- More Sonic Advance 3 goodness. This one was actually started last year, but I just now got around to finishing it. Also I think the volume levels are a little more tame here than on my last track. :x

This is incredible, you have managed to capture the style of the original composer.
You can feel Sonic Riders and Phantasy Star in the music, which are other games in which this composer worked.
Still the best cover out there, others continue to disappoint
I remember when I first found this remix I had this feeling I can't even explain. I still have it now

Sounds like Act 1's music. Was half-hoping you had Act 2's and Act 3's as well. IMHO, the map theme for Ocean Base wasn't much to shout about, but the actual Acts, notably 2 and 3 had good music. One of the two was really fast-paced. Forgot which one, though.
And keeping in line with secret base themes, how about Sonic Advance 1's Secret Base Zone, Act 1? ^_~
EDIT: It was Ocean Base's Act 2. That particular track sets things up for a really fast run-through.

I'm pretty certain that's not a wah-wah guitar effect, but rather some kind of sync saw going through some filters or EQing. Some synths have a function called oscillator sync where the cycle of one oscillator is reset by the other, which creates these really cool, really harsh, throaty sounds. Daft Punk uses it a lot.
