- There were two big MPV launches last year - Mahindra's 'shark inspired' Marazzo and Maruti's second-generation Ertiga. Both proved very capable but we wanted to see which was best. To do that, Renuka Kirpalani brought along our last MPV comparison test winner from a few years ago - the Renault Lodgy, in Stepway guise - to see which is best.

You did good by not involving Innova, because it is in an entirely different class of budget. If you have the budget to buy an Innova, you wouldn't even consider these 3 options.
Best looking exterior is Ertiga, but best car in this comparison is definitely MARAZZO
Best of Ertiga is ,it's available in petrol version
But in safety Marazzo is ahead n has got 4-star ncap
Dost New ertiga also Got 4star Ncap rating.

Marazzo has got the best and powerful engine in this segment
Most powerful, yes. But as the review showed, the Lodgy has the better, more performing engine. The Lodgy engine is only let down by poor gearing

Ertiga is best ertiga has best seating with higher comfort than other cars and the interior looks so much luxurious than other cars..
Renuka is one of better auto journalist and the reviews are mostly crisp and summarises the points well

lodgy is a fantastic option the 110bhp on highways is an excellent mpv with great suspension

To be very honest, I have driven all three MPV s & I would like to say, In terms of value for money, Practicality, refinement, ride quality and space, new Ertiga is really so impressive, but built quality and safety must be improved.
Marrazo is also very roomy, stylish and specious MPV but steering response is not as good as Ertiga, but built quality is better then Ertiga.
Coming to Lodgy, its become outdated, it feels like you are driving very heavy vehicle, but to be very honest, road grip of lodgy is realy best as I felt, but cabin is not at all isolated due to least engine refinement.
I would suggest, Ertiga is best and value for money option as now it is also launched with more powerful 1.5 liter engine just paying 50k extra.

Bad styling and a bit heavy
Marrazzo will be a super hit product if they reduce each variant by 1 lakh...its overpriced except their M2 variant.However Ertiga is cleverly priced.

Taking the aspects of safety and refined engine and premium interiors. Should go for MARAZZO. If the safety aspects are not a problem for the user, the he/she can go for ertiga. SAFETY FIRST!!!

*Ertiga is more comfortable, practical than other two and holds a very great price as well*
Buy lodgy: for silent engine, good highway driving, fuel efficiency, good suspension and comfort for co passengers..
Buy marazzo: for upmarket interiors, safety, better space.
Buy Ertiga: for trouble free ownership, good resale value.

sound insulation of lodgy is superb, and the suspension is very fantastico,. I Own one and the drive on the national highway is like Butter. cruise control takes mileage To greater figures.

I have Lodgy with 1.2 TCe petrol engine and is a very good car. However new 1.3 TCe engine is coming with 130 (or 150 hp for Duster).
Diesel is not as quiet, reliable or nice to drive as petrol + the enviromental aspect..
Lodgy needs a new generation. It is so outdatet because it comes from Dacia automaker, not Renault at it is just rebadged Dacia.
However global sales of Renault-Nissan alliance are growing so there is a chance low cost models like Lodgy get more tech.

The piano black plastic which the centre of the morazzo will stratch very soon. The faux wood is much better. Also the cabin of ertiga is more minimilistic which is my taste tbh

This Mahindra since long time but not trying less to catch the MPV market or TOYOTA MPV reputation,at first they tried with quanto,xylo mini xylo now Marazzo then....? But I think that by not duplication, they will find out some new and unique products.

My budget is 15 lacs. I am confused between Ertiga Zdi + 1.5 D and Marazzo M6. I am leaving in Jamnagar Gujarat and having sales and service centers of Mahindra and Maruti.
Lodgy is still in the segement?. I am suprised.

Overall marazzo is the most value for money of d lot..one doesn't want a mpv which drives like a car but a mpv which drives like a suv.
