the horse kick pro.. replacing an analogue stomp ive had for some time. Generally its a great product with some instant improvements . firstly, i like the fact that it can be connected in line so you only use up one plug in on your amp. ( i have the same as use in vid here a "Fishman artist ) it is limited in volume however so most the time i connect to a seperate amp at home.
The base on the Cahon and kick is meaty and what ive been after, so love that. One issue im not so happy with is if your wearing lighter shoes you can expect some miss beats as its triggered digitally so i wear a heavier soled boot. Had no probs since. its a bit pricey too so do hope the electronics are up to gigging.
Hi Nick,
Thanks for the awesome feedback. I agree with you completely about the triggering threshold. I imagine they did this so that other items on stage like a drumset, or someone just stomping their feet, wouldn't trigger the samples. Wearing a heavier shoe definitely helps. I have used this pedal for live performance before and had the exact same experience as you.
The new Quantum Loop Pedal (available at www.kingsmusic.ca) has a switch on the side to lock the 'intensity' to 70%. This means that regardless of how soft or hard you hit the box, it always plays the sample at a 70% volume. This doesn't fix the problem of it not firing because of too soft of a hit, but it removes the problem of overly quiet, and overly loud hits, if that's what you want.
For a sample of the quantum loop check out this video by ortegaguitars - czcams.com/video/lkvzltelWv4/video.html

Nick, do you prefer the horsekick over the annalog? And why?? thx
Does the Annalog have the same bassy cajon as the pro or is it a completely different sound?
Thanks for the great demo! Can I ask what is the name of the tune played on the merlin m4 please? Many thanks.
There guys building there own for a 1/4 the price and sounds good! I think I’m going to do that. Nothing else to do during quarantine
I know right? For the price I'm not knocked out. I'd run this to a small bass amp of I were to purchase one or a channel of the p.a.
I saw one (a digital one) that lets you take any sound off your computer and make it a custom stomp sound. Could that be built like a typical stomp box or is that a ton of work?
Yeah, cool idea, but ridiculously overpriced.
you can save a lot of money building your own house
@@Red_Dead_Director do TELL....!.... WERE did you see it? How can we see it too? I'm searching for something like that. These percussion sounds are ok but these guys didn't have the imagination to think that there are a TON of sounds a musician would like to trigger and for various reasons.
Would you be so kind as to tell me the name of the first song you played on the ukulele?
Really happy with your responses - you took the time to answer everyone so that's pretty awesome! I was wishing for a finger snap (I do a hybrid Soul and Flamenco mix), but I read your response to the person looking for a snare. Man - it would be dope if this pedal were equipped with a midi trigger, that way we could just dial in whatever sound we wanted to trigger. Could you see that on the horizon? - David, Studio J by the Bay
not sure if it’s any use but I just watched a video comparing a log jam to Roland SPD:ONE ..the Roland had space for one programmable sound
Surfer Rosa - cool! Thanks Surfer Rosa. I’ll look at that right now actually. Cheers!
Check out the Ortega QuantumLoop. It has 16 built-in sounds with 4 blank slots to upload your own samples via USB. Plus it has a 5-minute looper as well! Might be more up your alley.
Hey, is that "Memphis In The Meantime" at 1:06?
Hi. On the horse kick pro can you line 2 or 3 pedals with the guitar so you can plug everything on one?
Hey there!
I own an ANNAlog, but it's a bit quiet for my purpose: I'm using a Roland Mobile Cube, and even when volume is on max, the kick sound still is not very loud. I wonder whether getting a Horse Kick would solve the problem, as it is an active unit (battery powered)? Can you confirm that an active unit is noticeably louder than a passive one? And is it possible to connect the Horse Kick directly to an 1/8" AUX input? Thank you.
2:56 Don't Fear The Repossesor.
I’ve just bought the Horse Kick Pro and while I love the ability to input my guitar into the Horse Kick Pro and use only one channel etc I’m finding the volume of the Horse Kick Pro wayyyy below my guitar. I was wondering am I missing out on something? I’m putting my guitar through the Horse Kick Pro and then into ‘guitar in’ in my TC Helicon VL3X
Did you ever figure out a solution?
Baz lower the volume of your guitar and bring up the gain on the channel.
How much do y’all charge for these
Whats that thing being played at the end? SOme kind of banjo?
Hi Dale
It's called an M4 (previously called a Merlin) by Seagull guitars. It's sort of like an Appalachian dulcimer. 4 strings tuned D A D D (high two Ds are the same). The frets are diatonic instead of chromatic so you can't really play a wrong note. They're made in Quebec, Canada and are a lot of fun.

3:00 more cowbell
4:28 minutes - what instrument is this?
Great job! What guitar is the dark brown? Does anyone know?
csuvi
The small guitar is the Art & Lutherie Roadhouse with pickup. Made just outside Montreal in beautiful Quebec Canada.
Here's the one without electronics on our site.

King's Music Ltd. Grateful thanks!!! :)
They all seem to entail a lot of extra gear to have to haul around, especially if you are only playing an acoustic guitar
the cajon sounds more natural
Link ...👀👀👀👀
great ! what's the music @ 3:00 ?
Dont fear the reaper sort of
yes of course, thanks.
(I thought it was Neil Young - Rockin' In The Free World)
Haha everytime you said cajón it sounded like cojones
Where I can buy it
Amazon ebay reverb
both horse kick use batery?
jaume llorens
Correct. They can either be powered by 9v battery or the supplied adapter. The Annalog doesn't require any power.
Thanks for your question!
Where is the snare sound? Why have you missed on the snare sound!
Unfortunately there is no snare sound on any of these pedals. The Horsekick Pro features Bass Drum, Cajon Bass (which has a slight snare sound to it), Cowbell, Cabasa, and Tambourine!
I bought one, but it always showed up drunk and late to gigs and slept with my girlfriend, so I fired it.
What kind of psycho plays the stomp pedals with his left foot?! Great demo tho
Makes sense to me but I’m a guitar player, never played drums, and I wouldn’t want the guitar bouncing up and down.
Psycho? That’s a strange description, the left foot makes perfect sense to me
A right handed guitar playing phsyco!
maybe next time turn the guitar down
Hi Wade,
Thanks for the feedback. We are definitely not experts when it comes to youtube video creation and what's going to work best. In fact, this video was shot with a cell phone camera, and the audio is just coming through the little microphone.
