COMBINATION SALAD

- COMBINATION SALAD
2 lbs bologna, coarsely ground with a grater
4 to 5 boiled eggs and grated too
cheddar cheese to equal about a little over 1 cup grated
1⁄2 cup dill pickle relish
1/4 cup of finely chopped onion
1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing(like miracle whip)
Use a grater or a old fashion hand grinder or use food processor to grate or grind your bologna, cheese, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix everything together in a big bowl.
I used Tupperware's master system base with grater shedder accessory,
but you can also use the fusion master mincer accessory attachment.
It is best to chill a hour before serving, we like to spread on bread and make sandwiches out of it, or serve it with crackers, or serve it on bed of lettuce and eat it at a salad.
Note: you can also use a combination of bologna and ham too in this recipe! I also didn't put any salt in this recipe either because the bologna and dill pickle relish is salty.

I just realized I watched Sara grinding bologna for 10 solid minutes. I’m not complaining. I’d do it again. In fact I probably will. That’s how hopelessly mesmerized we are by her
👍I just caught myself in a daze staring through the grinder watching food come out😜
I like her a lot but i really wish she would edit that stuff out. I personally dont wanna watch that for 10 minutes straight when anyone can give out the amounts.
To be honest I could probably watch Sara make dog food and still be mesmerized
I alternate between the grinding and looking at the clutter in the kitchen. 😱
W H Y???
There is a small town store that has a deli and at the end of the week they take their "ends" of the deli meat, bologna, ham, turkey & add cheese and relish and spices mayo and it is so good!!! There are lots of combinations to be had!
Her sweetness is so needed right now, she’s an angel from heaven
Heaven would tip over, if that were the case. Besides angels never incarnate into human form.

Grinding bologna and someone hacking in the background. Yum !
My momma ground her's on an old fashioned metal grinder that clamped on to the table. After all the ingredients were ground they would run a slice of white bread through the grinder to clean it out. It got included in the mix, nothing went to waste, lol. I still have the old family grinder and I am 74 now. Good memories!
Love, love, love this woman and her channel!!!
Sara makes you feel loved,
She is just so wholesome and precious!
Don’t apologize about ur videos being too long! I love all ur videos! I enjoy the long ones the most! Ur videos make me homesick! God bless u and keep up the great work! 😇
Her videos were better edited.
I must say that although I don’t eat this way. I couldn’t stop watching this video or the few after this one based on your easy going spirit. I have seen many pages on social media of folks with great recipes or products but horrible attitudes. I would never buy anything from them but I’d certainly buy from Sara any day of the week✨✨✨✨
Sara seems to be unblemished by the evil that exists in our world. She is pure.
She must be protected at all costs
Angelic..... she is.
She is the gadget Queen😆! if there's a kitchen gadget I believe Sara has it! The sweetest woman ever!!

@@TSmith-lw3fz sounds like ur jealous because u just named three things that Sara does for a living...what do u do? Post comments from ur granny's basement?! 😂
I watched the last video you did on this type of salad. I did bologna and salami. It's now, my teenaged sons favorite sandwich spread. I'm going to add the boiled eggs next time. Thanks for sharing. 😊
9 minutes of Sara grinding meat was more therapeutic than 9 weeks of counselling
Amen to that!! 🤣
Whole heartly agree with u and much much cheaper with better results with our emotions she's really a great person love that she is herself
Ew wtf
Anyone else get their ASMR triggered?
I’m from Louisa originally and have not had combination salad in years and I’ve started missing it so this is what led me to your video. Thank you so much.
Oh my God, I used to love that. For whatever reason, my mom didn't make it, but when we went on visits to Kentucky, sometimes I'd have it. We would go to Lake Cumberland a lot, and a nearby convenience store had a small deli where you could order it by the pound or in a sandwich. Oh man, that takes me back.
My Grandma used to make this! Love this! You brought back such good memories with just a simple humble recipe! 🙏
She has the sweetest voice ♥️
Absolutely love your style, personality and awesome recipes. Thank you so much for sharing this all with us.
She is quite unique on you tube. An innocent soul.
I love when she says that a recipe is old fashioned.
God Bless you sweetheart. Such an amazing soul doing great work. You seem like you are one of the kindest people out there. Greetings from New Jersey.
LOL I remember having this as a kid!! As an adult I stick with just making tuna or egg salad. Sometime I snag a ham salad at the store though. Bologna is reserved for a nice white bread, cheese, and mayo sammich! 😂
Im in Tn and I make this with hot dogs, my homemade sweet pickles, boiled eggs and shredded velveeta cheese, mustard and catsup. I dont grind the ingredients. I use a chopper like I would use to chop cabbage for cole slaw. I leave it chunky. Fill a hot dog bun, wrap it in foil (place on a cookie sheet ) and cook in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
That sounds delicious.
@@wrenwrenwood6503 my hubby’s momma made this all the time. My hubby loves it.
@@Sandra-pm3it You and others are another reason I love this channel. You get me thinking outside the box. Combinations I would never think of coming together. Sara says all the time about if you don't like an ingredient then change it. This is just what her family and friends like. And the members like you post different ways to make it. I like hot dogs better than bologna. But if you didn't post this, I would never think of just changing it over to something different. Thanks.
@@wrenwrenwood6503 ❤️ (and the hot dogs were pre cooked. I forgot to mention that.)

That's what we call bologna salad, or sandwich spread. Everything you put in yours except we use sweet pickles instead of dill. My hubby adds celery to his portion and I like cheese and egg in mine. He uses mayo and I use miracle whip. But yep! Same stuff! :)
My momma use to make this!! I love it!! ❤️
I love these Gadgets that she has.
Production came to a halt with that finer grater. When you switched to the larger one it was doing great! I hate you lost the thing that pushes the bologna down into the grater. I hope you are able to find it. The finished product looked delicious! Thanks for sharing! 😃 We have something similar to this recipe here in South Carolina but we use ham and no cheese. We call it ham salad. Take care✌
We make ham salad here too. It is yummy.
That right there is what southern people love to eat that is a house hold staple that we eat alot of in the summer time....and your recipe for it looks more delicious than what my wife makes...I'm going to have her check out your channel so she can learn from you hun...lol
I've lived in the South all my life, and I've never seen, nor eaten this ever. So, idk about you saying this is a southern staple, and we love eating it.
@@teresabasinger5965 hun I lived in Florida and you can't get no more South than that and I grew up eating it...and now I live in Alabama and I still know people that eats it here and Alabama is a southern state also so I'm just guessing on it being something that southern people eat my mother made it for years and my wife makes it in her own way so if I'm wrong about it being southern food I don't know what else to say on it...every one has their own opinions on things I suppose hun
@@timothytucker7700 Sugar, I know my geography. I was just saying that not all Southern people eat, or have eaten this, or the other she made before. You made it seem like this is an everyday go to in the South. It may be for some families, but it never was for mine. My mom was from Hattiesburg Mississippi, and she never fixed it. I'd never seen this until Sara demonstrated her latest sales pitch for the grinder. Neither of my grandmothers made this. They both were Southern ladies, and made everything from scratch.
@@teresabasinger5965 your right on that I guess maybe i worded it wrong no worries lol
@@timothytucker7700 No worries! 👍
A half-hour video to demonstrate why you should not buy this grinder.
April 2022 just seeing this. I'm not s bologna fan but, I bought ham ends, salami ends, buffalo chicken ends and a half pound of cooper cheese. Sarah it's sooo good. Thanks for this
Where can I purchase the onion holder? Just asking viewers, does Sarah ever respond guy? Everyone have a blessed day
SENDING PEACE AND LOVE FROM PHILADELPHIA 💋😘
I've seen it with peas. Either way, it's delicious! Thanks Sara💗
My Mamaw use to always make Combination but she did Bologna,Ham,Cheese,Mayo & Pickle Relish. No eggs or onions in hers. We are from Pike Co. KY.
Thanks for sharing!
Omg seeing you write mamaw brings a smile to my face I have always called my grandma mamaw and I now live in Wisconsin and people think I'm crazy for talking like that watching this video took me back home I miss all that❤❤😊😊😔😔
Brooke I just got me a grand baby and that’s what he’ll be calling as well ❤️
If your cone plugs up on the finer setting, just run a little pickle or onion through there. Cleans it right out!! Then go back to the meat. My mom used to do that with her meat grinder. I have the grinder now. It was her moms too. I'm not really sure how old it is. Before I use it, as she taught me, run a piece of white bread through it first to clean any rust off of it!!! Can you believe that?? :) lol
I love watching your U Tube video and I download all your video
This was fun to watch with the sound off but I understood what what you were doing. It looks really tasty. Love you Sara!❤❤
I am a new subscriber. I've been watching your videos for a couple of weeks. I bet it would be fun to cook with you. Take Care, Sara.
I love it when Sara whispers thinking we can’t hear
So true 🤣😅
Sara I make something like this only with canned ham, mix mayo, sweet relish spread it on a fresh bun and delicious 😊
My mom used to make that. She called it Ham Salad.
I have to give it to both Betty and Sara for their pure perseverance with this grinder if it was me I would’ve either pulled the entire house apart or I would’ve just tossed the blinking thing out the door and jumped for joy when a couple of cars flattened the blessed thing 😂
This is true Southeastern food which is made with love. I hope soon I can make it myself Miss Sara!!!
Here in western PA, never heard of Combination Salad!
But I've eaten it before..... called it
Ham Salad!
❤ you Sara!

Hey Sara I found this gadget here in England so I can buy one, I didn't know that we could still buy Tupperware here. if I could have purchased from you hun, I would have. It's certainly looks like a sturdy piece of equipment, I'll let you know when I get mine sweetheart and keep up the great cooking you are teaching us to do. Luvs yas.💕❤️🙏🇬🇧
That’s the problem with too many gadgets. Assembly, usage, clean up and then storage. Plus , trying to keep all the parts together. You misplaced the plunger, and that makes that grinder pretty much ineffective. I use my food processor with the grater blade, or just a box grater. Small, efficient and just one part. 👍😘
I watched your video on the veggie goulash, I gotta try that recipe! Love your vegan and vegetarian videos!🌹♥️
Your recipes are budget conscious for large families. Very delicious and kids love it. This video is perfect. Love watching you guys work🤗 God bless 🙏🇺🇸💚
Hi! Sara! I just love you so much!! It's always good to see you & your recipy's!! 💖🙌
Hi Sara & Jamie, another great video! Delicious recipe! 😊👏🏻
this reminds me of the balogna salad simply sara used to make just before this recipe thank you for the recipes of my gran :( RIP
I’m loving all of these videos 🥰
Looks delicious Sara!! 🤗💖🙌💖
Looks so good! I haven't had this for along time! Dukes mayo is the best ever!!!
Sara I’m in WV and I’m pretty sure I’m very near you and we never had combination salad. All we ever had was bologna salad. The first time I ever saw combination salad was in a grocery store in Kentucky, and I had no idea what it was. I guess it just all depends on how your family does things. My dad would make huge batches of bologna salad. And we would eat on it for what seems like weeks. I know it wasn’t that long but it sure seemed like it. LOL
For some reason bologna tastes better when it's grinded with cheese and mayo.
Also when it's cut, piled on a sandwich with tomato and cheese!
Another bologna piling: Dagwood sandwich.
(with lettuce, Miracle whip, bun as in our school lunch !)
Looks great..we call it deli spread because it has bologna, salami, and other end pieces..it sells for 1.99$ a lb..we add mayo and relish..I like hot sauce added.
I’m definitely trying this! I think this is going to be a go-to at my camp. 👍 I have to get one of those grinders.
Salad camp?
My family makes this ❤️ yummy goodness
Just made bologna salad yesterday. My family loves it. I don't add cheese to mine. I only use Kahn's bologna, to me its the best. Eastern Kentucky thing. Lol!

Hiya Beautiful Sara. OMG I have a hunk of mortadella (Italian bologna) I can use that. Yummy yum...

Not only is it bologna, but it's a low-grade bologna. Gross gross gross I'm dying over here. Y'all are all going to have heart attacks before dessert.
