    It's bullshit that he lost his voice! Listen to his "I'm Yours" album. He was over 18 when he recorded it and his voice had already changed. The notes he hit were phenomenal!! Frankie was a major talent and should have been bigger than anyone at that time. Mad respect for this musical genius!!

    Its sad bc he really needed guidance. He was a soul that needed someone to talk authority over his life. He needed a parent figure. He had to be in a lot of pain bc of all the drug use. Those kind of people are fragile, but essential to life. At least I believe. Rest well Frankie. You reached even us born in the 90s.

He told me that in the barracks several nights, they would get a bottle of Scotch ever now and then and Frankie would sing for the soldiers. They all thought he was a great guy and great singer. But since you think they should do a movie just about him they should include the rest of the teenagers after they split from Frankie. We get to see through their eyes what they went through I know they were heated when they were cut from the group & that Frankie was the guy they wanted.

Tony Braxton got such low royalties off her fist few albums she had to file BK. The emotions were never paid their royalties for boogie wonderland because they signed as a part of EWF and EWF kept the $$$. Motown artists got robbed outside of Smokey, Marvin and Diana. Some died broke despite having massive hits because Barry’s writers I e Motown owned the publishing rights. The funk brothers..I e Motown played the music..so nobody wrote their own sings. Perfect hustle. Petey Green was right when he called Barry Gordy a pimp. The music business is more dirty and corrupt than the sex industry.

That means doing breathing exercises keeping your vocal chords soft because if hard you have to have surgery. Then along with the drugs on top of it didn’t help. That’s a lot for a normal mentally healthy person to deal with. Take a immature kid, no father in his life, mom was ill, snake oil managers, shady adults, then he leaves the teenagers so nobody had his back, he had no shot to come out of that.

    Having public success before you're even done with puberty.... I can't think of a sharper double-edged sword. The public wants you to be ageless and maintain the cuteness of a kid... When you're transformed into an adult, unless you're drop-dead gorgeous, it's going to be damn hard maintaining celebrity as a relevant and successful star. And that's precisely the seat of depression for so many former 'child stars' .... They ultimately transform into normal everyday people. And they learn the key to their success had an expiration date. That must be heartbreaking!

That is such crap. I have dated several men in my life, and nearly everyone confided their early sex encounters were between ages 13 and 15! Most said the woman was older, occasionally several years older, and that it was the best thing that ever happened to them...😊....So what!? My first boyfriend was 18 and I was 14..,the nicest, most respectful guy...my parents approved. what they did to Frankie was a shame, but with Elvis they did it legally, with a Dr. who gave him Rx's and the same with Michael Jackson....just those 3 was such a loss. When does it stop...fast forward to 2015 and it still happens. I loved Frankie's music. Such a gr8 voice, at least we can still hear his songs and travel back in time...PTL

So he was rip off out of lots of money that he or his wife should have gotten royalties for all of them songs on his Greatest Hits .And Well to me his songs were hits. Of course I may not know much about yesterday but it all applies the
    Same many singers or performers were given drugs by managers, people in music industry, “friends"...and sadly got addicted while those measles smile all the way to the bank. Sure they rip off black musician so badly too. Song writers never given rights or money to they own songs, songs taken from blacks groups and given to white groups, look they always did us badly. But he was so young even to be involved in drugs...I felt managers or whatever got him hook so young and basically took his royalties and money. Died black and broke.

    • @monmixer
      @monmixer Před 9 lety +2

      Yes it happened to many. not just young black musicians. It still happens today. most up and coming entertainers go to school for business management which also includes entertainment management. so sad to see some one so young die. especially some one as special as he was. He made his first mistake when he left the group. all down hill from there.
