Random thing to say but I love PvZ lore, the origin of the Dave and Zomboss feud, and how the zombie virus works. It's outside of your usual video groundwork but it'd be cool to see a video about the lore, and while you're at it, you could do the same for Doom. You don't have to take my advice because your content is amazing anyways (hella underrated) but it'd be cool to see
I remember seeing something at the 3Z arena, and maybe my memory is just very hazy, but there were pieces of evidence that Dave and Edgar knew each other and possibly work together, again I may be wrong but it’s what I remember
how does the zombie virus work anyway? if a human gets their brains eaten do they turn to a zombie?? but you can see zomboss’s brains and the normal zombies have no holes in their head.. did zomboss even create the virus or was he infected?
I’d like to see a video about Lore as well.
Especially the whole Neptuna invading hollow earth thing from heroes
On the theory ill make it it probably will take a bit though
If BfN released first, then GW and lastly GW2 in 2019, then the series would be in a much better place right now
Not really because bfn has 11 plant characters and 12 zombie characters if u released GW after that u would go back down to 4 characters. Yeah U could add the new characters to GW and GW2 but that means the fans would expect more characters and also the Electroslide and Snapdragon would be weird if the standard variant was an element like fire or electric
The_SizzleMaster I'm talking about gameplay in general. Considering if BfN released first, they'd probably only have the original 4 in each team, same for GW 1. The new BfN characters probably just wouldn't exist
@@AmalGum001 no sprint would feel like a step backwards if they did that.
That makes sense name wise

it really hurts that there are only 23 characters in bfn. RIP iceberg lettuce. maybe theres hope for you in a possible gw3...
They literally took down BFN when iceberg lettuce was 99.9% done, and this is why I freaking hate EA.
Luckily they prob won't shut down PopCap because PvZ is actually one of their most popular games and that made them a bunch of money, so yeah it ain't stopping for a while.
@@PunKinPi they better make a gw3 that has all the character variants from gw2 and the quicker gameplay from bfn
@@PunKinPi as much as i love pvz games, they are far from the most popular EA games
@@Stickmon_ dude, gw3 better come out, its all i want to happen for the next 5 years
Not anymore since popcap left
I’m still wondering why they trashed Super Brainz’s high jump and replaced it with super thump jump. It was so fun flying around plants and beating them to death
You just answered yourself bro , he was too op , jumping and easily evading shots , now he does the plus gathering ppl for more punches
I never really found Super Brainz in OP in gw2 even when playing against him because even if he does have that super jump he still had to get in close with his target and have the risk of being destroyed
He doesn’t fell like a superhero anymore, just a guy that occasionally jumps with trampoline shoes and breaks his knuckles on the ground
Isn't really fun being 3 shot at full health because I missed 1 shot out of the 2 full clips I had to land to survive, cause he can jump 5 meters in the air at will
@@thedrawingman6344 Might be true if he didn't have a lazer and a fucking energy zpg
The thing that made me the most annoyed is what they did to chomper Yeah he might be a better character but they completely removed his ability to chomp enemies from behind which Turns him from a fun spy type character to a Awkward middle ground character that's just a worse version of pre existing characters
Literally it was probably cause it was too annoying for zombie players
@@captaincrystal3705 they could have fixed him being annoying by giving chomper more mobility and changing his abilities so he didn't have to rely on stunlocks and burrow to get kills
There’s An Upgrade For Him That Makes Him Chomp MUCH Faster And Move Faster When He’s In The Grody Goop, This Ability Makes Him SO OP, That I Get Vanquish Master Most Of The Times I Play As Him In Team Vanquish! There’s Another Upgrade That Make The Grody Goop Last Twice As Long Which Can Be A BIG Difference!
Honestly? I like that it's gone. I hate playing Chomper in Gw2 and accidently chomping a zombie when i didn't want to. They shouldn've made it a different weapon but i guess what bfn did works too.
@@SSADO- should have been a 4th special ability that maybe could be triggered by the aim button? That would have made chomper a bit better and would have prevented you from accidentally eating those weakass zombies that slow you down for a few seconds unnecessairly
Plant re-designs in a nutshell
Sunflower, Peashooter, Corn and Chomper: pretty adorable ngl
Cactus: You can tell what gender i am now
Citron and Rose: MY EYES!!!!

@@ImaGreenBoi Cactus has always been a she. Even in her first appearance in PvZ 1 her almanac entry read: "She's prickly, sure, but Cactus' spikes belie a spongy heart filled with love and goodwill."
I honestly prefer BFN citron’s design, just don’t take off the customizations, please don’t… and GW2 Rose looks about 2 trillion times better than BFN rose.
@@JubbJubb_ eh, bfn citron looks clean, but i prefer GW design, it's more detailed
It's hard to believe that they literally just shadow dropped this game out of nowhere after the massive buildups the previous 2 GW games had. It just straight up happened with no fanfare and it was a flop because of it.
Ong pretty much had to listen to the fans and play test some more, I like the class roles alot but I feel like popcap could've looked to TF2 for class roles
@@SunnyyDayzz fun fact: the original garden warfare game was inspired by team fortress 2 but nah let’s go copy overwatch
Something I never understood about this game is that they introduced Nightcap as a character, yet used a different character than the one from PvZ Heroes, which has the exact same name, a very similar design, and the exact same shtick of “ninja mushroom”. I simply don’t get why they didn’t use this design they already had, especially since I like it better for no substantial reason.
The old PVZ3 even refers to both designs as the same character.
@@JustCallMeHeavy That's really odd because Night Cap from PvZH is male and bfn Night Cap is female
@@larrydaweasel3213 Actually later on, the creator of the plant has stated that Nightcap is genderfluid?

Man that video was good
I want to point out that your editing has improved quite a lot! I discovered your channel thanks to the GW1 video, and I have been subscribed ever since! Your skills have developed quite a lot since!
Seeing the game lose support when things like ops phase 3, 5 other characters and a truck load of legendary upgrades would have been added was really sad I was looking so damn forward for a playable gargantuar and the boring ops experience of bfn turning into a strategy tower defence like Mann vs machine in tf2 and now the game has gone through mediocre strides to become popular again with it now free for PlayStation 4 and 5 for a month and then Jesus they scrapped an entirely different pvz game to get switch bfn and I just miss pvz
Funny that how I got into it because it free. I am enjoying myself with the game but I never played garden warfare. How ever I might try pvz gw2 it pretty cheap on the ps4 now
@@queenpen1398 gw2 is pretty fun alot of people still play it too
They scrapped a game?
Yeah it was either that new game or bfn on switch and they chose bfn switch
Totally agree, for every 30 changes they make, about 2 of them are good.
I understand people who say they prefer bfn but they changed or removed most of the best features and kept most of the bad ones
I like this game. It’s just fun to level up characters. Feels like they should add more maps and finish the swarm classes.
I'd be truly optimistic if they "finished" this game with more swarm classes, perhaps variants, and more unique feel compared to Overwatch and such.
I hate leveling up Charakters but I love the game
And don't charge 500,000 coins for them.
We need a GW3 that brings back variants and lets us migrate our characters over, like GW2 did.

I'd be happy with a gw2 like game with gw1 maps, the maps are the main reason i still play gw1
I recently started playing Garden Warfare. Then moved to Garden Warfare 2. But stopped at BFN.
I wanted to know if others felt the same way. Glad I'm not alone. Lol.
Though it does suck that BFN ended up being a disappointment. Definitely subscribed for more content though.
I'm also happy to see that Garden Warfare 2 is still populated! For PS4 anyway.
Don't worry Xbox is still very active
I actually kind of like bfn but I had a blast playing gw 1 and 2

@@greg-fq6tn GW2 is still active.
However, do be careful. People with cheats do tend to come out every now and then. There was once a cheater who did not play a zombie or plant. He played a specific "vehicle" type of character that can only be played in Infinity Time.
I know you don't know what it is but it's like a Survival type of mode. And the vehicle contains a lot of power and health, making it incredibly strong. Thing is, the vehicle is to be controlled by a player and can only fight Bots. So seeing it in a public lobby is, well. Cheating. Lol.
The good news is you can play Multiplayer levels and get coins/ XP, for your characters while buying extra characters in Bots only. So essentially you can play solo, or with a friend if y'all are super bored.
It's a good time killer for 2 hours. More if you get attached to the game.
Gw2 is fine but BFN is going to die.
This might just be me, But as a small portion of people, I honestly Like Battle For NeighborVille. And yes I have played the previous Garden Warfare Games. I understand what is bad and such but in full honesty, I think the game is great. I know it's not as good as the other ones and they tried a few things that were new. But I still consider this game to be at minimum a decent Garden Warfare Experience. And at the end of the day it is my opinion. I think all the games are great. And still looking forward to the next entry of this wonderful 3rd person shooter series.
I still don’t understand why they didn’t bring back the torchwood and hover goat
The trilogy makes me think of Banjo Kazooie for some reason. First two considered classics, while the "third" game isn't that good.
One of the worst things BFN did was my boy engineer. Who got HEAVILY changed in BFN, and for the worse. A character I loved to play with their mixed bag and aggressive playstyle with a occasional defensive ability. Turned into someone who literally stands by an automatic turret all day, shooting down a choke point without any real need to aim, who never needs to reload thanks to said turret….yeah…
Oh, and thanks pop cap for making his stun now be able to linger and home in onto targets because that is *fun*
I love how they made him more campy to play over the games
That turret is op I swear it’s even stronger than the manual ones
Hey, they need a class for people like me who suck at online PvP!
@@watermelongaming3698 no worries, they had space cadet in that case : D
Ngl I genuinely hate the redesigns, the garden warfare games had pretty much same art style as the OG pvz games just in 3d and it looked great! Pvz already had a great art style but then completely changed it for this game for no reason! Most of the characters completely lost all the charm and appeal they had.
What? The og games looked cartoonish, while the gw games looked hyperrealistic.
Meh, GW fanboys, Super Brainz definitelly looks better here, he looks like a plastic chinese toy in GW
@@doctahwahwee5032 Thank you
I like the original Pvz Gw design but the pvz Gw2 gameplay is better
I’m half and half when it comes to the redesigns. There’s some characters I think look better in BFN than GW and some that look better in GW than BFN.
I personally think Imp, Enginner, Cactus an Rose look better in BFN.
But I think every single browncoat, Footsoldier, Allstar and Deadbeard look better in GW.
Any character I haven’t mentioned I believe looks decent in either design.
Gw2 was one of my favourite games of all time. Obviously I got bfn the day it came out and I only began to realise how bad it was in about a month because of how there were no variants. The only fun me and my friends could get from this game in a month was going acorn and stomping the entire lobby with a max power stump
BFN in my opinion was an amazing game, lots of missions to keep you busy, acorn and space cadet were so fun with friends, new customization for the upgrades, and overall lots to do. But you pull up incredible points that me loving this game can even back up. The missions do get repetitive but every mission is different. The changes with giddy park are cool but the stickers are the worst. The feel isn’t that good as gw2 but I want it to feel the same or even better. If only ea were to come back to this game and fix everything the community has to say would make a great turn. I 100% agree with everything you have stated but I don’t want to accept it because I have had way to much fun on bfn for that small period of time. Hope everything goes well to the viewer reading this and have a wonderful day or night.

Loving the inclusion of the depressing funeral music during the campaign demos.
Even though this game made really poor changes i can't hate this game I find it fun and come back to it often still gw2 will always be better
True, I don’t think it’s bad, it has flaws but it’s still fun and interesting.
To me, if bfn had enough time as gw2, and just as much or more updates as both gw games, balancing Issues and people just gave it more of a chance, it could’ve been better. Not gw better, but PvZ better.
100% agree this basically sums up my feelings for bfn
PVZGW 1-2 were in my opinion the perfect example how to be inspired by a game (tf2) but not being a cheap copy but instead becoming unique addition to the genre .
Neighborville is inspired by overwatch and overwatch learned the wrong lessons from tf2 . Neighborville exist because the business model of overwatch was is what EA wanted . but by doing that . they took everything unique about PVZGW and made it a cheap copy . what is sad . because PVZGW was great and standed on it own .
not saying Neighborville was 100% bad but i miss PVZGW .
I feel the best thing about the multiplayer were the upgrades since it can give a lot of different playstyles.
For example: you can run a health upgrade and nutty feedback on acorn to make a more solo play style. Or you can run upgrades to make the oak’s power increase.
You can do that in gw2 too
@@And20s but way better
I think there are things to praise about BFN. Maps were decent all around: there's no amazing or horrendous ones. Single player was also solid. Art style was very fun and the cosmetics were really good, and the switch version removing microtransactions and in general polishinga few things was also nice.. But yeah change for the sake of change isn't something I think is a good step for any series to take. No varients ( biggest problem in my opinion ) makes the game get stale even quicker than the first 2 games. Classifying each character, while giving them purposes, means all the characters no longer have varied playstyles: for example, you can no longer play Captain Deadbeard as a close range characters due to his rubbish shotgun or Sunflower as an offensive character due to the HEAVY emphasis on her supper abilities ( which is broken ). The art style, is fun as I said before, but I still actually think GW1 looks the best: less is more ( also the characters... some look as good and some much worse, but none better to me ). Microtransactions are still way too prominent ( on consoles and pc at least ). So all in all, I'd give it like a 5/10 but it's nowhere near as good as the other 2 games in my opinion
I will say though, Snapdragon I adore and will always be sad it's only in this game
I remember playing garden warfare 2 with my friend all of the time, always playing garden/graveyards ops, and always using electro peashooter at whatever chance I had. It's a real shame they decided to get rid of the variants, as I loved them and their unique playstyles. Currently as I'm revisiting Gw2 (and starting over because my previous progress didn't save), I'm having a lot of fun with it and remember how fun it was to get all of the variants and use their unique playstyles, and when I started battle for neighborville I was very shocked to see that they removed the variants. Removing the variants severely limits the game and makes it a lot less fun (as said in the video. Man I miss electro peashooter.
The performance of this game honestly saddens me, not even because I thought it was better than the first two or anything. It wasn’t really a great game, but the fact that it did SO awful gives us very little chance of ever seeing ANOTHER game within the Garden Warfare style of gameplay.
Your coverage of Plants Vs Zombies is truly incredible. So entertaining! More pvz videos please!
Why can't EA sell their dormant IPs, if they don't plan on making another 3D PvZ shooter then let someone else.
The legendary costumes should of instead been variants I mean just imagine how sick a crystal snap dragon would be as a variant
This game had so much potential, the lobby, the characters and the new crisp artstyle (apart from the citron and other reskins) looks good, if this was like an overhaul of gw2 but still had the gw2 gameplay it would be awesome

Friendly advice Gw2 is more better if you like and experience where you like given a certain character class or varients made by the developers to play while bfn is more like given the material to play the character how you want to play the character using the upgrades and possibly creating variants along the way. gw2 is just amazing
(edit: now i look back at my comment, and i think to myself, this is BS, gw1 is better)
GW1 was the best PvZ shooter. BFN is garbage. GW2 was good, but the game had balance issues. For example, in a 1v1, it felt like the player with the stronger character would win the fight, not the better player. That kinda ruined GW2 for me, but I'd say I fairly enjoyed it. How the heck BFN feels like an improvement to GW1? It just so unplayably clunky.
@@eliassideris2037 I think the unbalancing is what made it fun though, it gives you something else to think about when in combat and makes it so you really have to think about your move, and who to go for, it was just so chaotic and I loved it, however

I love PVZ it’s self. From first coming to America I would play PVZ on my cousins DS. Then to buying their comics and other PVZ games. This will forever be my childhood, thank you Popcap!
Haha, this was all critique from a CONSOLE point of view as well... Now let me tell you about how bad it was on PC...
The PvZ series INCLUDING the Garden Warfare games were aimed towards children. GW1 and GW2 were already pretty unpopular on PC, considering they had pretty high graphics that were way too much to handle for a cheap laptop or PC (plus, consoles are just much more popular among children). This means that the only players were either children that had good money from their parents, or proper gamers who were old enough to get their own expensive stuff. Of course, this is the main reason that the PC playerbase for all games has been lacking SEVERELY compared to console (even when GW2 was still super popular and booming, you could only find games on Turf Takeover because there were that little players). This issue only became worse for PC in BfN... The engine and performance were TERRIBLY optimized. On the lowest settings, you could barely squeeze 40-50 FPS assuming that you had a solid mid-end PC. (I have a pretty expensive laptop that runs most games fine including GW2 on a smooth 60 fps, yet with BfN, my laptop always struggled). Sometimes you would play the game, and you'd have this weird stutter issue that was unfixable as far as I'm concerned. There'd be times where I had to limit myself to only campaign/ single player because I'd have this weird stutter for a week or so, making the game unplayable, only for it to miraculously disappear for a week or two, finally making multiplayer playable for a little while. I've searched far and wide on discords and subreddits, and a lot of people had to same issue yet they all had no idea how to fix it. My friend bought the game for 40 damn dollars or whatever it was worth during founders edition, and he couldn't even fit a single hour into the game because of this stutter that never went away for him. Granted, he had a cheaper laptop than me, but he ran GW2 perfectly just like I could. PC was absolutely torturous to play not only for me, but I'm sure a lot of people who don't have a $2K+ setup.
Combine this with other bad aspects of the game, and you could BARELY find a multiplayer match a good 3-4 months (ONLY) in the games lifespan. At least on console, you can STILL find games if you try hard enough. On PC, you just get loaded up with 2 other new players who were unlucky enough to buy the game right as it died, and then the rest of the players are AI with perfect aim and are just not at all fun to play against.
I just want to say, as a PS4 player who picked up BFN last month because it was free and has been playing it for almost 2 weeks now, there seems to be a fairly healthy population of players all around. Also, Turf Takeover matches are completely full around 85% of the time and matchmaking is fast.

A example: They seriously went from tf2 weapon system to overwatch class system.
Great video. I did get all the characters to max level in BfN, which was a chore for sure, especially after doing so in GW and GW2 where it never felt like a grind. Those Grandmaster levels they added really made it a slog.
GW2 is my favorite of the 3 games, and BfN my least favorite. I got in on Founders day one and while my first impressions were largely positive about the game's future, despite how buggy and broken things were, the game never reached that potential and apparently it sold poorly compared to GW and GW2.
I still play all 3 games, but GW2 far and away the most. We need an actual GW3 that keeps some of BfN's better ideas (like overheat indicators on the HUD), but returns to what we love about GW and GW2. Your video's subtitle: 'Change for the sake of change' is spot on, and it's why so many people are still upset about BfN and how it just didn't work out well. I don't hate the game, but it pales in comparison to GW and GW2.
i watched your every garden warfare video and it was amazing keep it up
Unrelated, but something I always thought about for a potential BfN sequel, would to bring back variants in a different way. Bring them back in the form of side-grade weapons, but make them more unique. More similar to tf2 side-grades, some of these alt weapons would be recreations of the more unique variants from GW2 and GW. Variants like Nec Rose, Plumber, Z7, Law Pea, Legends, Super Commando, etc. Variants with gimmicks would come back in these alt weapons, along with new weapons which would be original in this hypothetical game, though the more bland variants, like variants that gain a certain elemental effect, wouldn't be make it back (since kind of want naturally elemental classes like snapdragon to actually have purpose). The primary reason as to why I would like variants to be replaced with alt weapons, is because I really like the costume feature in BfN, and I want that to still be a thing. A good compromise I thought for those who liked the designs of the old variants, would be to have all the old variants to come back as complete recreations of their designs, in the form of costumes. I really like the upgrade system, but I don't like that it replaced variants. I think we could keep the same upgrade system, but expand it. You could have upgrades for alt weapons, the base character, and ability upgrades (obviously, new alt abilities would be brought back, something that I cant forgive BfN for removing).
With the Character Varients being removed and replaced by the... skills? Abilities? Perks? Whatever they were, you could no longer tell at glance what sort of fight you were about to take part in, three peashooters could look identical, and one could set me on fire, one could vamp my health away and one would just, pick the others up immediately after they downed... it just, confused everything so much worse than just overcovering cosmetics the prior games may have had.
Man, GW1 was so much fun, you have no idea how many days I spent just playing it on my PS3 because I had nothing else to.
This game has been living with me literally. I was a diehard pvz fan ever since i was 6 until i was 11. Ive always came back to the franchise every year atleast once after my diehard phase ended. Rest in peace to one of my favorite game series. U will be very missed
All i wanted was more variants new classes new maps remastered maps and expanding the backyard
It's just so sad. They could've made it amazing if they kept variants. Imagine Ice Snapdragon, Acorn and Space Cadet Variants building fortresses with all sorts of abilities, more Imp Variants with more Z-Mechs, and of course the playable spawnables which is something I personally have always wanted. Imagine being able to customize a variety of abilities for each of the variants. It had so much potential, but they tried to make it after Overwatch and not Garden Warfare. They could seriously fix it, which I would be optimistic about after games like "No Mans Sky" made enormous comebacks after a terrible launch, but TMK they've stopped updating it, and left it to die :(
In a happier note, nice PFP!
I would absolutely love to see another PVZ GW game with more variants and returning variants and characters
I have hopes that PopCap will make a REAL successor to GW2 and actually be GW3. And lemme just say real quick, I've been playing a massive amount of GW2 lately, I played it back when it released and come back to it periodically, but of all the games I've played, The Backyard Battleground is THE best hub world I've ever experienced. Simply the accessibility to the other sides' base, the way thing can spiral out of control, and the simplicity. So detailed too
Bro the editing in this is great!
I feel like an Overwatch-like PvZ shooter could work if they designed classes from the ground up and didn’t mainly just modify pre-existing ones from GW2. It obviously wouldn’t be “unique”, but it could work and be fun. Case in point, I think a lot of the new classes and ideas are awesome and it’s a shame they had to debut in an unsuccessful game.
I do miss the varients, but I do have a bit of fun playing it, at times.
Such a great series (your vids lol) (and garden warfares ofc)
Very good videos from you keep on going👍
i just want a gw3. varients and the sticker packs was so fun. id hope theyd bring all the characters plus some more and plenty of varients for each of them. i also want more single player exploration in the hub. giddy park just doesnt do it. and give us the old art style back! knowing ea they dont care and will just do whatever gets them money. i wish this game was bought by a company with more passion.
Tbh if they make a gw3 itd redeem it tho tbh, a lot of ppl dont even know bfn existed because the marketing was a joke lol and the garden warfare name will sell any day
I swear he's evolving with his analyses of games.
Keep up the great content 👍
The sprinting mechanic is what killed it for me. The fact that you couldn’t shoot or use your abilities while running was a terrible design choice. You were constantly switching between fast and slow gameplay, it just felt bad. Especially for a Sunflower main like myself, trying desperately to keep my heal beam hooked up to my sprinting teammate while I myself am forced to walk…
Yeah I didnt mind bfn but sprinting was the worst that came from it. Not only did it butcher alot of characters (peashooter, sunflower and scientist to name a few) but most combat was boring and unsatisfying if the opponent would just sprint away or attempt to sprint away. Plus garden warfare (intended or not) had really unique momentum based movement which is pretty much void in bfn due to the addition of sprinting as well as the very flat maps.
still like the first game the most, it was just perfect, not to many chars, good maps and fun combat.
You’re awesome!!! And so was this review :) it was so fucking good.
13:50 I was so focused on what u were saying that I didn't even realise the screen fade until it fully dissappeared😂
Man i just got again gw2 as i lost my old account and i kinda dont wanna wait for like 4 months to get hovergoat and torchwood again i had a lot of stuff and i am wondering shall i buy the torchwood and goat thing for 11$?
I liked the classic style of gw2 and they should add the boss mode in from gw1 into bfn it would be so cool
if the devs find a way to mix the good traits of BFN and the good traits of GW2 they could possibly make the best shooter to ever exist
nice intro music, we love the mausoleum
You know it kinda hurts to hear these harsh words addressed to bfn. I really love the game and am having much fun with it. Is it better than gw2? No. But after hundreds of hours on that game i am happy to have something new. Still love both games tho,
i agree!
You're telling me that soldier zombot isn't a newcomer?
Opportunity Missed.
Robo Zombie?
This series is cool I hope that you keep it up 👍

the more i played bfn, the more i felt what you were saying. there are some characters i enjoy a lot more here tho, like super brainz and chomper, but theres just a lot that fails compared to gw2, especially as i play it more. should gw3 drop, they just need to leave in some small QoL stuff, like sprinting and walking through allies. those are changes that i really enjoy more than stuff in gw2, even if it seems small.
I'm sure when the license gets close to expiring they'll make a new game and hopefully it'll end up being a garden warfare 3
I can definitely understand where you're coming from with all of this, and I definitely agree with most of it. The single player campaign really should have had more diversity, and it did get stale after a while. But, I'll be honest, I had so much fucking fun with this game when I played it for the switch. I can't speak for the other ports, but bfn on the switch was so charming and fun. I only ever played offline, and even then, I had so much fun with the game. The gameplay style is really fun, and the fact you can only play with base classes, honestly makes the game better. It feels like bfn should be something that someone plays before jumping into gw2, (if you just never sprint, because it's jarring not being able to do that in gw2.) Because you don't have so many extra options, and you have to go with just the base classes. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I prefer it this way, but I really feel that it's so telling that the base character classes are just kinda throw away parts of the game, when as soon as you get the game, you're gifted with a character pack. Having to play with actually characters instead of sub characters, is honestly a nice touch, it makes the game feel more unique. But, as you said, the variants are pretty much the only unique part of the garden Warfare games.
Though, I still think at the end of the day, this game really should have been updated more. More classes, more game modes and maybe even maps. This game had a lot of potential, and though it's still enjoyable without it, it still didn't reach it.
All in all, I'd still reccomend it. Only on the switch, and half because it's really fun being able to play it on the go, but this game is still great, and I had a lot of fun playing it.
"the imp looks like a bean" 😂
