I lived in Portland for 4 years and never got bored. I even surfed and snow skiied on the same day......in the summer! If you have limited time there, both Mt Rainier and Olympic National Parks are actually closer to Portland than Crater Lake, even though they're in Washington State. I would also highly recommend riding the aeriel tram at the South Waterfront, and touring the submarine and taking a jet boat ride at the OMSI.
Ahh I’m going to Portland today!! This video definitely helped me figure out where to go and eased my anxiety 🤧✨
Yay!! Have fun! thanks for watching :)
Really appreciated this! From the DC area as well and have been thinking about planning a solo trip to Portland
We moved to the Portland area as Covid started which kept us from going out much. Glad to see your video. We will use it as our guide this spring and summer. Very well done. So much to see and enjoy out here. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Oh I highly recommend checking it out next time! Some of the most beautiful places I’ve seen 😍 thanks for watching! :)
Im going next month! So this will help!
So glad! Thanks for watching :)
"I dressed like a 4 yr old boy" comment cracked me up
Thanks for the video. Quite good. Why did you think it was funny to see people meditating at the Japanese Garden ? It is a most Zen place. Many gardens like this in Japan are part of Zen temples.
Crater Lake is like 4 freakin hours away!! Seattle is literally closer
Heads up: Edward Cullen's house is in NW Portland.
How is the weather in mid November?
What kind of shoes did you wear to hike? I don't like nature either LOL but I'm going next month!
I actually have a pair of real hiking boots! They definitely came in handy but a pair of sneakers would honestly be fine too! They might get a little dusty on the trails. Hiking boots do offer a little more support when things get kind of rough on a path. Hope you have a great trip!! 😁
@@katieblake okay thank you for your help!!
I’m planning a trip to Portland mid March. Do you happen to know what are the best places to visit with my pregnant wife (should be around five month around that time) and my four year old?
From Portland, visit screen door for breakfast. They have two locations. One in downtown Portland and one in south east Portland. Walk Hawthorne street shops (also in south east Portland). Go to the rose gardens and Japanese gardens! You can drive up hill to parking lots. Fairly easy walking from that point on. Pittock mansion is a must do and easy access by driving up to parking lot as well. Go to salt and straw for ice cream 100%. I also tell a lot of people from out of state to go to Pips Donuts. Voo doo donuts is a bigger tourist place to go but has dropped in quality a lot over the years due to it. Pips is so good and it’s in south east Portland as well. Always got to make a stop at burgerville as well. Really good seasonal milk shakes. Last I would suggest going to historic Columbia highway and going to the main lookout on it! Also a really cool fish hatchery near there as well.
@@kennethhaskett3322 screen door is technically located in ne. 24th and e burnside, on the north side of the street.
Would you ever move near portland? I’m from DC too and considering the move to a suburb around there
Best part about Portland: Leaving Portland
Just curious as to what camera you use?
Cannon m50 :)
Thinking of moving to Portland thanks! 😊
Thanks for watching! :)
Hey cutie pie😏🌹

The VERY BEST thing to do is NOT GO TO PORTLAND!
🤣🤣🤣
Why?
Yes thank you. I have been watching videos of the place and definitely nothing exciting to go for. Everything I have watched from every video are things I can find at my backyard. I live in California.
Why are you wearing a mask outside in the wilderness? Bizarre.
The first thing you should do in Portland is gtfo of portland. That place is gross.
stop saying the word like,,,,terrible habit!
Goto Ptown and show your kids how to buy street fetty and poop on the sidewalk. Its all the rage!
