I had the same experience. I had the same friend group from freshman to senior year, simply because I felt obligated to be loyal to them. I also had a "friend" in that group who never had anything good to say about anyone, so ofc our friendship was sorta toxic. It was only until junior year when we stopped having the same classes and I started tutoring during lunch that I realized I didn't want to be in that situation anymore, because honestly, that's all it was, a situation. A chore. Something I felt trapped in. So taking a break really is the best thing you can do, just to see if you want to go back. I stayed courteous with them, but I moved on pretty quickly lol. Screw toxic "friends," you should always treat yourself with respect and dignity and walk away when you're not happy with something. You're never trapped, but you could be limiting yourself, so don't waste your time with those who bring you down.

Since I am basically at home studying online and being all alone. Because I feel like most of the friends I had growing up would use me by asking for favors and such
