Title: Watch how rare antique chair is restored
Music: Thinking About The Universe - Nat Keefe & BeatMowe - Jak na to + styl
What I LOVE BEST about your videos, besides the extraordinary work, is that you don’t talk over everything you do. As viewers, we can see it, and your typed messages perfectly explain the finer details. In a world filled with so many people talking, this is such a relief. Thank you.
I agree, but sometimes I do want a little more information. Like why did you use hide glue on one part and pva on another. Same project
@@SiddiGorsky-xc7ubIf you check out @Baumgartner Restoration, he does Art Restoration, you’ll see hide glue is something restorers can ‘step back’ and ‘unglue’ so to speak, with various solvents and heat. It’s often used as a bond between materials, like canvas to wood. PVA is a bonding glue, which when used on wood + wood, it’s hoped it won’t break or come apart (not generally reversible). ❤
I like that he does not use music throughout his videos. The sounds of the workshop is enough.
This gentleman is not merely a restorer. He is a master craftsman. You can tell a lot by a craft person’s workshop and his is as immaculate as he himself is.
One of the best restorations I’ve seen yet! I have no words…
I love how you restore things by taking the time to actually replace material where it's been broken, eaten away or otherwise damaged. So many other "restoration" videos "restore" pieces by making the end result nothing like the original piece assuming because they don't want to invest the time or possess the skill to do so. I've picked up so many incredibly useful tips and tricks watching your videos.
Your restoration process is wonderful. I love how you let your work speak and not the other way around. I love learning from you. Thank you for all you do.
I see patience, love and respect of materials used. These attributes are very much lacking in our society nowadays. A marvellous restoration work.
Yes indeed he cuts alittle bit to repair while others would just replace the whole panel .
👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💥💥💥
I can only echo a all the other comments about your expertise and quality of your work, and how it speaks for itself. More please.
3 months ago I hoped that this channel will hit 1000 subs by the summer of 2021. Now its almost 10K !😍😍😍 Thanks for your support guys!

Ahti is a master craftsman. I love your work sir!
You must be trained in upholstery! Am I right? The chair fits perfectly. Outstanding renovation once again!
I almost had a heart attack at the 11:30 repair-I thought, “what in the heck is he cutting off? He just fixed that piece!!?” You are a master craftsman, and I love watching your videos.
I recently picked up a bankers chair made in March 1930. It has this same decorative nailed leather back, and I appreciated watching your technique. (I threw out the horsehair-I didn’t know it could be reused 😝)
Side note, my bankers chair was $5.00 American. 😂. It is in solid, beautiful condition. The leather was dry rotted, and it needed a refinish. Almost done with it, and I can’t thank you enough for the tips I am learning from your videos!
Clamps are wood workers best friends.😄
I got so excited watching this chair regain it's beauty under your capable hands.

I love all of your videos. You are absolutely great. Keep up the amazing work. Sending you lots of smiles from Texas USA.
Thank you for saving this treasure of a chair.
I just recently discovered your channel! Your work is amazing! These videos are not only educational, but they bring back many fond memories to me. When I was very young, I had a relative that did upholstery and she always had something that I could help her with. If I were younger, I would consider getting into this line of work in her memory.
The chair is better than the new one! Great job! Good luck!
Fantastic Craftsmanship and Restoration !! 😊😊😊
From your homemade angled clamping wooden pieces to your patient carving and sanding to the understanding of structure and period finishes, you are my favorite restoration and refinishing channel. I find it very peaceful and calming watching you work. Thank you. ❤
Excellent restoration very nice 🙂🙂🙂
There you go! It's time for the next 100 years !!! What a wonderful job you've done! You should have left a note in the chair cushion for the next restaurateur...
At first, I didn't see the potential in this chair. But as you worked I started to see it's beauty. Beautiful work.
Ahti, I wish I 'd known about you in 2019 as my wife and I were visiting Tallin, Estonia. We were in Europe celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. I would have loved to come by and visit your shop. Anyway keep up the good work. I love your videos.
you gave a second life to this old chair, but in a more attractive appearance ! thanks
Wonderful work from a master carpenter 👍

What a lovely chair. You can almost hear it breathe a sigh of relief through the screen. You do excellent work. You seem to love the pieces back to life🐝🤗❤️
The power of sanding, clamps of all kinds, clever repairs, hard work, skill, attention to detail, love for restoration, tools of all sorts, patience, did I mention sanding?, skill, unusual repairs, very clever repairs, skill, patience, etc. = beautiful chair back to life! Thomas Johnson (Maine) would be proud of you.
Another wonderful restoration, the fine detail to even gluing and carving those slivers of wood in the back detailing, so relaxing to watch.
You are The Best of all. My congratulations!

I'm a new viewer and think your work is fabulous! Attention to detail, using extra care to make things right again. Loved this!
The flower tacks really finished it up nicely. Amazing what such a small feature can do. Nice work.
Beautiful restoration, very handsome restorer. very relaxing to watch in every respect. Love the way you so carefully take bits out and put bits in and it shows that you take pride in what you do.

Nicely done
You're a genius!
I love to see this kind of carpentery restorations. Again, very nice video, thank you!
I love your clean working
Beautiful job your chair just looks beautiful
I find the shots with all the clamps in place SUPER satisfying. I think the arrangement is cool, plus it looks solid. S-O-L-I-D!
👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💥💥💥💖💖💖
Wow, but its always wow with your perfectto work mr A T. 👍🎓
Awesome, thank you very much !
WHAT BEAUTIFUL WORKMANSHIP, A PLEASURE TO WATCH. BRAVO
The chair looks so tiny next to him. I think maybe people were smaller in the early 1900s. With sanitation we do better and have a chance to grow more. Either that or he is a really big guy. Just my thoughts.
Wow! Beautiful restoration done by a true craftsman. I love your transformations of things long forgotten!
I love chairs. You get very neat chairs. Great work. Chet Obrien
Excellent Job!
About halfway through this video, I realized: Wow, Ahti really LOVES this chair! I hope you are able to make time for projects that bring you this much pleasure, often. I enjoyed watching you make something beautiful with care. 🙂
Yes I do, I have 2 of these now :)
One of the most beautiful restoration jobs I have ever watched it was like watching the chair just be made simply beautiful ❤️
