Ukraine lost long ago. It's like a dead body kept on life support and imagining for 2 years that it's still alive. Well, 500,000 men were still alive and a million men were not permanently injured, but the war on Russia was lost anyway. That is how the fault and the guilt and the foolishness of 'the west' looks like.

The invasion has caused the West to rearm, NATO expansion, killed hundreds of thousands ethnic Russians, damaged Russian economy, severely damaged Russian Military, guaranteed Ukraine will always be a hostile neighbor and greatly embarrassed Russian on the Global stage.

100.000 french soldiers died in Crimea in 1855. Thus Napoleon III most probably lost 300.000 men because of this war against Russia, which had strictly no interest for France. No interest to come to the rescue of the Ottoman empire. 15 years later, in 1870 Napoleon III was badly defeated by Germany. German army was strong of 462.000 troopers and
56.000 horsemen. France had only 230.000 troopers and 25.000 horsemen. Those 300.000 Napoleon III lost in Crimea would have made an excellent reserve force, and maybe change the outcoming of this war. So Napoleon III lost the real war, because he lost too many forces in a useless war against Russia. The following 3rd republic promoted a law according to which nobody with the name "Napoleon" could participate in politics in France. However, it seems Macron bypassed this law, and Napoleon came back under the name of Macron. So, if history repeats itself, we will loose so many soldiers in Ukraine, for a senseless project, and then we will badly loose a future war against a real ennemy.

Just to remember regarding your odd statement of "he lost the real war", it was Napoleon III who attacked Germany. Before doing so he tried everything to convince the other European nations to join him, but none of them did and in contrast told him that they cannot see any reason why they should attack Germany. At that time all of Europe was still happy that they had managed to throw the french occupiers out of their countries.

Prussia, not Germany, won the Franco-Prussian War because of Prussian rail networks and mobilization efficiency. Not manpower. The French had superior weaponry and manpower on the whole, but could not concentrate them at the front or mobilize them in time. Another 300,000 men would have made no difference.

I think you military analyzers got it all wrong. You assume Russia is trying to gain territory and then explain the tactics of how this is achieved. "Russians try to capture the fields between X and Y to cut off road Z...", etc. I think they are just destroying troops and weapons wherever they can, without a tactical plan. Only when Kiev is withdrawing do they advance and 'capture' territory because they need to advance to continue the destruction of troops and weapons. And the strategy works brilliantly. Kiev demilitarized, and as a bonus the entire NATO demilitarized!

    • @MnemonicCarrier
      @MnemonicCarrier Před 16 dny +24

The French like to think. Descartes said, Cogito ergo sum. "I think therefore I am." The thinking alone is enough for French. Military-wise, Napoleon routed by the Russians. Then routed at Waterloo by the English. French lost to Prussia in 1870, to Germans in First World War (until bailed out by Yanks), lost Second World War (maginot line) and were occupied by Nazi Germany. They lost in Indochina (Vietnam), to be replaced by US (who, following in French footsteps, also then went on to lose once and for all). In 1962, France lost war against Algeria. And now it has pulled out of Burkina Faso, Mali and, in the past month, Niger. Not an impressive record.

There has been a multifold increase in the production of weapons and ammunition in Russia since the outbreak of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev in 2022, the head of the defense conglomerate Rostec has said.
"Compared to 2022, the production and refurbishment of tanks at our factories increased by three-and-a-half times, and of lightly armored vehicles by three times,” the Rostec chief said.
The manufacture of self-propelled artillery pieces has increased tenfold, while 14 times more towed guns are being produced, and the production of multiple rocket launch systems (MLRS) has doubled.
The output of ammunition rounds for tanks and infantry fighting vehicles increased by 900%, artillery shells by 600%, and munitions for MLRS by 800%. Three times as many unguided rockets for heavy flamethrower systems are being produced, Chemezov said.
According to the Rostec chief, new types of equipment have also been introduced during the conflict, such as TOS-2 heavy flamethrower systems, which are capable of firing munitions with thermobaric warheads and are “widely used in the area of the military operation.” Zemledeliye remote mine-laying systems are also being produced, as well as Krasnopol guided shells, Kub loitering munitions, and guided missiles for UAVs.
Rostec is also working with JSC Tactical Missiles Corporation (KTRV) to equip standard aviation bombs with gliding modules and guidance systems, he said.
The Washington Post reported in March that the use of glide bombs, which can travel long distances and have high precision, has “dramatically boosted” the effectiveness of the Russian Air Force. The Independent wrote last month that those munitions had been “changing the face” of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev. - RT

For those still inclined, like Dima (as he has spoken of “upcoming peace negotiations since summer 2022, back then he spoke as if everything Russia was doing was to get a better angle for the “forthcoming peace talks”) to assume the inevitability of upcoming peace talks, resting merely on Kiev’s willingness to do so, should look to Medvedevs most recent statement from the past 12 or 24 hours. Now, he may be playing the role of public hardliner, but even if that’s the case it shows that the starting point from Russias mind is far beyond what even the most pessimistic NATO member has acknowledged. For someone as high up as Medvedev to speak repeatedly of a “return to Russia of its historic lands and people”, as well as “finally and ultimately clearing out the Nazi criminals in Kiev” is quite telling on where this thing is headed and what Moscow has in mind.

Американцы, мастера рекламы и большие любители блефа, нарисовали красивый плакат победоносной войны с Японией. Японцы тоже были в этом заинтересованы, им надо было как-то сгладить углы. Colonel of the SVR, MGIMO professor Andrei Bezrukov - about Macron’s statements about sending the French army to Ukraine:
“Forget about Macron, he will be gone soon. He's in his last presidential cycle. He can’t run for office, and he’s such a dick. Someone I know joked that the French rooster is the only bird that can sing while standing knee-deep in shit. In reality, these statements are worthless, they are worth nothing!
With the contingent of the French army that can still be sent, this will solve absolutely nothing on the battlefield. This will only add to the mess. The French army is in principle incapable of introducing a field war of the type that exists here now. She is not prepared for this, she is not equipped for this. It can fire nuclear missiles from a submarine. Maybe, but she's not stupid enough to do it. She can give her planes, good planes. But what kind of pilots will have to be placed there? And everyone understands that if they are in Ukraine, they will burn.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has responded to the International Criminal Court’s rumored plans to indict Israeli officials for war crimes by claiming that for the ICC to do so would be an “antisemitic hate crime”.
    Yes, you read that correctly.
So, to be absolutely clear, Israel’s top government official has announced that charges against himself and other Israeli leaders for obvious war crimes like intentionally bombing and starving civilians would be both “antisemitic” and a “hate crime”.
Keeping that in mind, let’s turn now to the bill that just passed in the US House of Representatives which can be used to suppress entirely legitimate political speech critical of Israel as “antisemitic”.
And again, this is happening within a political climate in which the Israeli government publicly announces that “antisemitism” includes charging Israeli war criminals for extensively documented war crimes.

This makes them look dominant, especially becaue it is the main thing that the Banderites got in vast numbers and where it is hard to see them getting destroyed like the tanks and artillery sytems.
