This is the story of how he came to despise authority and how he became the Spider!

Mithrax is probably mad because he bought a enhancement core for 2,560 legendary shards back when Forsaken came out.

I love the confirmation that Spider is fucking jacked. Eliknsi don't get fat, and people always underestimate Spider. The man is one of the largest Eliksni alive today. His sheer physical size was enough to intimidate Drifter. The man is an absolute unit.

I loved the Above all else lore because it puts into context Misraak's relationship with Eido and how he strives to do better as a parent. I also love the narrative of how even Misraak's mother, who lived through the whirlwind, could see the effect she has had on her son and was already questioning her decision to engrain the brutality she's acquired onto him.
I really wanted to believe Eramis could change too. She was a mother as Mithrax was a father.
Honestly, Spider and Drifter would be the ultimate team. They’ve both been marooned, bothseen a whole lot no one else has, and the two of them are con men.
I’ve often said how Drifter and Spider are like the Han Solo and Jabba the Hutt of Destiny. Drifter doesn’t stay in one place very long, and is out for himself. While Spider, like Drifter, has many names and had a enterprise in the Shore. Though he still has a criminal empire, albeit smaller, he still has influence among some Guardians and certain Elksni.
I never thought about it, but that is so true.
They'd never trust each other enough to make it worthwhile. They already have a sort-of business relationship (or had before the Tangled Shore fell.) While that would likely work again, I'm pretty sure Drifter has more power at this point, so Spider would most likely be reluctant to enter into any bargains with him. Then again, there's no way to really know, as both tend to keep a lot of secrets.
If not for his immortality, I do think Drifter would have sold his Ghost to Spider ages ago for a tidy sum... though I think we'd all have a somewhat different opinion of the rogue if he had. Just a random thought...

The lore for Rakis and Misraaks shows just how good the writing chops at Bungie have gotten. While the game remains a shooter, the "under-the-hood" is squarely rooted in RPG soil.
I'd always interpreted that illustration was of Misraaks was the instance of him making the brothers walk the plank (with remaining loyalists), not them watching.
I think it would be an amazing idea to have nezarec resurrected and be a raid boss

you know what's crazy, connecting this back to the House of Wolves Expansion back in D1. Skolas probably took power because Mithrax was pirating around the system. If he hadn't been influenced by Nezerec's power, He prob could have challenged Skolas for Kellship. Worse, could you Imaging a Nezerec empowered Mithrax being pulled through time by Skolas up at the Citidel, lol.
Additionally, there are some lines regarding the marooning of Rakis in the ketchcrash dialogues. I think it was something along the lines of "If I knew the real values of those relics, I wouldn't have let you maroon me on that rock so easily"

So this has nothing to due with the lore in the video. But while rewatching the cutscene from Joker’s Wild, the one where the Drifter uses a mote to take someone out, I noticed a very interesting piece of dialogue. I noticed The Drifter said “Gambit is a chance at SALVATION”. “Salvation” being a word used by the Witness very often, and also used often by his disciples and those who work for him. Do you think they’ve been hinting at Drifters’s alliance with the Witness this whole time?!? And maybe that’s why he basically set the events of the recent season in play, even though he openly admits to knowing that the relics were from an old disciple??? Food for thought

Byf, one major mistake I (and someone else) spotted. In the cutscene where we see the eliksni crew get marooned, it's Spider and Siviks and another eliksni (possibly his mother) behind them, with mithrax in the doorway.
Also also, we don't *know* Spider's real name for sure. I forgot the lore tab/when he says it, but he said that Rakis was on a bounty that he picked up
That was a metaphor of him killing off his life as Rakis and starting his new life as Spider, he didn't litteraly collect the bounty on Rakis.
He straight up explains he claimed his own bounty by using the alias of Spider.
