Never been a band that could throw it down like Led Zeppelin. Never will be another. These guys changed the face of Rock and Roll forever. To my mind, even more than The Beatles did. Fifty years later and they still sell like a million recordings every year. Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Elvis. They'll still be playing these songs on the air in another 500 years.

🤣😁🤣 that's Led Zeppelin for you, they always excite and energize. Loved your reaction, you had me giggling with you.
A little LZ every day to lift your spirits and a little PF to calm you back down, been my recipe of life for a very long time, enjoy your journey 💜 😄 💙

The weird sounds in the middle portion of the song come from an instrument called a Theramin. This video shortens that part down a bit from the album version. This was 1969, and experimental sounds were really hip then.
This is one of the best pure rock and roll songs of all time, IMHO.

🙏🏼 Appreciate your lovely reaction Sarah!! - LZ has many facets… as rocking & inventive as Whole Lotta Love is, I highly recommend the journeys that Kashmir and In My Time of Dying can take you on… and for sheer intensity I’m always blown away by Achilles Last Stand and for incredible soul wrenching blues Since I’ve Been Loving You. Enjoy the music - it can set you free! 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼

Zeppelin are a heavily blues influenced style of old style heavy rock. Your reaction just made me smile! - if you feel it, shake it girl! - not bad for 51 years old eh?
Some great suggestions for more Zeppelin here in the comments. My personal fav is ‘Since Ive been loving you’ (studio version , save the live MSG live version until you e heard the stunning beauty of the original) . So much greatness that will make you smile in he Zeppelin pond for you to discover.

As Stairway to Heaven is a favorite of yours, you would be stunned by the tribute performed by Heart - "Stairway to Heaven" (Live at Kennedy Center Honors) with members of Led Zeppelin present being honored. (Heart is legendary sisters Nancy and Ann Wilson) and the son of Led Zeppelin's late drummer plays his Dad's drums.

The instrument making that sound in the middle is called a theremin, invented in the 1920s by a Russian scientist. It’s combined with an oscillator here..

Led Zeppelin was in early on sound "engineering" - placing the drums in one channel, the bass in the other, moving the guitar across from left to right, so on. Life doesn't exist in just one pocket - it's sights and sounds come and go all around us, some speeding past us as we walk slowly past others. Life is so multidimensional. Good sound engineering swims in that sea.
